There isn't a person out here that watches your videos that thinks you ain't trying. You guys are remarkable. You had so many things that needed your attention. Great job. You will prevail.
I'm from Rio de Janeiro and I've been watching your videos for two months. I am impressed how you guys work hard. Matt is a super handyman. 👏👏👏 Good luck to you guys. 👍😃⛵
Kristen we are not annoyed you guys are awesome....screwing up makes you human........We love that you do not quit or give up!!!!! GET SOME Kristen and MATT!!!!!!!
My thought exactly. A very gradual bend might work. That 90 degree bend no way. Unless maybe steaming the section to soften it. That's probably way more trouble than it's worth when a couple of cuts and a bit of trim will look really nice.
Matt, your a clever guy! Scooter adaptions!!!! Don’t be so hard on yourselves. Trim board is the way to go! Keep up the good work. Really enjoy watching you both. Krystyna from Wisconsin
Keep your chin up!!! To field install that large piece of laminate with the radius is very difficult. Even for a pro it would be a daunting task. You would need to heat up the entire bend as you install it. It’s just not that easy. I think your making the right decision to go with a corner trim!
You guys have such good chemistry together. regardless whether you succeed or fail, you both come out smiling. Its exciting to watch you guys setting goals and working towards achieving them.
Malc uk 🇬🇧 here you guys are an inspiration to us all and you can see all the time you are each other’s rock -it’s so nice to see a vid with honesty that shxt happens but the wall will look great with a bit of beading keep going both and thanks 😊
Crazy how you are there working your butts off looking out the window at the people having fun wishing that was you....well there are A LOT of us working away watching you guys wishing that was us!! Extremely grateful for the content you guys share, thank you for letting us be apart of your lives!
Matt, these projects might not always come out as visualized but the attempt is so important. I suffer from the problem if I can't see my way through a project I just tend to ignore it( sometimes for a decade). I'm drawing inspiration and going to push myself to finish some things even if it's buck wild ugly!
P.S. GREAT Videos .. you two make a wonderful couple and team .. love the episodes .. 72 year old pensioner from Dunfermline Scotland .. you bring a smile to my face every episode .. from Scotland .. 'Lang may yir Lum reek'.
Matt is so proud of his lady. Lovely to see and Kirsten, yeah we know he drives you nuts but your love for Matt just shines ✨ You gave it a go on the lamento and it didnt work out so something better will come along for sure. Shooter's are a fun addition too. 👍 👍
You need to heat laminate before attempting to bend it. Use a heat gun to evenly apply heat in the area to be bent and while hot shape it to the corner.
I’m so happy for you both! It’s so nice to see you unwind after working so hard. I’m sad to see the laminate didn’t work out. I know it’s tough to handle those losses but you got this. What ever direction you go, it will look great.

You are an inspiration and I look forward to your videos and progress each week! Stay the course and keep getting on getting on, you will be done before you know it and again traveling the Caribbean.
Secrets reveiled. We all thought you had a magic wood pile until today. Love the trailor attachment. And the utility floor looks fabulous. Great job, thanks for sharing
You two are a joy to watch. The projects y’all have done are great. The boat is looking good I know you are ready to get it done and sail off just stay focused and you will get there. Take care Papajack
Wow you guys! You are doing so amazing and I CANNOT even imagine the level of frustration when it failed the second time after so much prep. Also, holy hell did I laugh so hard at 24:24 ! I hope you don't get too burnt out on it, you're getting so close and it's really looking great. Looking forward to seeing you guys get to enjoy your labors!
Hi guys!! I love your channel, your energy and your attitude. I build cabinets for Viking Yacht Co. and I may possibly be able to offer some help. The Formica is extremely difficult to bend around a tight radius like the one you have. If you are able to, avoid using Formica on that bulk head or any bulk head with a tight radius. Instead if you can get your hands on actual veneer not Formica you will have better success when wrapping a radius. Also try starting at the radius first then glue out from the there. What you do is dry fit your veneer starting at the radius. Make a mark at the top and bottom, both on the veneer and bulkhead where the veneer lines up with the radius. Now you have corresponding marks that you can use to line things up when it comes time to glue. I hope this can help and please feel free to contact me anytime. Keep up the good, hard work. - David
You guys are just too cool. New trendsetters too.. Scooters make so much sense for sailors who always need land transport too for food, sightseeing and full provisioning. Great work.
You all are amazing, every episode is mega entertaining, and I always scratch my head wondering how you got some of the video shots like on the scooter and drone footage.
I am, most of the time, a procrastinator …… you two are my incentive to start and get er done……eventually. Kristen is a peach ! A driving force. Matt amazing ingenuity…💥👍🏻. Thanks
Love scooters and not trying to rain on your parade, but check the spec labels for the scooters... they are Lithium-Ion batteries and not Lithium-Iron. The latter is safe for boats, the first will burn so hot, it will melt a hole through the hull. Also... regardless of battery chemistry, pay attention to the charging brick. Some get so hot you need to put a plate under it.
Good fun! Having better mobility, both 9n and off the water will be great for you guys! Take good care and keep having fun! About the laminate, either a larger radius on the corner, heating the laminate to make the bend, or a trim piece to cover the edges...(?) Your ride, so your choice!😁
Hey guys, we have a garage in the back 1/4 aft like that one our boat. It has a round like that also! It’s a 2 bedroom Beneteau Oceanis 46. We use it to store heaps of stuff! Compressor, fishing, washing machine etc… Gets rid of all the clutter! 🤙❤️

