I am going to try this and see if it works. I wish you the best and I am sorry that you have to suffer through pain like this!

    Just got my blood tests back after what the orthopedic doc diagnosed as tendinitis 8 weeks ago. It then started affecting both hands, wrists feet and my GP suggested blood tests. Positive RA. Have gone from low impact standing workouts of an hour plus to this situation in just 8 weeks. Tomorrow I see my GP so hope to be prescribed something to ease this incessant pain 24/7. Yes, first thing in the morning is particularly challenging. Actually I already do some of these when I wake in the night with pain. Best wishes to everyone on this journey.

    What do you do when you cant do most of these. Genuinely asking. I've been trouble shooting trying to do what I can but moving my back like that is damn near impossible and bending at the hip is excruciating.
    *Edit*
    I saw some people liked this, I'm assuming you might be in my position, I just want to say that I have improved alot. My physical therapist says I'm doing better and has me doing more exercises. So try going to a physical therapist. Best thing I've done.

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Jahmai, thanks for your question and sorry for your situation. I am going to make the assumption that you have been diagnosed appropriately. Hopefully, there are still medication options for you to reduce the inflammation or to help you with pain. Exercises tend to work better if acute pain can be controlled at the same time. Now, if you have restriction in your joints and the pain has been long standing and all other therapies have been exhausted then having a specific program developed for you by a trusted professional is probably best as it is too difficult for me to give you advice of this sort in such a forum. Other general options are hydrotherapy (exercises in a pool and often in warm water) allow for more gentle movement. This can help. The aim is to start with more simple exercises and as your confidence builds, to slowly make them a bit harder. Hope that helps.

    how much duration and repetitions for these exercises

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  4 роки тому +3

      The aim of this routine is for it all to be gentle. You should move at a speed and length of time dependent on how you feel. As a guide, the movements should be slow and gentle for about 10-20sec for most of the movements. Repetitions of the exercises lying down and the neck stretches would be once for about 10-20sec (moving slowly for that whole time). For the rolling up and down and follow on exercises, 2-3 times would be good. Take care and hope that helps.

    Can you suggest some excerciae for Rhumeatoid patients and the patient is having left elbow inflammatory since last 1 year

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Anshu, unfortunately it is a tough question to answer as I am fearful to prescribe exercises without knowing more about your elbow pain and whether it is related to the rheumatoid arthritis or not. Reason being is that not doing the right exercise at the right intensity and volume can actually make you worse. Also elbow pain related to where the forearm muscles attach to the elbow can be inflamed as a result of the disease. Hence, the best I can do is to recommend that you get your elbow specifically assessed by a doctor or practitioner. Good luck with it.

    _ up to the 1:42 mark, all these little exercises are perfectly doable for me. For the "lean and rise" exercise, I have a bad habit of holding myself to any upper flat surface whenever I try to sit down or up; so how can I sit up if I do not have any table or a reasonably high furniture surface?
    _ next, for the wall push-up, I get that the hands must be as the same height as the shoulders, but does that mean that they should be on the same alignment or more close to the center or away from it? Because of that unknown factor (for myself), I was never able in my life to do any push-ups.
    I should also precise that I'm a 27-year old Aspie French citizen (you can already guess that my country is WAY late for diagnosing autistic disorders, compared to any British countries), and hasn't done any sports or physical activity (aside from walking 20 miles per week), so I've lost a big chunk of muscle mass and converted indirectly that lost mass into fat mass...
    I'm not fully expecting a global answer to my overall condition, but if I can get some reasonable advice on how to improve or to better learn any of the functional movements, I would gladly read some responses and comments that might point me in the right directions and tips.

      I think you should get this assessed and ask your treating clinician whether it is appropriate to do these exercises. It would not be appropriate for us to provide advice on this platform.

      Hi Kesiya, please just do what you can within your limits and note whether the altered amounts you do still give you some benefit. If it does, continue and perhaps in time you can do a little more. Everyone starts at different stages. If you feel it is just too hard, I guarantee you there will be other things you can do. You would need to seek some advise from your treating professionals who can help you specifically with exercise. Don't give up, there's always something you can do :)

    Hello, can you please make a detailed good exercise video for RA patients? Last month my doctor suggested me to go to physiotherapist and that pysio only took maximum 1 min to teach me exercise for all my joint pains and I forgot what she told as soon as I came out from the room. Will be really greatful if you made detailed exercise video for all the joint pains 🙏

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  3 роки тому +2

      It's difficult to make an exercise video just for RA and address all joint pains. The simple stretches in this video are basic and general. It is best that for RA the exercises are specific and performed at the right intensity and load. I would give feedback to the physio or find another physio who is more attuned to what you are after. They should appreciate which joints are sore and what needs to be addressed to help you in the short and long term.

