think of it as you would think of a horror movie. its the art of horror just in music form. there isn't necessarily supposed to be a message or hidden meaning, just telling a scary fictional story. in this case, its a story of a deranged serial killer who commits murder when he's blacked out on whatever drugs he's taking. also you're right about his voice sounding different. since he's sort of playing a character he changed the pitch and infliction in his voice to make himself sound that much crazier, just like you'd imagine a crazed killer to sound. he also was experimenting with that funny accent, which he claims wasn't intentional. but he soon used it to learn how to bend more words and make things rhyme that really shouldn't rhyme at all. this song is off of his 2009 album "relapse". it was his first album since getting sober in 2008. yes he wrote this while sober. the album maintains this dark/horror theme throughout (apart from songs like beautiful and deja vu). its personally my favorite eminem album because of the shear artistry and story telling, as well as beat selection (all produced by dr. are) and flows. truly a masterpiece that is widely misunderstood outside the eminem fan community due to its bizarre themes and sound. but i always revert back by telling people "you don't think horror films are weird right?" art is art and this is truly it.

There are 2 main reasons why you're hearing a different voice 1. This album specifically is different mainly because he enforced an accent over his pronunciation because he wanted to challenge himself even more to try new ways of rhyming words that usually don't rhyme.. 2. Tone : he revealed very recently that at one point his Tinnitus (ringing in the ear) became so bad that he couldn't hear his own voice properly while recording and had to push more on the 'mid-range' for it to pop over the music, which was almost unintentional but caused this difference, this was cured after a while and his voice in the records changed accordingly. Lastly, this album is basically a horrorcore rap, topics that are horror-movies inspired and predominantly psycho/serial killers as he's fascinated by that, some finding it offensive and I get it, but those are the same people who'd applaud the script if it was made a horror movie, so what's the difference? It's all art after all. Long comment I know, please excuse the errors, this was typed on my phone... And thank you if you read through! 💪

if you wanna hear more of his horror core songs i strongly recommend "buffalo bill" (where he portrays the character from silence of the lambs) and "stay wide awake"
I'm so glad people explained the timeline, history, and details of this style of Eminem. It's some of his best rhyming to date, and his storytelling is chilling and spot on in regards to the content. 🤙🏻
He sounds different because this is off his Relapse album and on most of the songs off that album he uses this different accent. A lot of people didn't like the accents. That's why in his song Not Afraid, Eminem says "let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was ehh, perhaps I ran them accents into the ground"
This is was our first taste of newly SOBER Eminem about two years after his o.d. Obviously this isn't the first time he's dramatized murder in a song, but it's safe to say this was a creative release for him. He wanted to experiment with a new demented persona along with a kind of vocal bending to rhyme new words in different ways. When he said "Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground..." on Not Afraid, this was what he was referring to. Most people apart from diehard fans rejected this sound almost immediately, but as the years have gone on more and more people appreciate this weird little chapter of his career. He did a song called Buffalo Bill as well, that would be a good follow up to this song, though most people are probably gonna say do "Stay Wide Awake" next, I love that song but it's not for everybody, you have to understand that this is purely performance art.
This is his 1st album post overdose. He said he literally had to teach himself to rap again. So hr used "accents" to help him bend words. Also, when he was flushing the drugs out, he couldnt sleep. So he spent alot of time staying up watching serial killer documentaries and thought of like 75% of the relapse album as a horror story. You should check out eminem-zues and walkthrough by grip
Hi Chris. Good reaction and was seriously laughing so much when you got spooked by his scream at the end. 🤣😂 As to the song Fack… you’re a grown man, so do what you want but it is pointless except to troll with complete debased crudity. Much love and respect to you and your family.
You were picking up on a different vocal side of em here. This was his Relapse era where he was using some accents as he was recovering from his overdose and healing. People seem to not like the accents much, but I find it iconic of the horror movie type vibe the entire Relapse album has. I’m sure I’m not alone on that one
This is one of my top albums from him hands down. When this album came out I didn’t stop listening to it for weeks. It’s still on my playlist. His whole tone, and accents made the album. I like dark music too so it was great.
