Hi Paul that's awesome to hear! The fact that you have seen such a massive improvement in only 6 weeks is very promising! Especially as you have had this problem for 11 years! @@pranavsharma8807 ...Because I was worried about making things worse, I started off doing only one set of each exercise, with about 6 reps, once a day. After the first week I was building up to 3 sets twice a day (morning and evening). If you get any sharp pain stop immediately, wait a couple of days and start again. Good luck. It's a long, slow process but it works.

U r very right, in 2016, I got injury in my right shoulder (rotator cuff tear, bursitis/ tendonitis) while doing street gymnastics and fooled by doctors who suggested rotator cuff exercises, that even worsen my shoulder. I got recovered by doing weight training exercises exactly as u suggest using very light weight. I was surprised why all youtube insisted on rotator cuff twisting exercises that even injure and are bullshit in reality. I even visited physiotherapist they also suggested me the same that keep adding shear effects and making my condition bad. You really surprised me man, I found u the most prudent guy who have real understanding of injuries on youtube.. 💕

Having gone through this process myself. I can say, he is totally correct. I would lift in the gym and get upset with the pain and loss of performance as well as disrupted sleep from being unable to comfortably lay on my shoulder. The combination of a scan to identify the exact problem via a doctor, an anti-inflammatory injection to help clear the space in the shoulder, massage, and physio with exercise input and acupuncture. Going back to the gym and focusing on balance and mobility has given me a 90% improvement and reduction in pain. One thing in isolation will not fix a problem but an overall treatment plan will. People think, no effort and a one time injection or pill will fix these things in any part of their body. Unfortunately, this is not the case. It becomes an ongoing process of management, after repair. Maintaining movement, flexibility and weight as well as a healthy diet will aid in quality of life outcomes in rehab as well as overall enjoyment of life.

@@likithcharan675 Hey my friend. I stopped training during covid this year which has caused things to stiffen up. But the work was not in vain. I am 80% better and within a week make in the gym 10% better again. Since this was a mismanagement over 7 year. 90% is a great result and I am very happy with the improvement. Definitely sleeping better and better able to use the shoulder sometimes I have a movement jam in the gym but part of that is the process of getting everything to work the correct way and not how I had been compensating to get around poor joint function. So I still 100% support what i wrote above. It is definitely the way to work, not all injuries recover 100% but it is better than 10% function. Keep up the work and I hope you are progressing with your chosen recovery path.

@@ernestberlot8289 Believe it or not, I injured my shoulder playing with my dog when I wound up doing some sort of push-up like press movement to 'evade' him.
I felt a sudden excruciating pain that lasted over a week. Went to my GP, got told to wait 2 months for the shoulder to heal and then check back in again - which in fairness I never did.
I spent years avoiding exercising thinking it'd make things worse.
I am feeling great. I agree with the doc, working on it and strengthening the muscles around it really does wonders for you. I've now moved onto doing a Push/Pull/Legs routine at home as well as a cardio (150 min a week on my stationary bike) routine, and a 10 minute posture routine before bed. Shoulders/rotator cuffs feel 90% better.

Very impressive education about shoulder structure, injury, pain plus exercises.. Thank you so much . I went through surgery with a fully torn supraspinatus 4 years ago . My range of motion is not the same on that shoulder I had before. I had really bad experience with PT in Chicago. I am still struggling with pain from time to time because inappropriate care .I am so sorry that I did not research and saw this video that time. The presentation, the recommended exercises really resonate with me. Now I have a full supraspinatus tear on my other shoulder. I can function, sleep and have almost total flexibility except on movement. The sergeant says I have no other way but surgery, Others like his assistant and PT friend say if I strengthen the other 3 muscles I will be fine I wonder if I can afford not to have the surgery regarding the future. There are so many different opinion and experience around me.I am eating healthy and active I hope to have someone with experience in the UK who can share his or her opinion

Thank you for the exercises. I have undergone Arthroscopic Bankart Repair

Thank you so much for this video! However, I disagree with the last part of the video. The shoulder movement where your elbow is in line with your shoulder at the top, if you do it on the ground and with your shoulder on the ground, it is very helpful and many many athletes suggest it. Please reply

