- My Kimber Custom II TLE does not have picatinny rails so finding a flashlight laser combo was limited until I came across the Streamlight TLR-6. This light was fairly priced and what I liked the most was that I did not have to disassemble my Kimber to install. It's a little tricky to get the light mounted, but once on, even the batteries can be changed without disturbing the sight alignment. After mounting, it took a few more minutes to fine tune the laser sights and it was good to go!
Thank you great video, I was looking for my kimber ultra carry and found this one
thanks, it's that little twist motion that can be tricky!
I know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Cairo Yehuda Instablaster ;)
@Landen Emilio thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Landen Emilio It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
Do they make holsters for this setup?
that a good laser I got one for my Ruger SR 1911 the problem I had I can't find a holster that the gun fits with the laser,
let me know if you find one as I have not found one yet, either
it seems wrong that the laser is way under the light when it should be above it since its more ideal to have it closer to the barrel for accuracy concern in shorter ranges. but it looks worth having for the light without the need of a rail adapter
yes, it would be ideal to have the laser and bore on the same plane. That's why it's necessary to site the laser in to the range you feel is best for your surroundings. And you are correct in the fact that the easy installation for 1911's with no picantiny rails is the main reason I purchased it :)
Great Video for I was about to return my Streamlight TLR-6 laser/white light combo because I saw no way for it to fit. You do not show how you installed it but you said you had to twist it to fit. Indeed it took twisting and it is a perfect fit for my Kimber Full size Classic Stainless (Kimber’s original and not the Classic II - which it may or may not fit). The included written instructions do not mention twisting is necessary to install therefore it appears to be impossible to install.
thank you! I was frustrated when I first attempted to install as well...took me some time to figure out the twist motion!
You think this would work for my s&w 5906?
I tried putting it on a Rock island armory 1911 full size and it doesn't fit so im returning it.
What model rock island do you have? And what exactly did not fit about it? Like were you able to screw it on but it didn't align with the barrel or did it not fit around the trigger guard??
Have you found a holster for this setup?
I have not looked deep yet for one other than the generic nylon under shoulder styled ones
Crossbreed Supertuck.
The .45 long slide, with laser sighting.
beauty and perfection :)

The movie line I quoted, or the movie handgun?
These are brand new, we just got 'em in. That's a good gun. Just touch the trigger, the beam comes on, and you put the red dot where you want the bullet to go. You can't miss
Will This Fit Any Kimber 1911???
Should this fit in a compact size 1911?
my guess would be yes. The video used a full size 1911 and there was at least an inch or two showing beyond the end of the light mount. Most likely won't fit back in your holster though.
Is it sturdy on the gun when you shoot it it didn’t wiggle or anything ?
it is completely sturdy when shooting but after about a year, I did lose one of the screws as it came loose and fell out at the range (I think) but never saw it
Doesn't the slide cut off part of the light?
nope, all the moving parts are above the light
I just have a regular kimber custom II. Assuming the light would still fit it?
yes, it should fit as it is designed for the standard 1911 profile
Would this fit on an 19 11 45 Rock Island?
As long as your Rock Island is a standard MilSpec profile of the 1911, this light should fit as it just clamps on either side of the trigger guard
Do it hold zero
it's not perfect, but I check my zero every few range sessions just to be sure. I have to adjust it once or twice a year
@@Motionshooter any holsters for it?
How to order
Will this fit a Kimber 1911 custom LW??
I am not 100% familiar with that model, but I do know that this light works on any standard 1911 platform, regardless of length of barrel.
Does it have a strobe mode??
No, unfortunately it is either on or off but no pressure button to toggle back and forth.
Would this fit a charles daly .45 acp 1911 field grade
This is made to fit any standard 1911 regardless of barrel length as long as trigger guard is normal shape
Does this fit the Stainless Raptor II with 5-inch barrel
Hi Ken! I am not familiar with the Raptor, but this Streamlight will work on any 1911 handgun profile without rails.
What do I do if the laser adjuster is stripped?
that's a tough one as I have not had that issue yet. Maybe a similar sized star-shaped Allen wrench might be able to grab the adjuster screws enough to turn them?
Will this fit The Kimber Rapide Black Ice 10mm?
I don't know for certain, but this light fits a standard size 1911 shape so if your 10mm fits that profile, it might work
@@Motionshooter ok thanks it should
I wish someone would come out with one that just snaps over the trigger guard. This would be a pain on my daily carry gun, unscrew it and take it off when I go out then screw it back on when I get home. Guess I'll have to stick with the hand held till someone figures it out.
Or buy two 1911's 🤷♂️. I put the tlr6 on a 5 in lw kimber and i have a 4.25 lw ruger for carry.
Recover tactical has a grip trigger guard Cover
my concern would be removing the light may cause the need to zero the laser each time reinstalling?
Will it fit a norinco 213?
I am not familiar with that model....Is it a standard 1911 profile?
Does it fit all full size 1911
yes!
Are you selling this gun?
Don’t go cartel gonna be waiting for y’all while you sleep
🤣🤣😭💀
Link to buy it?
I don't think we are allowed to put links in description anymore, but the keywords are 'streamlight', 'tlr6', 'railless' and you'll find it....I got mine on direct from Streamlight
Did you find a concealed carry holster for the pistol with the TLR6?
For such a large piece, I haven't looked for a conceal holster for it. Its pretty bulky
Im new to pistols so i could be wrong but i think the only option is custom;I have a 6in barrel so it also makes it more difficult to find one.
I went with "dme holsters", unfortunately they have a 15 week wait.
Will it fit my performance center 1911 4.2 inch
I would guess 'yes' because my 1911's barrel is only slightly longer
Will it fit my colt? Plz answer
I am not exactly sure about your colt, but if it's the standard 1911 profile, this light should fit as it is not specifically designed for any single model.
Super but it has the holter
did you mean holster?
Can I get one in Europe?
I ordered mine on Amazon, you might be able to find one there as well
Will your gun still be able to fit inside your holster?
Unfortunately, it does not fit in the same holster as before the light was installed :(
@@Motionshooter okay, thank you so much for your reply.
Can this fit on a 1911 Remington ??
this was designed to fit a standard 1911 profile. If yours follows that standard, this light should work great!
@@Motionshooter thank you so much I didn’t even realize you responded