It was said somewhere, not sure where, that he once said if he didn't become a rapper, there was a likely chance he could have ended up killing people. I think this is both just a horror story in music form, and also himself venting out some of the dark or crazy thoughts that may come through his head at times. Also ties in well with how slim shady was perceived as dark and crazy. Eminem used to do a lot of accents to help change the mood of a song or help bend rhymes. Music was a therapy for him in more ways than many of us likely understood. You could also wonder if this is a way of him reflecting on the carnage he left behind after destroying other artists on tracks. Fack is a hilarious song that is just super ridiculous. Just go into it with expecting raunchy material, and you will be fine 🤣. Keep up the good reactions!
Same Song and Dance from relapse is a masterpiece. Also this album is like a Horror album where many of the songs he plays as a different serial killer.
You mostly reacting to the old Eminem. And i like that, at my life, at age 35 i really grew up on Em'. From 99, back when nobody, (in europe atleast) had heard of him. Back when no body knew who em' was yet he was just the new white rapper. Lol (Ex the english, peace and love, Norway.
If I remember correctly, I heard or read that Eminem was fascinated with the psyche of serial killers so he wrote this song as a reflection of that. Love your reactions
So happy your son reccomended Em to you! Your journey from 1st hearing "Stan" to hearing this for the first time, it is truly a journey i wish i could do again now im older and understand more, i listen to Em daily and still find hidden messages in all his songs 🔥 ( stan )
Remember in "Not Afraid" when he said "In fact, let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was "ehh" Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground". And "3am" is from that "Relapse" CD and a little taste of that accent, you're not wrong that he sounds different. Also regarding the timeline - 2006 Proof death, 2009 Relapse first album after that and he's still in a dark place and trying to be entertaining, so I guess "3am" is a result of that.
Em was also so good with twisting words back then. Idk why people hate. Just trying to be different! It worked. It made millions and millions. Obviously it worked?!?! Stop the hate! I bet this record sold more then your favorite artist haha
You should do a reaction to Stay Wide awake off the same album. It’s not your headphones. This is off the relapse album; his comeback from his overdose/hiatus. His brain was still fixing itself. He did a lot nasal rapping and a lot of people hated it including Eminem. But this album is a sort of cult classic among his fans. It’s a horrorcore album. Brilliant, but very graphic. P.S. Dhamer had a mannequin. Eminem is one of the few that has referenced Jeffrey Dhamer multiple times throughout his career.
Haha, the comment battle between people saying you should react to "Fack" and those who almost beg you to not even try is hilarious 🤣 I only listened to it once, I was just curious what could be so bad about Em's song... and boy... I learned the lesson 🤣. I'm one of those who don't want you to hear this song but deep down I know that I would probably die laughing watching your reaction.
AT LAST & THANK YOU!👏One of my fav songs by Em - IT'S SOOOOO UNDERRATED - the rhyming schemes are off the scale! His lyrical ability is insane🔥This was Em's 'horrorcore' period. Whilst in recovery, he got into serial killer documentaries/films & inspired him to explore 'horrorcore' further in his music. CAN'T WAIT FOR 'FRAMED'!🥳 PS Well done for getting the Buffulo Bill line from 'The Silence Of The Lambs'👏 PPS Please DO NOT DO 'FACK'!!!!🙈
Bro this dude is quintessential boomer listening to rap lmao. But it's actually kind of....idk....endearing? He's like actually in to it, listening, trying to understand. Keep going, you got something real good going here man props!
DO NOT DO FACK!! As a long time supporter of your channel and lifetime fan of Em, for you personally I advise you not to do FACK although you’re free to do as you wish.
