Any camera in the hands of Vuh is the best camera ever tbh 🐐
That’s all you brother 🤎
Another fire video, as someone super attracted to the highly mechanical and analogue style of cameras it's not often I see a battery SLR that peaks my interest, but this is one pretty looking camera that still comes with that tactile feel, seems to be the best of both worlds ❤
90's SLR's never miss 🙏🏼
my personal favorite is the Minolta A-9. highly underrated even amongst Canon and Nikon
Canon EOS 1n is my beasty for the special occassions though I've got a bunch of EOS 300's that I borrow to people who want to get into film photography all the time.
I have the Minolta a7 and love it!
A difference between the different lens versions is that one can be used with Automatic aperture, whereas the other one cannot. With Automatic aperture you can also get Program mode, where both the shutter and aperture are set automatically. That is why that version is more expensive.
Your growth is so amazing. I was so happy when your channel popped up on my UA-cam feed in 2020. You’re one of the most influential photographers of our current time. You will be in photo books in the future.
Hey I’m not sure if you have it up just is there a tutorial video for how you color a grade your UA-cam videos and camera settings? I love the look and always wondered how it looks so balanced and buttery
Beautiful photos🥰 I swear your videos always put me in a good mood❤
Crazy that you posted this today. I was literally just looking at this camera online yesterday debating if I should buy it or not, and then you post this. This video to me is a sign that I should buy it.
Stunning and fun.. thank you💜
Finally, some more film content from Vuh ❤🎞️
Congratulations! I bought mine in 1994, and was instantly hooked. I still have it and it works like the 1st day. Agree, great shutter sound.
Later on I bought the Contax G2. Fantastic rangefinder style. Of course great Zeiss lenses. Don't know what they go for now, but they are slick and easier to carry around for those momenrs when you don't want to have the big clunky SLR with you. Look it up if you don't know about them.
Anyway, cool video, Thanks!
I'm not much into film photography, but I always enjoy the color grades of these videos. Good stuff!!
Honestly the newer; late film era cameras are so slept on. Theres such a clean look from something that doesnt have light leaks and proper exposure tools built in. I have a later Canon eos 650 and its so good honestly, and the best part is it takes EF lenses and theyre pretty cheap. I bought mine for like 20 bucks shipped. Dope video Vuh 👍
Gotta try it out, love the vids like always 🔥
The photos are amazing as always but this shot 2:35 was INSANE composition and sound design were crazy
Do you think he use suction cup thing ?
Awesome video as always 🙏🏼 Makes me want to start shooting film again.
Incredible video again, so inspiring to follow your channel🌟
Bruh, so GOOD 😭😭 the goat back at it again blessing our sub box
Straight killing it as always!
Check out the 85mm for that mount... One of my all-time favorite lenses! I have the Contax G2 w/ 28, 45, and 90. Fun little rangefinder style camera with stupidly sharp lenses. The 90 is possibly the sharpest lens I have ever used... Definitely sharper than my Hasselblad and Mamiya lenses.
Make sure to get some adapters to run those new Zeiss lenses on your video camera options. They are fantastic for video!
Hey man! Came late to this vid but I'm glad you found this camera! I bought one recently and I think it's incredible, I fell in love with it immediately. I just wanted to add a quick tip that might help you out. You can customize the information in the viewfinder to whatever you need and want, you can even turn it off completely! You'd have to read the manual and use the custom functions on the left (CF). Its easy to figure out and I highly recommend it. Anyways, keep doing your thing man. Incredible content as always!
Another day, another absolute banger🔥
Great camera. Great photographer. Great storyteller. Great video 🔥🔥
Thank you for this video, I will be purchasing one to try out for sure, never shot film so I’m excited to try something new 🤝🏼
You made a great choice, Vuhlandes! Back in the day, I absolutely lusted after this camera and I still do today.
The contax Rx is a super under-rated 35mm. I’ve had greet success with it and man that 28mm lens and 50 combo is insane and the lens are super sharp!! But unfortunately both times I used the contax were not good . The glass is amazing and I believe if you find a good mint one without breaking the bank! I highly recommend the camera !
Damn sorry to hear that. Maybe third times the charm? 😜
@@vuhlandes stop 😂I’m glad you brought this camera to light cause their isn’t much love or light onto this camera. Honestly that 28mm lens is perfect! And then the sound of the shutter! I mean I may not have the RX but I picked up the Contax N1 😎
Always loved that laser-gun-with-silencer-esque sound
The RX shutter produces one of the most satisfying sounds of any I’ve used. The RX along with the Aria was a favored combo for travel. The RXII was a downgrade in my opinion; removing the focus confirmation that I found very useful.
