By their logic, increased inflation is a tax rise, so we had 10p tax rise, followed by a 5p tax cut. Of course, the reality is that as they increased VAT from 17.5% to 20% (just after it had gone up from 15% to reduce pressure during the financial crash), everything has been a couple of % more than it could have been for the last 13 years! Time was, Jonathan Pie was a source of satirical comedy based on UK politics... These days, he's actually one of the more reliable sources of news - and his viewpoint hasn't changed - UK politics has just moved so far into "bat**** crazy" territory that his comedy no longer makes me laugh. He speaks such truths, that it just makes me dispair at the mainstream media instead. :(
How about the education secretary crying, yes! Actually crying as Sunak spoke about his parents. What would you say if your boss brought their partner to work for a speech to say they’re very good at their job! Insane.
I'd never heard the phrase "15 minute city" until now, and despite Jonathan's advice, I Googled it anyway... And honestly, I don’t see the problem. I'm no city planner, so there are probably plenty of complications that wouldn’t occur to me, but in theory, a city that has all the necessary amenities within a 15 minute walk seems pretty convenient.
That’s how the country used to be when people didn’t know wtf was going on…it’s a crap idea by crap people… Please desist swallowing their crap, it’ll make you sick.
See your mistake there is to actually read the real definition of a 15 minute city and not the far right fever dream version that no-one has ever presented as reality.
Jonathan pie is a character that has been created for satire, will Tom develop his point of view and will Pie come to a final conclusion, will Pie snap? Rushi sunak (and most PMs) are so far removed from the small details of peoples lives, its like he sees people as a uniform lump or large groups of the same thing.
Anybody here think the easing off of profanities from Jonathan actually improves his rants? That way, it can be regarded as 'family viewing' and reach a wider audience, which is no bad thing...
So Braverman is considered "family friendly" but Pie throwing a few rightful F-bombs throws you off? That's literally form over substance and a major part of the problem in public discourse.
The thing with profanities is...they lose their power to shock, if they're overused anyway. There's also the danger of making you look, like you're just using them as 'filler words', because you don't have a well rounded vocabulary. Or that you don't have sufficient self control, to keep your behavior and language in check, when in public. So it's a fine line to walk. I by no means mean, that words like 'fuck' should never, ever be used in public discussion. But if you want people to actually take note, when you're using them, you have to refrain from overusing them.
BBC is the State Broadcaster run by the Establishment for the Establishment. But they're still an improvement on the billionaire non-dom owned media alternatives.
''Who wants to go to Bradford anyway?'' is ridiculous ...If they'd said Doncaster, I'd have understood. Every time I drove through Doncaster it was foggy... I suspect it is Yorkshire's version of Brigadoon..emerges from the mist once every 100 years.

Thanks pie as bad as it is you always make me smile and that doesn't happen much the lunatics have definitely taken over the asylum !!!
.....I did see it....and I wish I hadn`t. Thanks Mr P, as usual....spot on.
Sunaks speech was just as cringeworthy and rage inducing as you'd expect
They got his lovely billionaire tax crook wife to give him a gushing 5 minute intro about how much of a wonderful guy he really is, which was nice i suppose
Now i have a migraine......what an aboslute trainwreck, pun not intended
I just wish an opposition party would put Pie's videos on TV on repeat during the election campaigns.
Eloquently executed yet again Jon. 🙌🏻
Spot on, as always.
*We need you to run for office, Jonathan*
As Johnathan Pie or Tom Walker?
Well, if Michael Green can be our Secretary of Defence, why not Jonathan Pie for PM
Can you imagine how many times he'd be suspended from the House for not following the politeness rules... he'd be more likely to call them a "f****ing liar" than follow all the rules about being (super) polite. :)
Actually, I'd love to see that.
@@rufus1346yes
@BFalconUK the UK parlament has rules on politeness? from all I've seen of them it looks more like a 6th grade class made an unsupervised debate club than a group of sane minded adults discussing the future and direction of a nation.
The voice of reason, shine on brother 🏴
Always so impressed by how you get through these without tripping over your words!!
I wonder how many takes he erm... takes.
Another bang on sum up from Pie 👍
Wonderful from Pie once again, especially on the fake 15 minute cities madness.
the leftist waterfall
1. it’s not real
2. it is real but don’t worry it’s not happening
3. it’s real and its a good thing
15 minute cities have been routinely praised and the idea has already taken hold in oxfordshire. Let’s see how long it takes before Pie is saying how great a 15 minute city is lol
@@Flame1500 What makes you think I'm a leftist?