There are four reasons for this: 1. This is from Relapse (2009), which he wrote after he got clean but was still detoxing - the things he was on, it took a long time for his brain to start working properly again. At the beginning he did not sleep for three weeks straight, and he also said he had to regain motor skills, talking skills, relearn how to rap... 2. He watched a lot of serial killer documentaries (and probably horror movies too) to pass the time. 3. Most of the beats he got from Dre around this time felt "dark" to him, so he just tried to say evil stuff on it to match the mood of the beat. A lot of Relapse is fictional, though not all of it. 4. For this specific song: there are parts of his life he does not remember, because of the drugs - there are TV interviews which he does not remember at all, even when he rewatches them. So only the drug-induced amnesia is real in this, the rest is just a horror movie he wrote :) And yes, he sounds different - I think this is a different character, not Em, not Shady, not Marshall, just an unnamed serial killer character who has characteristics from a few real-life serial killers (e.g. the mannequin, I think) and movies. On most of Relapse, he was playing with accents like this - partly to make different characters, and partly to bend words and make more rhymes than ever before. Afterwards, he started disliking this album because of the accents, he feels like he overdid it. The sequel, Framed, is on Revival (2017). FACK is just a very stupid sexual joke. He was definitely very high when he wrote it (it's an original on Curtain Call: The Hits (2005)). It's not like this, which is a well-written horror movie, and not like Kim, which is difficult to listen to but very powerful - I like 3 a.m. and I "like" Kim, too. I don't like FACK... people just like to see reactions to it, cause it's so stupid. Or I guess it could match some people's sense of humor... :D
Basically whilst he was in rehab and recovering he watched lots of horror movies and true crime documentaries which inspired a lot of the Relapse album. Also whilst in rehab he had to reteach himself how to rap and he experimented with accents in this album in particular.
Beyerdynamic DT770 or DT990, it is the best investment I have done when it comes to sound. I use both but the 990 is my main. Also, really like your reactions! Thank you for the content
@@uncle_rick333 it’s a great song bro, and yes the flow and Rhyme schemes go crazy. But in my opinion there isn’t a single other song including fack we could have him listen to that would scare him off more. He Ain’t ready for the Umbrella man
For sure a Slim Shady track. But Buffalo Bill is amazing as well. The whole Relapse album was horror themed for the most part. Note this was also his "return" album after he went overdosed and went through rehab. So the track fits
Just think Steven King in music form. Most of the album is Eminem telling horror stories. The genre of rap is Horrorcore. He does a great job of telling extremely graphic stories which are different than watching a movie or reading a book. But, in the end, it has the same effect. Oh, this was right after rehab when he apparently got obsessed with real-life serial killers.
You gotta check out Dave, he is a rapper from the united kingdom known for his lyrics and vocabulary. ”Lesley” is a great song with very good storytelling by Dave
THIS SHIT WON A GRAMMY FOR A REASON SO OUTTA THE BOX SO OUTTA THE ORDINARY TRULY THE GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME! The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever✍🏽🐐🔥✨🎯💯(And this is a conceptual album EM is playing a serial killer mixed with Slim Shady the entire album just like when u watch a movie it’s not reality and Please React to Eminem “Framed” Music Video which is the sequel to 3 A.M.)
This is off Eminem's album Relapse. The entire album has a serial killer style, as most songs are horrorcore. At the time he was fascinated with serial killer documentaries. The whole album is full of him rapping in different accents to make words rhyme that normally wouldn't. In his later music he would reflect back and say he hated the accents and would throw this album in the trash, however this album is still incredibly popular garnering millions of streams still til this day 10+ years later.
This was back in 2009 when he was fresh out of rehab and some of these songs he actually wrote while he was going through it teaching himself to rap again without the drugs. For whatever reason he just really got on a serial killer kick for this album. FACK is a song EM wrote when he was high one day and he found the word and he thought the meaning was hilarious so he just made a joke song about it and that’s where it came from. If you want to see if you’re interested in hearing the song then google the definition of FACK with safe search on so you don’t get any images popping up and surprising you.
