What was that purple jersey thinking at 2:08? Literally everyone in the pack is there; no reason to burst so much energy so early in the race. And if he thought he was boxed in, all he needed to do was to do enough to get out, not go ham lol.
Every individual race is different. The weather here was poor and the pace started at was slow. After about 200m, the runner knew it wouldn't be a race for time, but one for strategy.
i dont believe he will last long. i know a guy who used to train a lot since he was very young and could run pretty fast but when he grew up , although he kept training, his performances suddenly decreased because he had trained too much before .
Yeah, definitely. Your one anecdote definitely trumps the fact that Gjert has produced 3 world class runners and they're performances have been consistent for a long time.
ab cd: Saying that you knew a guy who was really good and then wasn't, was like me saying I once had a friend who was smarter than everyone else and then he stopped doing well in school or that I had a friend who was the best basketball player in his age group, but then he stopped getting better. You can't take in absolutes. Its possible he could end up like your friend, but there is no certainty.
Meshar Rogers weather conditions out in that open. And the fact that running in the wind makes you lose your breath. Literally, listen to him speak at the end.
Francis Wachiuri he lost against number 1, 2 and 3 from the world championship last year. Of those three two where from Kenya and the last one is his older brother. As it turns out around 45 middle and long distance runners from Kenya have tested positive for doping the last two years, three within the last 14 days. Let's put it this way, I don't trust a supertime from a runner from that country anymore.
Who else noticed the magnificent scenery surrounding the venue? Just beautiful! And yes the weather was crazy!
He turned off the jets and started celebrating in the last 50m and still produced a 52.7 sec last lap lol....
And considering the awful head wind at the back straight.
epic scenery surrounding this track.
Very well done tactically, stayed out of the wind as long as possible
I was blown away by this race.

I know, people in Scotland have the sam e problem.
This was mad slow wtf 4:03?

Christopher Smith true you have a point but they could at least run sub 4:00 since this is pro lol
Meshar Rogers its a championship, the only thing that matters is to win not how fast they run.
Did you see the wind? You try running in that weather.
The video clearly shows the wind is killing them the entire length of one of the straights.
Slower than Kenyan high school kids
he's ran 3:31 for 1500 and is the European champion
Rhys Jones Kenya isn’t in Europe...
Rhys Jones check u20 championship results
@@Jadon1443 bet he lost to a Kenyan too in that one
