This was the first em album I ever heard. I was like 10 or 11 and I found this shit on MySpace lmaooo. I may be biased but this album is so fuckin goood
This is off of the Relapse album. it's polarizing due to the accents one some of the songs and the horrorcore theme.
I didn't like it at first because of but it grew on me a lot and now it's one of my favorites.
The Dr. Dre production and EM's flows on it are ridiculous.

Definitely check out more of Relapse (with Refill, essentially a deluxe version). “Stay Wide Awake” and “Underground” both sound so amazing with flows, rhyme schemes, and beats. “My Darling” is another one of Eminem’s heavy storytelling masterpieces. “Insane” is insane…I feel it’s what you’d get if “Brain Damage” and “Fack” had a musical baby. 😂 “Buffalo Bill” is kind of a serial killer bop. LOL. “Music Box” is like a creepy/haunted rap lullaby. “Beautiful” is poignant. It’s really a fascinating album.

like the accents or not there will never be another relapse esc album in music history the creativity from this album was once in an eon although i do think TDOSS is infinitely better
Relapse just has a different vibe. It was written after he went through rehab and I think he was relearning to rap, but his flows and rhyme schemes say otherwise. He just was willing to be different on this album and I guess felt like he had nothing to lose. He had been away from the game and almost died, why not try something different?

I still content Relapse was a bad timing album. It was after his hiatus and he came out on this when the rap world moved away from goofy for a bit. I think if he came out with Recovery FIRST then came out with relpase it would've been better recieved as a concept album.