I suppose you could find some further meaning behind this song 3 ways: 1. Most likely it's a horror core song. That's just the way it is. It's not for everyone but it's a thing. 2. It's about him breaking out of rehab and unleashing the anger and pain he was going through during his drug rehabilitation. Or 3. It's the beginning of the internal struggle of eminem/marshall mathers and slim shady the battle of good and evil he seemingly lapses in and out of conscience between the 2 and they both have polar opposite opinions and values.
If you've ever tried to rap this it is just so fun for some reason the way the words are put together just makes sense. I'll even pick up the accent because it's essential for some rhymes and the way it flows.
Okay, I'm here to help you explore genres that you have yet to react to. I really enjoy your reviews and with that being said, try out Hellyeah "Hush" and "Moth".....can't wait....
I love when people discover Eminem :D So much more to discover, he has HUGE catalog. When you will finally listen to every album - you will understand B-) Very nice reaction video! Came here from When im gone one! Looking forward to see more stuff
Wasn't buffalo bill the killer in silence of the lambs?? He has a song off the same album think it was a bonus track called buffalo bill, highly recommended after this one
Ah yes, Relapse. What a great work by a great artist. He doesn't like the album himself but it turned to a classic over the years. And you're right he does sound different, he was trying different types of accents, which many people didn't really like. But it was fun.
Thank you so much for the shout out Man, appreciate it 🥰 and for taking the time to react to this song, loved it , hope you enjoyed it=) have a great day.
OMG lovin' this phase of Em and loving the fact that you're now stepping in the dark zone of Slim Shady lol You're gonna be traumatized. You'll love it though
You will hear this “different vocals” on Relapse-album. It’s only on that album he use this voice a few others song around that time. Just before his rehab if I remember correctly
I think the point of song recommendations and people agreeing and disagreeing on songs is to see all sides of em. He has many song that most people don’t like, I appreciate them all. To me the song fack is absolutely hilarious. This song 3am is one of my favorites, has been since it came out.
He did a whole horror story promo for the Relapse album. They did a web game website were you entered the fictional rehab called Popsomp Hills you see in the video, you could click around and find clues in different rooms and more stuff was unlocked before the album release date. He returned as Slim Shady in a more darker way on this album, portrayed as a serial killer. I also like how the last words on Encore was ''See you in hell, f***ers'' and the story on Relapse was his road through hell with his drug addiction and overdose. He later continued this story line from 3 a.m. in the music video to the song Framed from Revival.
about the voice sound. he used to be really big into accents so hes basically just doing a certain accent the whole song. he doesnt do it to much recently
As everyone has told you he was using accents this whole album. As he says in his song Not Afraid, “Encore I was on drugs, Relapse I was flushin em out.”
Big lurch - I did it to you A Texas rapper in 2002 took pcp and blacked out and then killed and canabalized his roommate and the judge used this song against him in court and still in prison today..... crazy song
This phase of EM should show everyone why people don’t make it through rehab. I say that in jest but it’s really no joke. If you have the choice (from someone that knows / truly understands the evil / pain / sacrifice / ultimate liberation that is rehab) don’t start or stop while you have a life to save. For most, quitting heavy drugs is the hardest battle they will ever face / endure and it’s never really “won” as you have to fight it off for the rest of your life. Yes, I know I used conflicting descriptions but that is the very nature of addiction / rehab. EM is extremely lucky to have found an outlet that was also a passion. Had it been any different there is a 99% chance he wouldn’t be with us today. (For the amount he was taking)
Totally off topic literally begging you please give DMX a chance review some of his music I love Eminem huge fan born and raised in Detroit myself. also love NF obviously being from Michigan but I cannot reiterate enough how much you are missing out on a wonderful artist DMX has everything from gospel type rap to storytelling to addiction to struggle from being in foster care and raised in the system from a child as well as being in the system as an adult incarcerated.the backstory of this man is so deep it could be the ocean one of the greatest to ever do it in the hip hop industry R.I.P Earl Simmons AKA DMX.....
This is what period Em was referring to on Not Afraid when he said 'Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground Relax, I ain't goin' back to that now All I'm tryna say is get back, click-clack, blaow'. The relapse album was full of songs where he would put on these strange accents allowing him to bend the words differently to rhyme different sounds. Some bangers came out from there but it was a strange time for Em.