I love your attitudes and when things get rough, you shrug it off and make the best of what you can!! Love the new scooters, live the work!! You can definitely make a nice corner trim for your two adjoining walls!! I am so psyched for you both for your perseverance!! You will be done soon!! The finish project is going to be so so gratifying and beautiful for your future travels!! Keep up the awesome work and videos!! God Bless you both!!
You should have tried a small piece to see if it would bend. I think it would need to be heated, But a simple molding to cover the corner would be the best way, It could even be made with a thin aluminum sheet if you are worried about thickness.
You guys are being real. That's the beauty of your channel. Most people will never be able to have a successful UA-cam channel to fund a luxury life on the seas on a boat that requires a big bank account or big sponsors. Most people would face the challenges you guys face. Smaller, older boats, no buckets of money, and having to do things that are hard to do, especially the first time you do them. Keep it real!
Your failures and the good attitude you guys have afterwards are what keep me here watching. I am starting a farm from scratch, and having never farmed, I'm sure that I will have similar experiences. So I am very glad to see you two push through!
Can’t always be winning when it comes to construction. Watching the struggle is involving us subscribers into your lives and that’s half the fun! You can put some molding over the edges and it would be just as good. See you next week!
Matt, you are “resourceful” the way you’ve used that scooter…and everything else you do. And Kristen, you are such a good partner, hard worker, and yes you “clean up” VERY well, like Matt was saying about his lady.
Absolutely cool scooter. And yes I tell my lovely -all the time, how lovely she looks, after 32 years... and her recently overcoming ovarian cancer. She's my dream girl, so hold on to yours, Matt. She's quite lovely as well!

My dude, you joined the electric scooter team, love it my man I snagged one 2 years ago and she bangs out at 55 mph with a 60 mile range, took a dive on it in old san Juan a couple moths ago broke a rib right in front of a crowd of touristas, was epic

Two pieces with a outside corner...Come on brother. A+ for effort !!! That being said, I love you both and I wish you the success you so well deserve !!!
We can wait! Finish the boat, we are learning as well. I have a similar project going so the learning is cool. I would just use some strips garapa and stick it around the corner and then sand it down. It will finish it off real good bad boy!
man, everytime i watch you two your doing another project..I really hope the return you get for all your hard work is worth it,, lord knows you two deserve a break!
I know several people who work with laminate and they all smiled when they saw you trying to make a right angle turn with it without cracking it. They all said that plan B with a corner piece was the only real solution and they said it would great. They are all impressed with the Matt’s ability to do such good work..
Just wanted to help out. Don't remove the laminate. Tream it to the edge. But 3/4 round stock., stain it to mach laminate. Tack the 3/4 round stocl in place and the urethane. This will hide the edge and not give you a sharp edge. Don't waste the laminate you just put in. The large area of laminate looks good. This is whit I do in the field at our Tide stations. Hope it works for you!!! Best of Lock!!!
You must’ve imagined us thinking “Dang, does he even have a razor”? I love it and it makes you stronger, not Weak! (Now you have to defend that decision...) You guy’s are so much fun to watch & you work so hard! I know every video is a adventure, even on the hard...not many people are that entertaining!!
Matt! You've produced some amazing corner edge trims on your kitchen area! You two got this!!! Just trim it up, it'll be amazing and custom as you 2 have done all along! Great progress Larry laminate and Boat Betty!❤❤

That laminate bend was simply beyond what it can bend - not your fault . A nice corner bead will look fine
We saw it coming. Snap it’s called unforgiving laminate
corner trim, bead...will blend nicely
@@tonilawson9612 absolutely before someone gets cut ouch.
Straighten up the edge, and hide it with a trim. It'll look fantastic. Make sure the trim covers the edge of the laminate though.

Depending on whether it would be usefully positioned, I’d be looking at a corner trim, or a corner trim which flows into a handle.
custom corner trim with high handle fixed at the roof could certainly Turn Failure into Function.
Square off the corner. Then put some corner board on the corner. Your remodel is amazing. Keep going!!!
