One of the best things you can do for your dog is to mix in cooked chicken and soup bones with their meals. My Siberian Husky gets the marrow from a soup bone mixed with a kibble in the morning along with the soup bone to chew on. For dinner she gets cooked, pulled chicken mixed with kibble and a little olive oil. I also give her a half a milk bone biscuit after each meal to help clean her teeth. When I switched her over to this diet 5 years ago she immediately lost a few lbs and her coat became much healthier. It has kept her weight at a normal level as well.
Make sure your dog digests the kibble first before eating raw.
After 9 years of Taste of the Wild kibble, my little dog just grew weary of it. Even with the occasional chicken breast or steak or zuchinni and carrots added to it. Core Wellness makes an excellent 6 fish wet canned dog food. My Eskie loved it! At 12 cans for $30.00, it's competitive with the highest quality canned dog food I can get locally. I also buy Orijen dry dog food. He loves it too. At 4 lbs. for $30.00 he had better love it. And yes, Amazon is the best buy for all of these foods.
I just found your video. Its very interesting. I have been feeding my puppy, wellness Core. Its spendy but he loves it. I have read all ingredients in packages and research all good food for puppy and i decided to give him Core. I was happy to see it #1 on your list.

Charlie'sEyeball7duh. Only Natural freeze dried food is great. I feed my sheltie it and he loves it, plus it's very healthy much healthier than kibble. You can find this brand at most pet stores.

Try whole hearted by petco, or whole earth. Both are cheaper options. while they are not the best food, on the market for your dog because their first ingredient is meal, (they do have not meals in their foods) they are heavy with pork fat which are great for taste.

Not really, the primary ingredient in it is corn so it is not a very balanced food for your dog.

Dogs generally will eat just about anything - doesn't mean it's good for them, does it? As a responsible dog owner, it's on me to see that what they eat is actually good for them. ;D

I heard bad things about raw diets. My neighbor tried it with her dog after the dog training school kept promoting it/pushing for it and her dog was skinny/wouldn't gain any weight. I don't want my dog looking skinny/starved. I like Wellness brand or something along that lines. A better quality dog food.
Well your neighbour should have fed it 'more' then...simple. Raw fed dogs stay lean, toned and healthy...who wants a dog that's got 'fat' on fillers/grains and additives?
You can buy healthier kibble without grains, fillers and additives. I don't want a fat dog but I also don't want my dog to look starving
Its not about what you want... Its about what your dog needs. Raw diet is the best period. Do your research on it before you give your opinion. But as noted if you don't do it right you can damage your dog and its a little expensive. a raw diet should be 80% meat, 10% offal, 10% meaty bones. I feed my dog 1/2 raw prey diet and 1/2 kibble cause its what I can afford (but don't mix kibble with raw food because raw digests faster than dried food). I feed orijen original in the morning and the raw meal in the evening/night.
