I only have three Pandora Rose pieces: the Rose clasp bangle, an older charm, and a newer charm. I have noticed my two older pieces look more coppery, which doesn’t bother me aesthetically. I actually quite like the look of copper. But, copper is much less expensive than silver... so it’s disappointing in that sense. I have some copper accents on my Trollbead bracelet, so I often pair my Pandora Rose bangle with it. I’m not mad about the change so much as it has turned off from spending more money on the Rose collection. It’s good they modified the formula to be better... but it’s still just plated jewelry. Don’t get me wrong, never say never, I even have a couple shine pieces, but both the Rose and Shine collections aren’t my favorite for that reason. I don’t see myself making frequent purchases from either collection.

My experience: I did purchase the Pandora Rose charm once and did not even had the chance to wear it, it was also in original box for 2 months, and it tarnished a lot, changed the color. With the silver pieces was all normal, no change.I did not purchase Pandora Rose ever since.
Unfortunately, some must-have charms come only in rose, like club charms, for example. I wish Pandora had versions in Silver only. This happens with Shine collection, too. I recently went to buy a new ring and noticed my other shine jewelry looked nothing like the new one, so I didn't buy it.
Such good information Emily!! This is so helpful! It’s so good to know it has changed! While I haven’t experienced any change in color I did notice some CZs in one of my rings turn green.

Yes this happened to my pave rose heart charms. Had them as earrings on posts. As soon as I cleaned them they changed. They were replaced by Pandora. The next pair turned green/blue in my jewellery box without being cleaned so they went back and I swapped them for the openworks ones and had cash to splash. After that I haven't trusted the czs in rose. Only other pieces with czs are rose heart bracelet (was a gift with purchase) and petite love knot. Ok atm. I'll have to check my pieces for the met.

Thank you for your video. I just purchased a Pandora Moments silver bracelet with the rose gold heart clasp. I purchased some rose gold charms as well. I'm not the type to remove my jewelry each time I bath, especially something, such as this bracelet, since it's not easy for me to put on. I typically wear gold or my silver Tiffany bracelet so it's never an issue. My question to you is how long can I expect the rose gold to last if I care for it the proper way? I had someone at Pandora tell me 2 years! That seems extreamly short!
Great informative video, Emily! I also found that cleaning my pandora rose pieces (old or new) with a white pandora cleaning cloth gets them back to their lighter pinkish hue and more shiny! I've compared my oldest and newest pandora rose items and they both look the same since i polish them back every few months, hope this helps:) -Lena

Hello Emily, what a great informational video on Pandora Rose. I myself don’t own very many Pandora Rose pieces because I am afraid of investing in the pieces because they are so delicate. I love the new murano’s that came out with the Autumn collection. I am planning on purchasing those. Looking forward to the new videos with little Ella. She is a cutie. I have had 3 poodles myself. Two have sadly passed already but I have one remaining. They are such great companions with great personalities. Take Care & God Bless :)
That’s a shame after having too pay all that money on the Rose pieces and having it change color. Pandora should compensate us.

They are truly misleading people with the rose gold collection. It should be less expensive. I would recommend sticking with the silver. I started buying the silver charms and mixing them with the rose gold

Ive had my pandora rose ever since it first came out and the colour is still the same mint condition. I've only washed it once which was yesterday since 2014. What I did was wear it and take it off at the end of the day and placed it in a jewelry box. I never let any perfume or lotion touch it. I heard it is also about your body chemistry too. I hardly sweat at all.
Thanks for the informative video! I always worry about plated jewelry, so I haven’t really invested in Pandora Rose or Shine. (I only have one pair of Pandora Rose earrings-and they aren’t as shiny as they were when I purchased them.) I am happy to hear, though, that they improved the formula. Wonderful video Emily as always! What Pandora bags are treated? The white ones? If so, I need to make sure none of my Rose pieces are being stored in them (I didn’t know that so thank you). Wow thanks I have been searching for this all week. I purchased one rose gold charm and stored it well until I bought a more pieces. The blush radiant hearts is definitely more darker and richer in tone and in fact I think looks better but. The new pieces such as the pink sparkle flower charm, are so much lighter and pink and not as nice in tone, they definitely stand out! I don’t think my original piece oxided enough but definitely seems like a different formula. Anyways that charm discontinued here and bought 2 years ago. I’m so glad I found this x Soraya x

Hi, I have a question about the rose gold!!! I bought the same signature open bangle in the regular sterling silver and one in the rose gold! My question is the rose gold bracelet is definitely lighter than the silver one, do you know if the rose gold items weigh less than the silver ones??
I have my original bracelet and my crown charm that have noticeably darkened and I was aware of the formula change so I knew why. It does stink because they don't sell the crown in rose anymore so I can never get it in the new formula but I am glad they changed it as the new is much better.