BTW, the squeak sound, if I’m hearing it correctly, of your RX shutter is not normal. And is a common issue with some Contax shutters. The normal sound is a well damped and satisfying’pfft’ for lack of a better word. Luckily I had mine serviced by Contax before they shut down.
Enjoyed the video.
Commenting to please the algorithm. Stay golden my guy.
Another amazing video let’s gooooooooo
You already know!
Love the colors in your video. Are these in your LUTS
You are truly next level, the cinematic creativity that you possess is unparalleled.
Yet another banger from Vuh
That Sound 🍭🍭
Fully agree, I am a huge Contax fan since the 1990s. And the RX is probably the very best Contax of all time !
Love your videos !
You are truly appreciated Vuh! 🙏🏾
You snapped on these photos
Highly recommend trying out an Olympus OM4
I’d love to hear your thoughts on it
Yaaass this is art
Opening sequence fire asf as always
I live for your content fam
What up doe. Cool video bro. That camera takes great pictures with such little light. Great eye.
Landes Gang in the building 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Would love to see a video on your color grading process
try the 85mm 1.4 mmj. stunning
Those things are so freakin bulky though. Had an ST but sold it. The 167MT, or even the Aria, on the other hand is so nice to handle. The lenses are well known as being some of the best but for some reason photographers aren't super into these compared to other older SLR brands.
i love this!
Bro really is underrated and undefeated at making YT content movies every time EVERY time sheesh
I remember when I first got into photography back in the 80s here in England. I read a book by a guy who was a Contacts RTS user and he said the Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 was the fastest and sharpest portrait lens. I went Nikon FE & never got Contax or Carl Zeiss (too expensive), but I always knew Contax & Zeiss were for the coolest kids. 😊 ps. I shoot Nikon D3X & D3s these days.
I was looking at the RX/AX a year or so ago, ofc I had to go take a look back after this vid! Needless to say prices have taken a hike😂
Awesome photos! Love your work! I recently purchased the RX and the internal light meter does not work on mine either, it reads the wrong aperture setting so that messes up my exposure. I'm new to film coming from digital so I'm used to relying on the cameras light meter. I don't want to get rid of it because the camera looks and feels mint, would you suggest getting an external light meter in my case? Hope you see this, and keep on killing it!
did you use the fx3 for the video shots when the girl gets in the truck? and is there a specific LUT for that look or is it just the great way you color graded it? I'm very much new to this camera stuff and only have an a7iii but the truck videography with the girl in this video is the exact look I'm trying to achieve for my clothing brand. i only watch your channel for inspiration because you shoot the exact style that has inspired me. thanks for creating don't stop
noti gang hi vuh you're one of my biggest inspirations
Legend!
I just got the Contax RTS III and tbh I might return it because it's heavy and the meter doesn't work so I was disappointed. This seems like it might be a better option and the same lens fits!
Have you ever tried a broader strap? It can make or break a camera! Just a suggestion. I shoot heavy medium frame cameras a lot and for me regular SLR's almost feel like toys now.
Alternatively, if low weight is a requirement, I often use EOS 300 bodies. Those things are featherweights.
@@theothertonydutch I haven't! Any suggestions for broader straps? I have one custom leather one I was gifted that I use for my yashica-a but that camera isn't very heavy.
My only concern with cameras like this is that once the electronics fail in it or the motor winder dies, that’s that. The more automatic features a camera has the more likely they will fail, and unfortunately these cameras aren’t getting any younger. On the plus side, it looks like the price is right.
I do love those tactile sounds though 🤤
Do you always , the shots are nice an the colors look "BOOM"
Thanks for the great vid. Do you have a page where more photos from this camera can be viewed? Cheers
AEJ - auto exposure Japan
MMJ - multi mode Japan
These are two generations of lenses. MMJ has better coating and different form of aperture blades - making bokeh more pleasing at average aperture settings🙌
Beautiful camera and stellar photos❤️
MM lenses also will let you use aperture priority and program modes. AE lenses won’t.
@@chriscorey5164 that’s what multi mode means🙌
The RX has 2 metering modes, spot and centre weighted, if you are metering in spot metering mode you to need apply an adjustment to the meter reading if the area you are metering on is an area that you do not wish to render as a mid grey tone, this may explain your metering issue. The RX has rather a lot of advanced features for a beginners camera. It is a nice Contax though.
I’m aware of the metering modes and how to use them. The meter reads the wrong exposure no matter what
@@vuhlandes Ok, Contaxes default to 100 ISO if they can't read the DX code. If you have not already done so you could test the meter by manually specifying the ISO setting, if it is still wrong your meter is definitely off. They were certainly a lot more expensive when bought new. The camera mirrors can slip, I have had that happen with mine, it is repairable though. Nice video.
Hey Mate, great channel, great videos. I was wondering, why did you cjoose to shoot/publish ypur videos in 4:3 format?
