That is an epic score you got! I knew the Cadet was made with bedpan lugs, although I thought only the ADA height ones would have. The fact that the one you have is a standard height model with the bedpan lugs is EXTREMELY RARE!
Very nice 1970 Cadet with bedpan lugs (the lugs are not too pronounced so could easily be used as a normal toilet in a house) - the flush is much quieter than a standard Cadet from the same period but equally just as great. It does need some restoration (new tank bolts, possibly a new tank to bowl gasket, flapper (as shrunk and occasionally sticks open) and better fill valve) but nothing major. I do like this and is most definitely "Cool"!!!
That's a really cool find! You wouldn't expect to find bedpan lugs on a standard height Cadet either. Obviously you wouldn't use a flushometer bedpan washer on this but they made ones that look like a kitchen sprayer that just comes out of the wall that can be used near any toilet. And as OCC said, the bedpan lugs simply let you rest a bedpan in a vertical position in the toilet so you can rinse it out and everything will run into the toilet.
This was an amazing find. A UA-cam first too. Also, bedpan lugs are meant to hold the bedpan in place so it can be tipped and then there is usually a nozzle attached that can spray the bedpan out. I'll post something about it eventually
Wow!!! What an amazing 1970 Cadet elongated with bedpan lug! Yesterday I got a NOS 1970's Crane elongated bedpan lug toilet!!!
Aha😋 old is good

Congrats! Didn't even realize these were made as standard-height models!
Me neither!
Amazing toilet

I’ve never seen a Cadet with bedpan lugs before, definitely an incredible and beautiful find the flush is satisfying and quiet which is really cool.
