Thank you so much for understanding how to teach. I have ADHD and it becomes very difficult for me to keep up. I can see all your cords at all times. If I have to pause the video, I can count your cords and see exactly where mine need to be. Your pace is perfect. Well done!
This is the nicest Josephine Knot tutorial that I have watched! I actually think I might be able to do it from now on without watching a video before and during... Thank you so much! 😊
Just got over my fear of making josphine knot!!! Your explanation is so clear and easy to follow. I made a keychain just now using your tutorial. 🙂 thank you so much
Doing it with one pair of cords is the simplest, this is harder as it has 3 pairs of cords to flatten and make sure are flat. It looks beautiful but if you want to simplify it, use less cords and then when your ready, add more.
What a great video to watch, I am very new to macrame but I will be definitely trying to make this. Thank you so much for sharing and making it so clear 😊 x
You prolly dont care but does anyone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I love any help you can give me
@Armando Cassius i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Very nice..you made me easy to follow.. I've been attempting a lot to do Josephine knot but failed so many times😁.. Thank you.. Hope to see more posts of macrame with you. ❤️❤️
Hi Ceri, Your videos are great. I've been wanting to do some things. I think by following your instructions I can make something. I'll try it out and let you know. Thanks for your inspiration.
Hi Ceri... My first time here. I was looking to make a key chain and I found you. Your instructions are pretty clear along with the details in description. Wanted to check with you if I can use the crochet thread (I do not know the gauge of same)
carol rodrigues Hi Carol, I love crochet and did it for years before I started macrame. If your crochet thread is wool, it’s a bit too soft and as you tighten knots they will become so small as the wool will squash. You might find you loose definition and it doesn’t hold as firm as the braided/twisted cotton. If it’s something firmer like t-shirt yarn it could work. Good to practice with what you have at hand if it’s all you have though.
@@CraftedbyCeri Thanks Ceri for your quick response. The crochet is cotton and not wool. As you suggest, I will try it out first on a thick wire to hold and see out it turns out and then will proceed on a key ring. Thanks once again 🙏💕
carol rodrigues give it a try, I’d love to see how it turns out. You can share a picture with me here: facebook.com/craftedbyceri OR: instagram.com/craftedbyceri
The cord is 4mm twisted cotton cord. The firmer the cord, the better it will hold. If your knots form well but move because of the softness of your rope, you can always take a cotton thread and needle and sew it in place together to keep it in shape. Let me know how it works. Ceri x
I picked up macrame recently then I came across your channel. I want to thank you for such a clear and interesting tutorial. I loved the way this knot looked and I am going to try and make it. Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge with us. May Allah bless you
Thank you so much for your thoughtful message, it means a lot to me that I can help others through sharing my tutorials. All the best sister, have fun crafting.
If your new to Macramé, keychains are a great way to start. Get some rope or a DIY kit from my shop and give it a try as you’ll cover all the basic knots this way 😊👍
Natalia Darocha of course. It’s very nice to work with twisted cord, especially when it is soft and easy to brush out into a lovely tassel like this. I get these from WhimsydesignsUK on etsy. Message her and mention Craftedbyceri as she may have a promo discount from time to time you could use.

It’s one of those ones that is hard to get your head around so I’m not surprised you had a fear! Glad this tutorial helped you master it though! 🥳
Love this. The Josephine knot has been so intimidating. Can’t wait to try.
When you give it a go, let me know how you get on. Hopefully it's easy to follow.
Thank for this very good video - it’s was very easy for a beginner to follow you - even if I has to practise this knot a a lot of times

thank you for this video. I had my first go and it was easier than expected. Mine is not as nice as yours but I am really pleased! THANK YOU!
Hi Ceri , this knot is pretty awesome and looks different, what kind of chord did you use for the Josephine knot? Is it cotton ? Thank you
Yes. It’s 4mm cotton twisted cord. The firmer the rope the better it will hold. Loosely twisted rope will move more.

This one is going to take some practice. I can get the knot i just cant get it to move up to the top
Take it slowly and tighten up along the direction of the knot. You’ll get it.
🌺👏🤗🙏🥰👍

please help me last part ı cant do😞😢
polenhalilhome kose the last bit is a wrapping knot. It can be fiddly to do but it gets easier with practice. Wrap slowly and tightly