Yes the genre is called Horror core and he killed it pun intended no matter what type of rap he does he is a lyrical genius and he really sucks you in with his storytelling and emotion
The whole album hes doing accents lol. He had just gotten clean. He cringes looking back at this era lol. He was watching a lot of serial killer stuff. This was around when dexter was popular too
This is horrorcore rap and it was created because Eminem loves horror movies such as silence of the lambs and the “She puts the lotion in the bucket He puts the lotion on the skin Or else it gets the hose again” line is a nod to Hannibal Lecter’s character
Eminem's voice has changed and developed quite a lot throughout his career, growing darker with the years. This song is the hit-single from his Relapse album released in 2009, which basically was around the time his voice started to change little by little :)
"she puts the lotion on the skin or she gets the hose again." - Quote from The Silence of the Lambs Serial killers. In Em's case he is a Rap Serial Killer... ;) Well identified!
There's much better EM songs people can recommend than they have been lately. Like Beautiful Pain for one. I would love for you to do that one. You would love it.
Oh Larry's in for it on this one. I'm commenting liking, everything before his intro is done. Hope ya enjoyed ETA his vocals were different on almost all of this album. He mixed in a bunch of weird accents. Your headphones are straight
Em is a fan of serial killers, like ted bundy and Dahmer, the line "kissing the naked maniquin man again" is what he did, you can see it in the netflix serie
For a rap song to cover I recommend Regular and Complex by Flatbush Zombie's. They're an amazing group of rappers from New York with a lot of meaning behind their music. I would also recommend Your Favorite Rap Song by them as well. It's a 13 minute sing but the last 6 minutes are voicemails from fans you could skip it wanted. It's really cool to hear how much them and their music mean to their fans, with some hate mail thrown in lol
Backstory on this Album - Relapse. His first album after nearly dying from and overdose, during his recovery he spent alot of time watching serial killer documentaries. Which is why alot of these songs are dark. What hes portraying is basically he's a serial killer of the music industry, the crazy psychopath that will kill you (lyrically) even if you didnt deserve it. The accent he said he doesn't even know why he kept doing that accent but it was attempted to bend words you normally couldn't. Alot of people dissed this album because of the accents, I personally think its some of his greatest work. My info... over a multitude of different Em interviews. I'm a STAN 🙏😂
This is from the Relapse album my favorite album actually it’s a horror album! Has some pretty creepy stuff in it! He put his mind in the mind of a serial killer! And believe it or not Beautiful is on the album!
Kendrick Lamar - How much a dollar cost, he is an incredible writer who won a Pulitzer for his work and is considered one of the modern greats. You will love what he is saying i have no doubt
Background- Eminem was heavy on drugs for this album aka the album is called “relapse” and Eminem is a fan of horror movies so it’s just his way of creating horror art in music form.. he actually mentions that he hates this album a lot.. because he was heavy on drugs and used to many accents. It’s definitely a slim shady album, ANDDD you should listen to the intro that leads into this song as it’s not included in the music video but basically he goes to see his doctor for being sober and his doctor turns into Satan and tells him he needs more pills and Eminem freaks out and wakes up at 3 am in the morning
@@a_lil_bit_shady you right.. I’m wrong.. I’ve been an Eminem fan since I was 5.. and now I feel dumb. I guess I just always assumed since the album was called relapse and cover is made of pills he was on drugs
So this is from the relapse album. The first album he released after Proof died. He liked how the brains for serial killers worked so most of the album is him trying to embody the mind of a serial killer. As for the accent, he got bored with normal rap and wanted to try something new. Using accents to twist and contort words to make them rhyme when traditionally they wouldn’t. IMO it was done extremely well and is wild that he thinks of these things
Please try listening to “Stay wide awake” off his relapse album! He does this type of accent rap that goes even more hardcore!!!! Imma be waiting for it !!!

