hi rob, I agree with this. Sometimes when you lose a large amount, and you promise yourself you'll stop forever... you go back to gambling a few weeks or months later because all the pain of losing has "worn off". And we start the cycle all over again
I did that went solo travelling and at a train connection I stopped and gambled away my balance 50 miles from home and had friends and family sending me money but I'd just gamble that until I got the ticket first. Quitting involves realising the unimportance of gambling what it provides for you? 5/6 instances nothing!...
I once had to ask a random person at the table for $10 for gas. He said no, and I had to go around asking everyone at the machines. One old lady gave me $10

Relapsed and lost 100K savings, all money accumulated after 2 years of being sober and hard work. Everything is pointless, it’s better to keep gambling daily rather than relapse once in a few years and loose everything. Disheartening

This is true,im addicted to scratch tickets,i lost over $30000 in 4 months,now im getting deeper in debt having to work 6 days a week,then i spend all my hard work on tickets and get back 380 out of $1000, average,it adds up
i almost facing is my last stage..everything i loss in gambling..i got a addicted in gambling..its ruined my live..i dont know what i do..my frnd destroyed my life..i dont want to live because i hv a very huge amount pay to people..still i hv no money to buying a food..😢😢😢

Some people seem to be beyond help. I had a friend who started to lie to fund his gambling addiction. His wife was divorcing him and came to me begging that he needs money to hire a lawyer because he didn’t want to lose custody of his kids and promised to quit gambling. My $10K is gone as he gambled it away and I’m told by his family that they already funded his lawyer. 30 years of friendship lost.
I lost 60k in total past month these losses make me crazy and I keep gambling thinking just take back what you lost and quit but I lose more the urge is killing today lost 1k in 1 min i hope it’s my last bet I have to accept the lose or I will lose it all
I’m curious, do you still enjoy watching sports or going to a resort casino despite not gambling anymore? Only sport I really enjoy watching purely is football.
Nancy Reagan was incredibly stupid with her banal "Just Say No" campaign against drugs. As a recovering alcoholic, coke and gambling addict and you can't "just say no" - you have to have something to replace the addiction that produces great feelings of pleasure to replace the addiction - not easy!!!

If u can pause that is an achievement. Stopping completely is very difficult.
