Ok so there is the situation God is playing his guitar and those morons seems to be totally deaf to his majestic and unique sound. Anyway Page is so fucking good.
WeTalk440 it’s because he was colouring it for years before he decided to stop it. Jimmy’s hair started to grey quickly like most dark haired people do. He suits the grey.
This ENTIRE recording HAS to be included as a track in a/some future compilation in the future! That was SO cool how he did that sound the middle of it and included improvisation for, "Whole Lotta Love"!
His studio work is different because he records multiple guitar tracks in one song to give it an orchestrated guitar effect. Plus people get used to hearing the songs played that way note for note. Live he can only play one guitar. From 69-75 he has a lot of great guitar work live. I say even still. He got "sloppier" but always creative. He always improvises solos & changes things up a lot to keep it fresh. It's like hearing something new each time. Much of his live stuff is absolutely amazing!
Dude, I'm one of the biggest LZ fans this side of the equator. The other day I watched Celebration Day, and enjoyed it so much that I restarted it and watched the whole thing again. I have all nine albums and How the West was Won in my car and listen to them on constant, nonstop rotation. But come on. That was crap.
That stuff at the end was amazing...the sound et al. Do you have, "The Song Remains The Same"? What about, "BBC Sessions"? Those might be the best live release by them...
Hi Jimmy, you should have played the solo and knock those guys off their seats. The Whole Lotta Love guitar solo was one of the first I learned when I was a teen. I drove my guitar teacher crazy.
@PBANDSNOW Its something a die hard Zep fan would say. I share his view as well. Jimmy Page has achieved more in his life than the collective group of businessmen at his side; he is practically known as a "God" of music. Obviously the "businessmen" didnt know much about him or they would've shown him much more respect than just smug smiles on their faces while he was playing.
that's too funny. everyone there was restraining so damn hard to keep from either moving their heads, playin' air guitar alongside jimmy or to just keep from exploding inside their pants. the women did explode.
@XDKX101 I can say without a doubt that I am a bigger Zeppelin, and especially Page, fan than he is, perhaps one of the top ten. It had nothing to do with being a Zep fan, it's possible they just decided to look somewhere else, because we have that ability.
how did such a great guitar player an my personal favorite manage to not be able to play guitar anymore while his buddies Clapton and beck just keep getting better. What happened to the great Jimmy Page - drugs ? no practice? arthritis? I don't get it in the early 70s I thought he was better and more creative than Clapton and Beck -
It's been mentioned for years that in the mid seventies he unfortunatly developed a heroin addiction which messed up his overall abilities. Sad that sometimes such brilliant people can do damage to themselves. Look at the concerts from 73 to 79 and it's quite niticeable the slow decline. Nonetheless he is a legend.
Wtf is he doing in front of those Sharks....Page you are a sell out...money rules doesnt it???? Plant said it also...also doing Kashmir with Puff the Crap Daddy. JOKE
The best thing that ever happened to the NYSE.

hard to believe this was only 2 years before the O2 concert.
It's amazing how quickly his hair changed color.
+WeTalk440 he was usin grecian formula then stopped.

He should renounce that performance for those snakes.
im guessing it's a digitech whammy pedal
Shane Yetter Could be. I didn’t see him using a b-bender.
he should have played cherish by the association
why ?
With an army of seven year olds? I shall achieve everything.
Hold the line 🚀 $GME
Well, that was different. 😊
