one of my best friends has a Gretsch Tennessee Rose and the thing is an absolute beast. lovely guitar really. these gretsch humbuckers are pretty unique and sound phenomenal. great work, as always Mike!
These came out in 1959 and they were played in Bo Diddly's band. Guitar and bass and were originally called the Jupiter Thunderbird. Bo Diddly gave one to Billy Gibbons. He used it in the studio with ZZ Top but didn't want to take it on the road so he had Gretsch make him a new one(or2) then they released them under the Billy-Bo moniker. Billy Gibbons did not design this shape.
I love your playing and that is a really nice song you are playing. I just bought a Billy Bo knock off and I hope it can sound remotely close to yours. I can't afford a real one, yet. Thanks for your video. Peace.
The guitar was actually designed by Bo Diddley, and Gretsch produced it. He gave the guitar to Billy Gibbons, and he was so impressed he had Gretsch refine it again to his specifications and they produced the "Billy Bo," Billy as in Billy Gibbons and Bo as in Bo Diddley.
First comment! Woo Hoo! Mike, from one mike to another, we love you man. Keep it up! Maybe throw us a curve-ball every now and then. Show us something totally unique to you.

This shape is the silhouette of a slinky woman in an off the shoulder dress with tailfin-shapes over her legs.
Lol !
Nice guitar, but not exactly what Billy would play on it..... ;-)
Doh ! You got that right. That wasn't exactly " Sharp Dressed Man " Lol !!
This guitar was designed by Bo Diddley, Billy ask Bo if could play on his set
Billy like the Jup. & Bo gave the Jup. to Billy.
I love it when you can get to hear a guitar when it played clean. So you know what she sounds like when played dirty
