This is the crown show that got me into DCI. I strongly believe this show should’ve won but wow. This is such a powerful show and group. Let’s hope Crown takes it this year!
There's a few I think should've won, but brass can't do it all alone unfortunately. Takes everyone doing everything perfectly or as close to it as possible.
thats so great to hear, crown 2012 was the first show i saw live and it brought tears to my eyes. i marched 2015 and 2016 it made me happy you said that.
Brandon Mathis from 2011-2016 were the elite years... now Crown doesn’t have a color guard or anyone with visual design awareness and it’s holding them back a lot.
Bazinga Bot absolutely not, crown had a perfect brass score in 2017 except for one hold where the judge marked “intination problem” because he had to mark something lol
Understand why they elected to modify the closer, but IMO the former packed a much more sonic punch. Wish they could have lost the violence of the original ending without sacrificing that magnificent impact.
I think that's what killed their momentum in 2016, they were on track to win but changing the tone so drastically with no leadup and for seemingly no reason of the change of heart definitely hurt their GE. Even with the change they should've gotten 2nd
Agreed. "Tilt" was destined for The Founders Trophy in '16, but IMO Crown coulda' snagged the silver. Rondo said it quite well, "Best THIRD PLACE show I've ever seen."
3 caption wins, third place. Had to have been the greatest third show ever. No one marched, tossed, or sounded like that this year. Period.
that's exactly what rondinaro said during recaps, and implied by his infection and delivery that it should have placed higher.
One caption finals night - brass. Percussion did them in again.
This is the best show I've seen from Crown 2016 other than the DCI finals.
The part at 4:55 leading up into the hit is one of my favorite moments, fantastic power from it.
Who would have thought this spaghetti Western would be one of the most powerful drum corps shows of all time?
Profound.
9:44 gives me chills. Its all blended together

no ballad... jk i agree
Fr. Bloo should have won ‘15. Crown should have won ‘16
Best crown show ever IMO
For the Common Good
Golfingcub02 OOTW
Can we all agree that they’re all super good from 2012-2018..... but 2019 kinda lacked compared to the greats
@@brandonmathis1892 no

I just want to point out how crazy it is they split the baseline at 3:20 ish
This show has to be the greatest in all history
I like the very beginning... Honestly if there was a top drum core I would want to go to, it would be Crown for sure👌
Srry, I gotta go blu gang
Bazinga Bot it’s bloo
I am team Crown
This show never ceases to amaze me. So good.
Honestly this performance was even better than finals!
They're coming back to Baldwin in 2018. Bob Stevens
This isn't janet Stephen's, right?
Those rifle tosses at the opening hit were clean af. I wish they would have kept that version.
Nobody else has that sound
Micah Lall-Trail that’s probably true but I’m saying no other hornline has the sound that this one does
@@iAmNovaFilms BD 2017, anyone?
Bazinga Bot nah

@@jackclancy6950 do you have access to the brass judge tape or any tape where you heard that?
Allow me to bless your soul 11:37
What's the piece at 3:29
Medea's dance of vengeance by Samuel Barber
Is it fair to say that ‘16 was crown’s loudest hornline of the Harloff era?
Excuse me, but wtf is the harloff era?
Bazinga Bot their current brass caption head who’s been there for a little while now, it’s the reason their brass wins damn near every year
15’s was loud too, ‘14 was definitely quieter than 15 and 16. Not sure about the years before that.
I've always thought it was 12.
@@as_sv9788 12 was pretty loud, but 16 absolutely peeled paint off the walls for 15 minutes
If you cheer less than the people in this video, you are wrong
LMAO.
