It's difficult to identify without your location in the world and a scale, but an educated guess would be a cercartetus lepidus or Tasmanian pygmy possum (the ears are the indicator, assuming it's an adult and simultaneously quite small). If it's larger than it appears, it might be anything from a simple Brushtail Possum to a white-eared opossum (but the snout makes me doubt these). Either way, it is definitely not a squirrel.