This is his horrorcore rap

Alter “emo” slim shady
He said in an interview that when he was in rehab he watched tons of horror movies which inspired not only this song, but the entire relapse album

Good and accurate comment. Stay Wide Awake is so cool to breakdown, watched Stevie Knight break it down and it was a blast.

(Ex the english, peace and love, Norway.
3Am is one of my favourite songs by Eminem. I always have it blasting in my car 😂
It’s a classic album with Overdosing levels of inspired creativity. Insane lyricism and amazing Dr dre beats. My fav em album after Eminem show
Have to wish you a blessed birthday. Thanks for everything. You've given me more than you'll ever know. Much love and hugs to you and your family🤗
Thanks so much Patti! You are always such a wonderful breath of fresh air.
@@larryshair You are truly a blessing!
Almost this entire album is meant to be shock value and amazing rhyme schemes.
CAN'T WAIT FOR 'FRAMED'!🥳
PS Well done for getting the Buffulo Bill line from 'The Silence Of The Lambs'👏
PPS Please DO NOT DO 'FACK'!!!!🙈
Bro this dude is quintessential boomer listening to rap lmao. But it's actually kind of....idk....endearing? He's like actually in to it, listening, trying to understand. Keep going, you got something real good going here man props!
Thanks so much!
@@larryshair oh wow... Thanks for the reply! That's rare, especially after like the first 6 hrs after a vid drops. You're an awesome creator dude.
He didn’t write fack lol
what a song, what a classic creative album relapse is. enjoy your reactions, great show as always respect from over here in Ireland.
Mannn, you gotta do “stay wide awake”, in my opinion its his most lyrically skilled songs!!!
Don’t fall for this Larry
@@Ludlose bro listen to the rhyme pattern, that song is stupid technical. Graphic yes but skilled as fuck
@@uncle_rick333 it’s a great song bro, and yes the flow and Rhyme schemes go crazy. But in my opinion there isn’t a single other song including fack we could have him listen to that would scare him off more. He Ain’t ready for the Umbrella man
@@Ludlose Yeah I love horrorcore Em but I pray nobody ask for Larry to react to Insane that song is even worse than Stay wide awake 😅
@@cathy2615 you know, sometimes I’m lucky enough to go months or even years without thinking about Marshall Felching with his stepdad. You are right.
For sure a Slim Shady track. But Buffalo Bill is amazing as well. The whole Relapse album was horror themed for the most part.
Note this was also his "return" album after he went overdosed and went through rehab. So the track fits
Because you Liked killshot.. The diss on MGK, You should react to Quitter.. Even better diss 😊 much love ❤️
In order, “Quiter” and then “Girls”.
Those 2 back to back as they are related.
Would only work if he were familiar with Hit em up
Hey man i dont know if you have heard the song i could not find a reaction of it anyway but id love too see you react to sucidal thoughts by biggie
Those speakers on your headset sound clear! Yes, I’m interested in a review lol
Love the video as always, hate the fact that I have to wait 3 days for next one :(
Greetings from Germany ✌🏻
You need to react to Without Me. Definitely one of his funniest. But the lyricism is on point
STAY WIDE AWAKE is a crazy one to do. THE FLOW IS ONE OF A KIND!
But they should of had u do Framed 1st. Even though Tech 3am came out 1st, Framed is considered like a Prequel by many
Framed is a work of art. Love it can't wait for your reaction to that one😂
Em is so amazing with telling stories no one else can do it like him and the visuals it’s crazy! The way he used words around corner was insane!
If you've ever tried to rap this it is just so fun for some reason the way the words are put together just makes sense. I'll even pick up the accent because it's essential for some rhymes and the way it flows.
you really should react more to em. its always nice watching your em reactions :)
part 2 to this is Eminem - Framed
Please do Venom by Eminem!! The lyrics and the way he writes is mind blowing!!!
Can we get the rock n roll hall of fame induction reaction?
Ah yes, Relapse. What a great work by a great artist. He doesn't like the album himself but it turned to a classic over the years.