So what about all the customers who bought that formula and now have faded pandora pieces. 🤔 are they just out of luck? Or is Pandora doing something for people who fall into that category!

Can anything be done to the older Rose pieces…cleaning or polishing them, that will restore the original color? Like silver turns dark but can be cleaned to go back to looking brand new.

So i purchase the first line of pandora shine played gold. I never wore it. Stored it as directed by pandora! In months it was ruined. It’s all black and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I called pandora for warranty help and they refused. A $500 bracelet, trash!! I’m so frustrated! I see others not even take care of their plates jewelry and it’s fine. I’d what to do! I’d rather just fine a way to remove the plating and have it all be one color 😢 please help!
Ok so no MET marked pieces. I also have the rose lights I think they're called. Like the gold ones. We didn't get them in Australia but I got them off rue a couple of years ago when we could order from there. My heart clasp looks a little bit coloured on the czs but not to much change. Other than that the rose colour is good. I have one heart band ring and it's great. I don't wear my rose pieces a whole lot because I've always been concerned but I have a theory. When my daughter bought rose she already noticed it changed quite quickly. I've had mine for ages. I've just keep it made up as bracelets in my jewellery box. Nothing special. Washed it a couple of times. Hardly polished it either. Shiny still. (Sorry this is long). If you've ever had a problem with cheap plated jewellery or rhodium white gold. My daughter had white gold wedding rings and had also taken one of mine when she was a teenager. Several times including her white Pandora pod pieces she either stripped the coating off after a short time or you could tell she was going to so she stopped wearing them before it was bad. I really believe alot of it comes down to acidity in the skin. I have the Pandora watches that are plated and no problems, they look like new. But I've bought second hand ones and alot of the plating on the back or band is missing where it touched the skin. (Hope this makes sense it's 1am in the morning here lol). Love your video. Thank you so much! 💕💕 I do not use a polishing cloth on Pandora Rose, just a soft cotton cloth!
The Pandora Store in my location now has the machine to clean Rose Gold.

How do you clean the shine collection? My shine bracelet color has changed and I barely use it.
Pandora Shine is very similar to new formula of Pandora Rose! I would recommend cleaning it the same way as Pandora Rose. I would first start cleaning it with a soft (untreated) cloth, then follow the same method in this video! I also recommend keeping it in an airtight, ziplock bag or jewellery box (if you aren't already). This will help it from tarnishing too!!!

Tfs Emily, very interesting! I don’t have that many rose pieces and they might be the newer formula, I’ll have to check. I store all my pieces in ziplock baggies in my jewelry boxes and agree with your cleaning tips, using very soft soap. I have very sensitive skin and use extra soft soap for my skin so I’ve even used that for my pandora, just dipping the soft soap bar in luke warm water a few times to get enough soapy water and then dip my jewelry in there.

Just curious. How has your Pandora rose enchanted crown ring held up? It seems to have a lot of bad reviews of the stones turning blue/green and stones falling out etc. I wanted one bc it’s so pretty but scared to spend the money if it is just not going to hold up well.
All my stones have stayed in place, none have fallen out. I still wear it quite a lot, it’s one of my favourites. It has turned darker, Etc. over time, so the CZs do look darker now because of underneath. When I clean it, it looks better…but it’s not the same as when I originally got it. Has a “darker fairytale” vibe to it now, haha. I’m not sure if they changed the formula for the newer styles of it, but mine was made with the original formula. If they have changed the formula, I feel like the stones wouldn’t change in colour, Etc!

I do own the Light as a Feather pendant. I bought it summer 2018. Not sure which formula I have. It does look like the day I bought it, but I keep it in the rosegold special pouch, then in a zip lock airtight bag. I'll let you know if the color does change.

Did they say when the formula was changed?
That is a great question!!! They didn't give a date, but I will look into it, for us!!! I would assume it's in more recent years. The formula is similar to Pandora Shine.
@fashionstoryteller I was told that shine formula also changed. That happened when I saw that a new ring looked different than my old ones. I think the old ones simply faded , but in the store, they told me it was because of the new formula. Oh, well.

I would never buy another piece from Pandora. Could have gotten a really nice piece of actual gold jewelry for the amount that was spent on the charms and bracelet that now looks like crap. So not worth the money.
Eh. Still not worth it to me. Spending almost $100 on a charm that for sure will eventually look crappy compared to the silver that is easy to maintain with proper care and can last a lifetime.
Sad wish rose gold didnt diminish at all cause it is very pretty.
