Hey guys, we're super excited for the upcoming release of TBC so let us know in the comments if you're interested in seeing more TBC content here on the Skill-Capped channel! 😎
I’d love to see a deep dive into how to make trash tier specs (Outlaw, Demo, Fury...) work in arena. What are their strengths and weaknesses and what would Blizz need to do to buff them. Maybe even give a challenge to your pros to climb with those specs in arena to a certain rating.
Great insightful vids but still playing what I feel is the best melee in TBC, well at least most fun. Death Wish Prot War for HUGE Juicy Shield Slams (made famous by Taith), you are also a utility giant with 6 second dispel from shield slam (good against priest shield, druid Hots) You have 3 stuns, concussion blow, revenge, intercept. You also have a silence and pummel, with disarm/fear which means you can be just outright obnoxious if played well. So it's warrior with control since your Prot and still getting the burst due to shield block value/deathwish.
I'm experimenting something similar but with 2h and mortal strike instead, macestun and stunherald. It's pretty strong in duels, so many stuns and last stand + trinket. I'll try this one you are suggesting too
dont rely on private servers, where ret is min maxed.. u need that BIS gear and weapon to deal serious dmg with your tiwsts. not saying u cant, but its way harder than all other melees

This is a true story: I played sl warlock/resto Druid back in s4 and one night we had a game against a double healer comb resto Druid/disc priest which lastet almost 2 hours!!!! But we finally won. Before the match we said. Yea, one more... after the match it was 4am 🤣👍🏼 still have a screenshot of that!
1. beast mastery hunter (absurd dmg with powerful pet) 2. destro warlock (no need to explain) 3. subtletly rogue (its very annyoing with ''Sap'' and is very powerful)
Really surprised Enhancement made the list lol. Then again it only competes really with Ret Paladin and Feral Druid. So it’s not that surprising I suppose.
@@thomasdaniels6247 way more dmg is wrong. 1. U need to always Twist to do dmg 2. U need better gear than the others 3. U need an excellent Weapon 4. U wont play vs noobs in classic tbc ( and this is the biggest issue )
@S w u do realize that people played bc way after expansion was gone and experienced with every single thing? besides that those guys are rank 1 player every season so i doubt that theyre wrong... but u do u i guess
Hunters should do very well on TBC. I used to play on 2000+ rating with hunter in team (2's). That was on 2.4.3 tho (season3/4), not season1 like it's on classic now. But I still think hunters will be ok.
You like healing too? If so go priest. You want pure dps and that's it go lock. Priest is a really good healer for tbc pve, also shadow is decent in pve. Lock is beast in both of them, but pve rotation is boring. Shadowbolt spam.
@@Ralpo. not to come off as a dick but we are in the comment section of class tier list for PVP. I dont think anyone here cares too much how "fun" their pve rotation is gonna be.
Been contemplating my class choice. Everyone's told me afflic locks are OP as fuck. But being a mage at heart, I wanna pump fire spec. But cant decide haha.
Forget what video it was in but Hunter was dead last every season in TBC by the official stats. Mainly due to dead zone first few seasons and likely the Meta. So in actual TBC Hunter wasn't represented at all. Things are different this time around.
Resto Shamans may be niche healer like he said but for someone like Skill Capped with his 100k+ subs, to not even mentioning the "Shadowplay" comp with R-Shaman is... SP + (UA) Lock + R Shaman even rivals the common meta slaves RMP to a decent degree. Shadowplay 3vs3 is a Gladiator contender, hands down. As for me, being 41yo today (was the odd ball 25yo in Vanilla, most were 9-15) I can't no life the game so playing on PvE server now. Still gonna do some PvP Arena and BGs eventually but that will either be Mage or Rogue I guess.
Warlock is the only heroic class from Vanilla all the way to WLK. I will vote Warlock is the strongest range class in TBC. I remember watch hoodrych's TBC video, he has to sunder armor the warlock first like facing a boss.
Btw what are you talking about? Sunder armor is standard, Hoodrych is actually in this video and sunder armoring everything, priests / rogues, this is what you do with rage in longer games, will be fun facing warriors with Stunherald or Sword extra swing specc oneshotting ppl :S

Ret/Rsham is decent in two's, three's was mostly Ret/War/rdruid or rsham, think druid is generally stronger for 3's. Ret/Rogue/Healer can work but is harder to play.
Ret/sham 2s is good prob will be at its peak in season 3 and 4. Ret/war/rsham and ret/enhance/rdruid are the most fun ret comps in 3s IMO. Both are 2k+ viable and will be at their strongest in the later seasons from my experience