Idk how you direct your models but every single shot slaps
hey Vuhlandes i love your videos, keep up the great work!
p.s. can you please tell me what light are you using in the beginning of the video? (from 0:00-0:11) thanks!
A projector + haze? I am trying to find out as well
Yup. Haze and projector

its beautiful 😎
I've been on the fence of getting the contax g2 to shoot weddings. I shoot mostly 120 film but was looking for a 35mm film camera. Is this a good alternative to the contax G2?
Apples and oranges. The G2 is borderline useless in manual focus mode, so you pretty much have to use it in AF mode. The 90mm is one of, if not the, sharpest lenses I have ever used. I love my G2, but almost never use it.
I'd say yes. What makes it a great camera are the lenses really, you could find a contax body that fits your style and then build up the exact lens collection you need. As for the RX, it's an incredibly easy camera to use and it feels great in the hand. Viewfinder is like non other I've seen and overall it makes for a great experience. The only downside would be the lightmeter, mine doesn't work in center-weighted mode but it's fine in spot meter. By the looks of it, it might by a common weakness in its design(?). You'd have to get a good copy for all the automatic functions to work properly, you could always go for manual ofc but it is a little bit of a bummer when the camera isn't fully functional. I mean, Contax cameras can often be unreliable though, so if you're between the G2 and RX, the latter would be a much smarter investment. The body alone isn't as expensive as the G2. And the G2 becomes pretty much useless if something fails, you also have to rely on its autofocus which is a whole other topic altogether... those contax rangefinders are indeed gorgeous though so if that's what you want, go for it haha
thank you for this reply, I'm a wedding photographer which is what I'd be using the contax for. The zeiss glass is beautiful. I'm think I'm going to go for the G2 and get the warranty from KEH since they offer it up to 4 years @@alexbustamante6532
great videos
what’s the light u used in the beginning of the video
Forget about the film camera, what is the camera and lens you shot the video with? ❤
oooon I’m so angry. Yet another hit da Vuhlander done made and still underrated
I'm thinking of upgrading my cannon a1 is good to upgrade to
How the hell did you get that opening door POV?! THAT WAS CRAZY. 😮
How did u film the first shot?
🔥🔥🔥
Those Zeiss lenses, though…❤
4:50 is that the vine guy
How can I purchase the camera do you have an affiliate link?
great vid, whats the strap
Vuh I need to ask how you did the opening shot? What's the light behind the camera? Is it a projector??
Even if he didn’t use a projector, if you used one, it would most certainly have the same effect
Another dope vid🔥 Polaroid should have sent you the new camera to try out bruh they sleeping. I would love to see you try it out and test black skin on the film.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
What’s the difference between the Vuhlandes LUT Pack and the Klean LUT Pack?
I got a canon t6i eos dslr is that a good camera?
My birthday is coming up within the next few weeks, it looks like I've found a present for myself.
lmao at the intro
Now you gotta do a Top 5 cameras lol
I bought this camera right after I saw this. Next question.
Secrets out
better then the Contax g2 ?
I want it just for the noises 😂
This camera is the best mirror camera ever made for capturing small photos, especially in advertising photography. Nothing else came close when it came to these compact shots. The primary advantage lies in the quality of the ZEISS lens; it simply outperforms everything else. This lens really packs a punch. There were two versions available, one with 50mm f/1.4 and the other with 50mm f/1.7. In general, all CONTAX lenses were top-notch, second only to the LEICA rangefinder lenses. Unfortunately, the last model, the ARIA version, marked the downfall of the brand. The camera had a design flaw that couldn't be rectified; it had a tendency to jam at the most inconvenient times, requiring the removal of batteries. This issue led to a decline in sales, despite it being the most advanced model. Contax cameras featured exceptionally bright glass prisms for focusing and offered a nearly 95% field of view. You could focus by eye without a rangefinder, thanks to the prism screen! Regards."
I bought your Lut package and have received the verification code in my email, but it still shows an error and cannot be downloaded. Why?
Lmao I got an RTSll last summer and asked this dude in my same city to come shoot and now he Contax RX 😂 I have a bunch Contax lenses though if you want to shoot still
Now this camera is gonna be like 900 dollars
Hmmm, for a man who hates Nikon. This really be a Nikon F4 replica. :) Had to drop a nikon comment. I do like the look of the Contax but I also own a F4 so.
Now these cameras are gonna blow up in cost 😂😂😂
This was exactly my experience after I accidentally bought a contax rts iii on eBay. I’m never going to sell it.
Do you still have your Nikon F3?
bro what's your process to rig up a camera to a car door like that
man’s know i want to sell my Canon AE-1 and A1 for one these bad boys😳
becuae of you i buy one, 1000%
REAL RX
