I can a lot of meat. One of the easiest recipes I have is to put a pint of chicken, 2 cups of water, a cup of rice and a dash of salt in the instant pot. Eugene likes to add half a stick of margarine. I cubed and canned a Boston Butt yesterday. One pint didn't seal so I'm going to improvise your beef, onion and rice into my crock pot for supper today. Thanks for the recipes.
@lulaporter6080 what a great way to use that up!! We canned a ton of chicken earlier this year, I need to can some more kinds of meat though so we have easy things to.eat on busy nights. What's your secret to instant pot rice? I can never get it to turn out right.
@@theworkfromhomesteader I'm not the person you replied to, but I've had great luck with rice at 8 minutes on high pressure with a 10 minute natural release before I release the rest of the pressure manually. I hope that helps if you're still looking for a solid method. I'm terrible with rice on the stove, but it's come out perfectly every time in the Instant Pot with that method. *Also, I forgot to say that I use a 1:1 ratio of rice to water.
I made the beefy, onion and rice for my family the other day. They LOVED it so much. Thank you for such an easy and delicious recipe.
@melissalee3040 yay! I'm so glad to hear that! ❤️❤️