@@JodiDunne-ij6mf The best conclusions in life are the ones we jump to.
You're the one who's not looked in to it.
What exactly do you call the LTN's planned for Oxford then where you get 100 passes to leave your zone? How many so-called conspiracy theories have turned out to be conspiracy fact? Most of them.
Wow!! This is so accurate, especially the Braverman stuff! It frightens me that he's talking about things that actually happened at that conference, not talking about a novel, set in a dystopian society, written by a successor to Phillip K Dick
Thank you for your support. We have descended into a totalitarian society despite being constantly told we live in a democracy.
Such a shame that those Mancunian landlords (pubs) refused to serve the partying Tories.
JP love you in a manly way. Giving those in charge the facts right through their sh*te spounting mouths. Please don’t get silenced
That's a very strange way to say you love Pie's content. A little unsure of our sexuality, are we, perchance?
I love Pie in an unashamedly super gay way
I’m in Prague. The Czechs just started policing their border with Slovakia because of excessive migration. Turns out it is possible to control your borders and be an EU member state!
Hell, you'd imagine an island would have an easy time about it.
exactly this ..
Even our prime minister didn't know. It was one of David Cameron's demands that he took to Brussels before the referendum. Brussels basically said, "but you already have that. Have none of you read the treaties?"
Neil Oliver of GB News is a legend.
He has the balls to tell the truth abiut the W.E.F.
You can visit high class escorts in the buildings behind him.
I have always preferred the Cortina myself - bigger engine.
Quite fitting, given what he's reporting on. At least an escort won't f u up the a unless you specifically request it 😆
@@LancasterHermitCrafter They will. If you try to stay for two days.
I bet they've had a busy week ! 😉
How would you know?
Time was, Jonathan Pie was a source of satirical comedy based on UK politics...
These days, he's actually one of the more reliable sources of news - and his viewpoint hasn't changed - UK politics has just moved so far into "bat**** crazy" territory that his comedy no longer makes me laugh. He speaks such truths, that it just makes me dispair at the mainstream media instead. :(
How about the education secretary crying, yes! Actually crying as Sunak spoke about his parents. What would you say if your boss brought their partner to work for a speech to say they’re very good at their job! Insane.
A refreshing shot of truth.
Sad that we don't even expect it anymore from our government.
Listened to a few of his podcasts on a drive to Wales, brilliant stuff.
Always better to travel in hope...
Sadly this is no longer comedy. It breaks my heart.
He needs to be on prime time BBC to start reaching the people who need to see this.
Hope Jonathan has fun at the Labour Party conference.
Can't wait to see his video's once Labour take over next year.
They won't change much
Seeing through the LIES! Keep it up Jonathan.
Well said this government is absolutely clueless sooner they are out the better but unfortunately the damage had been done years ago
this couldn't be more accurate and I couldn' be more sad that it is. Keep them coming Jonathan
Thank you. This is so like the conversation I had with my Dad in the car this morning. Keep it coming. 👌
This is going to be interesting 😂
Spot on as always.
So good. A voice of sanity and wit. Thank you 💗😬
Spot on Jonathan, as usual.👍🏽👍
Jonathan Pie, brilliant compilation, keep going. Thank you.
This whole country is so broken. I don't even know what to say any more. 😥😥
Pie has genuinely taught me more about politics than my A-Level
Spot on mr Jonathon . As always
It would be. But right wingers think it's a plot for council control of everything
Wait until the WEF conspiracy theorist nutjobs show up! 😂
That’s how the country used to be when people didn’t know wtf was going on…it’s a crap idea by crap people…
Please desist swallowing their crap, it’ll make you sick.
See your mistake there is to actually read the real definition of a 15 minute city and not the far right fever dream version that no-one has ever presented as reality.
@@MichaelGGarry That’s cause, thankfully, it never happens. Like I said, crap ideas…
I really hope politicians watch JP and know that he sees them for what they are.
He needs to go on Question Time.
Conservatives/Republicans...what's the difference!😢
guns, abortion and christianity
Where's Matthew Hopkins when you need him 🏴✌️ shine on voice of reason
I wish he'd be elected to Parliament.
Spot on as usual
A great summation. WHY OH WHY can't the BBC be as honest
