That is not necessarily a change in your personality though. You had that positive change after watching that movie because you were raised right and because you're a normal person. So it's not really a change but rather a reaction to new information. Of course movies have that ability.
But if you were a wife beater who verbally abuses your wife because dowry was low, I assure you a movie will not change your attitude.
But the political correctness claim is that your entire personality will change if you see certain things in a movie positive or negative. For example the joke in Meeshamadavan Dileep said to Kayva when she was asleep has zero effect but according to some people it will cause a ripple effect which cause the end of the world. Pseudo-scientific nonsensical claims like this are the problem

It is a known fact that Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty made Ranjith lose his common sense. Ever since that movie came out, the quality of his work has gone from bad to worse. Its such a shame that such a talented film maker has now been reduced to these levels. I'm not sure what the reasons are but I wish he does some serious introspection and sticks to making good movies which he's known for rather than commenting about other people.

If you are a someone who already belongs to any of these categories movies don't matter there either.
Movies can, if allowed free expression, show you the problems in society when you see people celebrating certain negative things in movies. That is not a reflection on movies or it's makers but society as a whole. Censoring makes people blind about what the actual thoughts of people are. This has already happened in the west with the Andrew Tate phenomenon. People thought 50 years politically correct movies and TV shows changed people's view but they found out recently that it hadn't not only that but it has made it worse!
Censorship is not an answer to anything ever. If you have good society where children are raised with love and values they won't watch trash. Or they'd find trash and follow trash while you think the world fixed because there are no more politically incorrect movies
