You must cut the branches within a week after the leaves fall.Therefore, the leaves are forcibly dropped.

Your maple group is inspiring. Im trying to make one with koto hime maples.
i love kotohimes. I've been messing with them for a couple years now
@@DarthMasiah I got one 3 years ago and found his videos and figured it would be the perfect tree to make one.
Is it true the root from cuttings? I've let my koto hime grow long for the last couple years to take a bunch of cuttings this spring.

i took 5 cuttings in 2019, and they look great now. I've got a repot video of one of the cuttings in my darths bonsai playlist. i took about 6" cuttings in june and by fall they were well rooted with a good circular root base. i did wait till the buds started moving in spring before repotting them for the 1st time and wiring some shape into them.

木造りをするため葉刈りすると秋の紅葉が楽しめないのかな？
紅葉するかしないかは別として、棚場に落ちた葉を後で片付けたりすれば紅葉を楽しむ事も出来ますよ。
色々な考え方あるので正確には解りませんが、葉を落としても自然に落ちるの待ってもさほど違いはないような気もするので・・・・・・。
ただ、自然に落ちた後に剪定する時は気を付けたほうが良いと思います。
遅すぎると水吹いて枝枯れますので。
自分が楽しめる盆栽の育て方で良いと思いますよ。