I agree with you that that rotator cuff exercise where you use the dumbbells and you hold him up and moving towards you that one does cause kind of an impingement or something because your shoulders are already kind of in a compromised position when their up like that thank you the side ones are better

Precision Wellbeing Group thanks again for the video and replying yeah I'm 64 and I found out that people that are 60 30% of them have some kind of a rotator cuff tear could be a small tear but I wasn't aware of that so that means that you've got to slow down if you're getting older you can't keep going doing what you did when you were 20 thanks a lot dude take care

Thank you very much your videos as well as a few other on youtube helped me drastically reduce my shoulder pain. A few time the last year or so i waked up with a shoulder pain. At first it was minor and only letting my arm rest in a scarf warped around my neck during few days, and this had my pain go away (at that time i was assuming if i had pain, resting was the best). But last time it happened my shoulder pain kept on going for a couple of months without sign to go away. I couldn't even swim or plunge in the sea as the range of motion was just hurting too much. Now i made a lot of stretching and ball massage and the pain is mostly away and i can swim again. I figure out the cause: it was due to an old mattress (i could feel springs), and my sleeping position on the right side squeezing my shoulder had me wake up with shoulder pain a few times now. I'm really glad i could find some kind of self treatment as the health system here is absolutely terrible these last few decades (they try to force people into a private health sector and are just behaving very badly to make this happen, so i just avoid them straight away if i can). So thank you for those video, exercises was actually the way to go to heal which is really counter intuitive.

Thanks for the video....im gonna start tomorrow am with your exercises....I had a seizure about 4 months ago and somehow injured my shoulder during.....alot of the movements you showed were not to painful but the movement at 17:00, I can barely do. It's a bad numbing pain over my whole shoulder and pain running down back of my arm to elbow? I 1st realized how bad it was when tried to do squats and could not lift arm back in that rotation to grip squat bar.....thanks for the video

I hurt my shoulder doing dips on hotel chairs, where the right arm, the chair was wobbling. My shoulder has been screwed up for months and months. Learned some things, but it still sucks not being able to do burpees or pushups or planks without agrivating it.

Interesting approach! I like using the resistance training moves as a way to build stability as opposed to the standard rotator band work. Plus knowing why there is pain in certain degrees and working to just before pain. I love it.

Very interesting. I have a SLAP lesion on my shoulder, and i found pullovers on a machine works like magic. Been able to chest press again with them, but then my shoulder kept hurting me again..i agree with you about rotar cuff exercises, they just make it worst. I don't know maybe i only have to do pullovers for chest and back exercises..

Amazingly clear and straight forward. I've suffering of shoulder pain for the past 5 months, once I got an MRI it revealed supraspinatus tendinopathy, bursitis, severe bicepcipital tendinitis and SLAP tear.
Physical therapy has been helpful and maintaining ROM and minimizing pain coupled with medication (Jointcare & Piascledine). It is slowly improving.
Based on Orthopedic Surgeon consultation, I might need PRP treatment, what do you think of PRP?

      Thanks Ashley
I've had 3 PRP treatments, there is some improvement but not enough.
3 different surgeons recommended Bicep tenodesis (to address bicep tenosynovitis and slap tear) with possible rotator cuff repair. But surgery was postponed due to current COVID-19 Pandemic 😥
Now focusing on conditioning excersizes, and slowly improving 🙂

I've been doing all the band stretching most days for a month. I've got good RoM with no specific pain at any point.
I am however still experiencing low level constant pain on my anterior shoulder.

Hi Rich. sounds like you've done a great job so far so well done to you! There are a few things it could be at the front of the shoulder including biceps tendon, pec tendon, labrum and infraspinatus tendon. Without seeing you it's impossible to tell you more specifically than that. It is always worth getting it checked out just to make sure there is nothing to worry about too. Let me know if that helps or if you have any questions. Best wishes, Ashley.

If you have pain as you describe possibly caused by bursitis or inflammation of the supraspinatus, should you refrain from weight training such as lateral raises or presses until the shoulder pain is better? These cause me a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort for many days afterward. How long will it take to see results from the exercises and stretching you recommend?
