He is not your typical pop artist because he is actually trained in the classic way and he experiments with music and its expression, so it takes some understanding to get used to him. He definitely has broadened my understanding and love of alternative types of pop music. The amazing thing is that I may not like or too impressed with his song at first listen, but strangely after a few listens, his songs always turned out to be my favorites, especially if you know well what he sings about too. I have read quite a few times people say that in the comments that it is amazing that his songs actually endure repeated listening very well! On the other hand, if you still cannot get into it no matter what, then it is just that. People just have different tastes, anyway!