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  13 днів тому

      Whatever you can tolerate and for as long as you have the time for. Start with a minute or so for each exercise. If it makes you feel better then you can do a little more plus you can also do it throughout the day if it helps. Go easy to start with and build up as your confidence improves.

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  2 роки тому

      Actually, we created this as the movements are very gentle and apart from placing hands on the wall, the other movements don't involve leaning on hands. Also, the aim is just to move without your limits. And as always, if you need more advice, then it is best to see your treating clinicians.

    can a person have AS, RA AND OA together?

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  4 роки тому +1

      This is possible. However, it is atypical to have both AS and RA so rheumatologists would usually review and carefully consider this situation. However, OA can co-exist with other conditions.

    My mum have swollen patches around her body, like on side of her knees and thighs etc. She has borderline uric level and need to lose 10 kg weight . But she can't workout because of pain. Any suggestions for weight loss?

    • @bjchealthAU
      @bjchealthAU  4 роки тому +3

      Hi Nikita, thanks for your query. Sorry to hear about your mum. There is a few ways to answer this:
      1. If she hasn't had appropriate medical reviews, then hopefully she can get the appropriate assessment to get a diagnosis and perhaps then have some medication to help with her pain. Pain reduction is important to help someone exercise
      2. If she has had good assessment and has been struggling with pain for years then she should seek the help of practitioners who can work with her to slowly build an exercise routine. Slow progression and encouragement to try to give her confidence to exercise despite pain
      3. Lastly and the most difficult but the most effective, is to work on her diet. Weight loss is best achieved by being aware of what you eat and trying to eat healthy foods. And of course dietitians are best at helping with this.
      We know it isn't easy but I hope that confirms what you were already thinking.

    Is e Camilla Delilah an t-ainm a th ’orm, tha mi à Timisoara ann an Romania, tha mi an-dràsta a’ fuireach an seo ann am Beanntan Agoura le mo theaghlach, tha mi nam boireannach ag obair, tha mi nam boireannach ainmeil.
    Ach is e an fhìrinn, nuair a bhios airtritis gad bhualadh, tha na pianta mar smeòrach àrd-astar, bidh na pianta ag adhbhrachadh dochann nas fhaide na creideas,
    Bha mi a ’fulang le airtritis, bha mi ann am pian mòr,
    Sèid bho slam co-phàirteach, stiffness, laigse bho fiabhras le call cuideim, chan urrainn dhomh a dhol a dh ’obair,
    Bha am pian cus dhomh,
    Mar sin leig mi dheth a dhreuchd air a sgàth
    Tha e co-cheangailte ri deargadh agus fìor chugallachd,
    An-còmhnaidh aig an taigh excruciating,

    Thug e dhomh an conaltradh,
    Bidh mi a ’conaltradh ris an luibh-eòlaiche, a’ mìneachadh a h-uile dad dha,
    Agus thug e tòrr dòchas dhomh,
    Bhruidhinn sinn mu bhith a ’ceannach an toradh aige,
    Chuir e an stuth-leigheis agus fhuair mi an stuth-leigheis,
    Bidh mi a ’dèanamh tagradh gu h-iriosal agus gu socair mar a thèid a stiùireadh,
    Air an dàrna latha bha mi saor, An ath sheachdain rinn mi a h-uile càil,
    Tha mi air mo shlànachadh gu tur,
    a-nis tha mi gun phian
    Tha mi saor bho shùbailteachd,
    a-nis tha mi sùbailte
    chan eil cruas ann tuilleadh
    Tòrr de thairgsean
    Gu leòr de torturous
    Buidheachas do Dhia a chleachdas
    An Dotair Aham airson mo thinneasan a leigheas
    Dr Aham, mòran taing airson do choibhneas agus do fhialaidheachd,
    Dìreach an fhìrinn,
    Bidh mi a ’roinn seo gus beatha a shàbhaladh
    Mar sin shàbhail iad mo bheatha

    Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disorder. It causes pain and swelling in the joints. My mother also had this problem and after using a lot of allopathic medicines do not get rid of this problem. After using Ayurvedic medicine from Planet Ayurveda she got rid of joint pain and swelling.
