This is why you will never go wrong or astray with seeking the presence of Jesus and spending time in His Word. When you seek Jesus, you will get discernment and wisdom. Gaining discernment and wisdom will never come through coercion or causing you to jump through spiritual loops and following a certain method. This is so true! I feel He is telling me to just keep coming to Him, sit at His feet and worship and adoration and He will do the work in me and lead me and change me and continue to set me free. I was one of these ppl, looking for depth and fell into deception, after rejection from the church. But God....had a plan, and He saved me!!!! Hallelujah!!!! This is not normal for me, this joy is supernatural!!!! The best thing I ever did was surrender to Jesus, and that is my only job now, every moment of every day, just surrender to Jesus and He does the rest. The body needs to pray daily for strengthening of discernment! Why are so many even able to be deceived? There is only one go-between to the father and his name is Jesus Christ! Why are so many worshiping their pastors??? I don't attend church at all anymore and the time and energy I put into the church, I now spend in my prayer closet and my life has changed drastically and dramatically! You are right not to put a pastor on a pedi stool but please don’t be deceived by forsaking the assembly of the brethren. I say this in total love. God bought the Israelites out together, not one by one, and He did not scatter them in the wilderness, and the ones that made it to the Promised land, went in together and fought together! God’s way is a body working together. Satan wants to scatter the sheep so that they will be easier to pray on. So, there is balance and truth in the Word. Very good . Finally someone in Charismatic circles noticed what is going on . All this teachings : how to talk to angels, how to talk to cloud of witness, how to interpret constant numbers all the time, how to ascend to different realms and bunch of other stuff that sounds sooo deep…. But at the same time the divorce rate in churches is the same as in the world and kids become atheist in record numbers.
Truth! Our familes, marriages homes reveal our hearts and are we following Jesus wholly?! Too many Christian’s are living like the world. They are not following Jesus. My dad really wants me in a church, I have been to many, some teach the word really well, but do not believe in the gifts, some are mega and don’t know the sheep. Some are focused on worship and healing but are not promoting the word. I feel lost and am so grateful for the internet. I can get sermons, be taught the word, worship the LORD, and get prayed for, I do fellowship but with my parents and a few friends. It’s hard to a tribe. 😢churches are very clickish and new comers are met with suspicion. 😊
Attend church to worship God, serve others, hearing THE TRUTH OF HIS WORD. The Bible tells us how we are to live, love others and warns us of false doctrine.

Since there are 35,000 denominations in the US there are millions of interpretations of His word. Go in your closet like Jesus said, worship Him and be taught of Him. Then serve others outside of the 4 walls. Sitting politely on a pew has done nothing but hurt Christianity.

I'm only 3 minutes into this and I already testify to the truth of this message... I'm gifted in certain areas but we must be well-balanced in all Scripture and areas of life, and alert and aware because the enemy is like a roaring lion seeking whom he MAY devour.... it's those who are out of balance in any area who are more vulnerable to being picked off by the adversary... we need each other to operate in our specific gifting and not bury our talents...I spent years upon years by God's leading me to be hidden and just feeding on His Word, storing it up in my heart (Psalm 119:11; 2 Tim. 2:15),
Look to the pulpit first. Right or wrong, People quickly & easily follow teachings of charismatic leadership. Those cult type behaviors are initiated at the top. People used to tell me that church leaders are "clicky". I denied it because I understood that leaders meet and spend time together to develop relationships and discuss spiritual/church goals, etc. A couple of days ago, I woke up hearing "as the church goes, so goes the country." Sitting in His presence Holy Spirit brought back several memories to show me that although I was among them, I wasn’t really one of them. I attended a meeting where leaders were discussing how to grow. When the leader suggested they be drawn to him, I heard myself ask, "then how can Jesus do what he wants?" Awkward Silence. Then back to the discussion. I was never again invited to one of those meetings but the Lord did give me a dream about one and a message. Lol
When leaders gather to compare ideas, & glorify themselves, methods of men are created and the people in the pews are misled to follow cult like behaviors and beliefs. It’s no longer about God’s desires, it’s about them. That’s elitism! The same ideology is destroying America.
Ultimately, Ezekiel 34 is the Lord’s message to the pulpit. I’ve never heard the pulpit sharply rebuke itself, warn itself and call for repentance. But God is.
I fairly recently listened to a Kenneth Haggin sermon talking about this topic. Focusing on like deliverance heavily and losing the primary focus preaching the gospel/ seeking out the lost to bring them into the knowledge of Christ Jesus

Deliverance has became cult like and full of idolatry. God can deliver you when you humble yourself and worship him. Movements of deliverance have stirred and released more demons than they have removed them. PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED. When ministry focuses on only one gifting they spit on the word of God.
This is true. I notice if they cast out a spirit and don't fill them with the Holy Spirit or baptised for the remission of sin but let them go home in their old life, there is a very high chance it can return with other spirits. Many people follow them for sensationalism but the core of the Gospel is being neglected. They are preaching the Gospel of "the ministry of the Holy Spirit," not of Jesus. The signs follow after Him and prove/bear witness of Him.

Hasn't the church been in this for years? I completely agree, but again this has been going on for a long time. I would say that the Light is coming on and revealing this in a more broader way to more of the body. It's my conviction that the Lord is drawing near and things are being revealed judged on one hand and strengthened and established on the other. In truth were just in the beginning of this work. It's the Sword of the Lord the breath of His mouth to slay our enemies and build His house.

Deception has been alive over a hundred years or more especially in the cristian community, All cristian dicern with their wisdom and their own intellect , instead of love and revelation and letting the spirit be the teacher , wake up church
I worry that my church thinks they are the only ones who know the true revealed word of Christ. They do believe the whole bible teaches about Jesus Christ but somehow there is a strange notion that no one else or church has this revelation. They are always rebuking other churches and pastors correcting their wrong teachings. I cant put my finger on it but something feels off. Please pray to our Heavenly Father Yahweh to guide me as to what is going on. They dont believe in dreams and it seems prophecy is only by the apostle mostly for the nation. Gifts of the Holy Spirit are not seen in any of the church members except for the Apostle. Church members barely pray and there is a strong obsession on the word alone and that's it. Some of the things believed are women should not work and must follow the head of the home regardless. If widowed men can remarry anyone but women but stay within the husbands family so that inheritance is not lost to another man.
All the Glory belongs to God! When J.J. said God told me to keep it simple, you got my attention. What were the first words that Jesus said when he started. Saint Matthew 4:17 From then onwards Jesus began his proclamation with the message, REPENT, for the kingdom of Heaven is close at hand. (He did not say; I will give you a TV, a brand new car (a horse or a camel) a new home.....etc.) He said:REPENT.

How about FORGIVENESS? Matthew 6:14-15 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either. (What happens to us if you cannot FORGIVE?)