I use to play Mutilate back in the days and it was so fun, but tried it again for experimentation purposes on endless and man it feels much weaker then i remember it to be. People are in general more experienced these days. You are going to be kited to oblivion...it's very VERY niche spec. Only good side or pros aside from many cons is that it is insanely good against Discos and RDruids...especially RDruids, it literally melts them.
hunter is insane in 2v2, little weaker in 3v3, Rdruid/H or you can try disc/h for faster games, with priest tho you will be having much more issues against rogues which ladder will be full of
This guide doesn't really point out that any pet class will wipe the floor against shaman comps due to totem stomping macros. I'm not sure shaman will be even remotely good in a world where there will be locks in pretty much every match.
My own experience with TBC back in the day suggests that you are underestimating just how much of a negative impact resilience has on mages. It directly impacts crit chance and crit damage. Shatter is only a 50% chance to crit, which is lowered by resilience. And when you do get a crit you will be getting less than you "should" without resilience. Then you have to figure in the nova breaking or getting dispelled or trinketed out of. Your pet's nova must be timed correctly to be of any use. Mages are literally a crit dependent class in pvp and resilience directly counteracts that dependency. I would recommend no one play a mage in TBC if they have any arena aspirations. The rest of the guide seems pretty good. Rogues, Priests, and Druids basically dominated from my memory.
Hahaha very funi dude. Your theories are crap. "Don't play mage if u wanna succeed in TBC arena".. roflmao. You'll get shit on by mages, prepare for that. I can't even imagine how many baddies are goin' to jump into tbc arenas. 90% ppl commenting everywhere seems like they never PvPd before lmao. I hope blizzard will make battlegroups again to separate scrubs from actual veterans / skilled youngsters. #BG9 #Cyclone
Hunter is super strong in 2v2. It falls off a bit in 3v3. Probably the best comp is enhance + BM + Disc priest. Hunter + lock + R druid is pretty strong but it’s not an S tier comp. outside of that, most hunter comps are pretty weak in comparison. It is one of the best 2v2 classes though.
@@sleezyclips8068 hunter/disc/Rdruid is very strong, got glad with it in original tbc, with mana pools being small in early seasons you will drain teams so fast

@@joshuaroe1402 PoM Pyro here.
People are sleeping on feral druids
You missed elemental shaman.
Do I play warrior or rogue tough choice
Bard
drain mana isnt new in tbc lol. drain mana is already a thing in classic
Anyone know the song name ?
What about hunters ? :(
hunter is insane in 2v2, little weaker in 3v3, Rdruid/H or you can try disc/h for faster games, with priest tho you will be having much more issues against rogues which ladder will be full of
what about hunters in TBC ?
Amazing, but requires more skill. They destroy rogue/mage teams, but get destroyed by warlocks.
Back when TBC was live Hunters were the most played Class and the least represented in high level arena.
@@NoUploadsEver Dont forget hunters had DEADZONE until patch 2.3
This guide doesn't really point out that any pet class will wipe the floor against shaman comps due to totem stomping macros. I'm not sure shaman will be even remotely good in a world where there will be locks in pretty much every match.
You’re bad... shamans love pet classes because it gives them free mana. Stomping macros are not a big deal totems cost very little mana.
@@Dan-Martin Those are wasted GCDs. You're bad if you think that doesn't matter lmao.
@@shakmaster99 It’s a waste of GCD to tremor a teammate? Drop wf? Lmao what? Yea you’re trash, have fun at 1600! LMAO

About TBC PvP - nova icelance icelance icelance nova icelance icelance icelance win.
Anyone know if you can just pvp for gear ? I can’t remember and I have no interest in doing TBC raiding again. Just pvp 😊
Yeah, grind honor for off pieces, arena for conquest for the main pieces. They will be gated by arena rating though
Back in the day you could, but they are changing it this time. From season 1 arena gear will require rating
2v2 is all about overpowered resto druids
Rogues, Priests, and Druids basically dominated from my memory.
well.. I think u just dont want to play vs mages :D

Thought Hunter would at least get a spot
Hunter is super strong in 2v2. It falls off a bit in 3v3. Probably the best comp is enhance + BM + Disc priest. Hunter + lock + R druid is pretty strong but it’s not an S tier comp. outside of that, most hunter comps are pretty weak in comparison. It is one of the best 2v2 classes though.
@@sleezyclips8068 hunter/disc/Rdruid is very strong, got glad with it in original tbc, with mana pools being small in early seasons you will drain teams so fast
imho its great there isnt any hype about hunters, playstyle of draining is not for everyone but its super fun and you will be getting so many hate whispers lol
@@Skeldaa yeah that’s a playable comp too. Just not as good as warrior/disc/RD. Either way, I actually despise double healer comps existing lol.
No paladin 😢😢😢😢😢
Paladin good! Do you not know the legendary athene!!!!? 😂
Mage or lock or priest it seems this whole xpac
when u insta see rog mage is good u need to vormit cause its free r1 every season
Rogue/mage was never free r1 in tbc and wotlk. They are good but very skill heavy. Most players are uncapable of using them to their full potential.
