    i just got my new Spyder3 and it introduced me with a whole new feeling of oscillation. they are very strong compared to my old wing and difficult to get dealt with on my first flight which shows how little experience i have. couldnt get them under control at all why is that? it was not terrible but i noticed them even while flying which never happened before.
    trevor you referred to kyles video to not get closer to ground right? i have mixed feelings about this. i am not interested to do foot drags or other stunts. but i do like to go lower even on my experience level if i fly against the wind only since speeds get really slow.
    but i agree doing that will eventually get you into tricky situations you dont have if you stay a bit higher.

      You'll find the more trim you pull down the more dampening you will get on the swinging. If you are flying trims out it will swing the most and be the least dynamically stable. You want the most positive dynamic stability when learning Oscillation control. Keep your trims down. Especially on that spyder. I don't know the actual numbers but I'd be willing to bet that wing has the highest number of accidents and fatalities than any other brand/model. Be careful with that thing. I personally know of 2 who crashed with that wing. One almost died on it and got completely out of the sport afterwards. He was on a Spyder that he bought from Tucker Gott that Tucker himself used to fly. Pretty sure the other guy got scared out of flying on his also since he hasn't up'd a ppg vid in 4 years. I won't drop names here but if you PM me I can point you to their you tube pages. Be safe on that thing....I'm serious. Follow the ppg bible and law of speedbar use and brake use with trims out. THat thing is prone to collapse.

      @@doubledeeeeeeez cheers mate. jesus you shocked me. i fly trims all the way in and never touch them because i am much faster than everybody else around me anyway. you can see my landings. because i am 135kg and all geared up 160-170kg i bought the biggest spyder3 in 30m size with max loading of 190kg. i am right at the very upper limit and all other pilots nearby cant fly with me because i always pull away even they are trimms out and mine all way in. i also never touch speedbar. i wont set it up and i am not interested in any way to ever use it. i dont do tricks. no foot drags. not even wingovers. i am flying for only one reason and that it to touch clouds one day. because i am fatty i got this wing to be able doing zero wind launches. so you said trimms all way in will dampen the left and right swinging but it doesnt. today i had the most amazing flight day ever. i went up to 550m and then stowed brakes to see if i can stop oszillations simply by weight shifting. answer still nope. if i grab a brake and active control against that its gone in one swing but comes back soon without me doing much... i will keep an eye out for this. thanks for the heads up mate! 🫶🏻👊🙏🫡

    Nice tutorial and tips!
    I want to understand, which wing will consume more fuel on monster185: a large 32feet, high lift, EN-A wing like MojoMax or a smaller size Spyder/Viper? Consider the fact that I don't need hight speed flying or acrobatics, just 15-20miles/hr slow flying.

      The largest Viper Xc will be more efficient than a 32 MOJO Max and easier to launch and maneuver IMO. Example Sirocco 3 22 and Gin Pegasus 3 26 have similar trims in speeds and rpms. The viper is also substantially more efficient than the Sirocco.

      @@jammer4578 Thanks for the information! But tandem trike weight upto 500lbs/250kgs is my requirement too. That's why looking for MojoMax.
      This is a high lift wing, my only concern is fuel efficiency with this setup if this wing will support it favorably?

    • @jammer4578
      @jammer4578 8 місяців тому

      @@MahaBali7975 bigger wings and higher aspect ratios will be more efficient. The 36 MOJO Max will be more efficient ( trims in gallons per hour) than the 33.