And you're right he does sound different, he was trying different types of accents, which many people didn't really like. But it was fun.
Thank you so much for the shout out Man, appreciate it 🥰 and for taking the time to react to this song, loved it , hope you enjoyed it=) have a great day.
Fun suggestion! Framed was good, too, but was blocked. Hoping it gets released in the next 30 days
That okay,,as long as you got to hear it, u know!?, did you connect the two tho? After hearing Framed??
The villan in silence of the lambs is Buffalo Bill based of real killer Ed Geins. He turned female corpses into furniture.
Big lurch - I did it to you
A Texas rapper in 2002 took pcp and blacked out and then killed and canabalized his roommate and the judge used this song against him in court and still in prison today.....
This is what period Em was referring to on Not Afraid when he said 'Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground
Relax, I ain't goin' back to that now
All I'm tryna say is get back, click-clack, blaow'. The relapse album was full of songs where he would put on these strange accents allowing him to bend the words differently to rhyme different sounds. Some bangers came out from there but it was a strange time for Em.
Lyrically impressive. This is off the album with the accents he referred to in “not afraid”.
Yes the genre is called Horror core and he killed it pun intended no matter what type of rap he does he is a lyrical genius and he really sucks you in with his storytelling and emotion
to fit the theme of this song would love to see you react to am i a psycho by hopsin , tech n9ne, and BOB
Framed is good, but stay wide awake is lyrically mesmerizing.
Yas! The rhyme schemes are INSANELY good if he does it he needs to do it with the coloured lyrics
The mannequin is a reference to jeffrey dahmer. He references a lot of serial killers in this song, as well as silence of the lambs
The whole album hes doing accents lol. He had just gotten clean. He cringes looking back at this era lol. He was watching a lot of serial killer stuff. This was around when dexter was popular too
This is horrorcore rap and it was created because Eminem loves horror movies such as silence of the lambs and the “She puts the lotion in the bucket
He puts the lotion on the skin
Or else it gets the hose again” line is a nod to Hannibal Lecter’s character
Eminem's voice has changed and developed quite a lot throughout his career, growing darker with the years. This song is the hit-single from his Relapse album released in 2009, which basically was around the time his voice started to change little by little :)
"she puts the lotion on the skin or she gets the hose again." - Quote from The Silence of the Lambs
Serial killers. In Em's case he is a Rap Serial Killer... ;)
Well identified!
There's much better EM songs people can recommend than they have been lately. Like Beautiful Pain for one. I would love for you to do that one. You would love it.
Oh Larry's in for it on this one. I'm commenting liking, everything before his intro is done.
Hope ya enjoyed
ETA his vocals were different on almost all of this album. He mixed in a bunch of weird accents. Your headphones are straight
Stay Wide Awake is a must by Em! It's also on this album so prepare yourself lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The different tone is because this is when he was using accents to enhance another way to bend and twist words to make them rhyme
im pretty sure this is just one of those slim shady songs. since it is pretty old. some on drugs type song.
Eminem in the Rock and roll hall of fame well deserved 👏
He’s got a whole effin album like this
YES. FINALLY!!!!! now follow up with Framed?!? 😃🙏♥️
STAY WIDE AWAKE is awesome. Marginally less crazy. The rhyme schemes are amazing!
One of my favorite Em tracks of all time!
Yes 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
You need to follow this up with Framed. It’s a sequel to this song in a lot of ways. It’s another banger from Revival
Great reaction!!!!
He was sober while recording Relapse
He got sober before
@@Dylan___R I stand corrected
@@a_lil_bit_shady you right.. I’m wrong.. I’ve been an Eminem fan since I was 5.. and now I feel dumb. I guess I just always assumed since the album was called relapse and cover is made of pills he was on drugs
Dude!! 14k seen this now,, you're welcome 😁 hehe, Love, Beatzbypeetz 😅
Have you done hailie's song?
Please try listening to “Stay wide awake” off his relapse album! He does this type of accent rap that goes even more hardcore!!!! Imma be waiting for it !!!
