Great video! For me, the Omnichord is the instrument that gives "Somewhere down the crazy river" by Robbie Robertson such a distinctive, dreamy atmosphere.
@@mcamporelli Thats where I saw this instrument first....on the video! Of course, I'd love to know what settings and effects he ran it through to achieve that unique dreamy sound.
Hi! I’m glad I found your video. I am the proud new owner of a pristine OM-84 that came in a hard case with this amazing starship space booklet instructions. It belonged to my grandmother who played gospel music. She sang, played piano, organ, accordion, keyboards and the Omnichord.
Born, raised, and still living in Wyoming. Currently work with an afterschool program for a Big Brothers Big Sisters location in Wyoming. Was in the music room today with some youth and came across a Suzuki Omnichord System 100. Never seen or heard of one before. So here I am, after work, looking it up and your video came up! So funny to come across a video about one from someone living in Wyoming haha
I liked and I subscribed. The ending was beautiful with the editing and playing of this amazing instrument. Thank you for uploading such quality content!
Last Saturday i discovered an OM 27 in a charity shop by chance. I dropped in as they had a few old guitar pedals in the window and also a brown case and low and behold there it was. I bought the OM 27 for £5.00, the batteries cost me more!!!!!
I love these! The first time i daw/used one was back in 1982-1984 a friends mother got it for Christmas because she played the autoharp. Yoi should see if folktech is still modding them, becaise they make them much better
Robbie Robertson used the Omnichord in his song, "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" from his first album, "Robbie Robertson". It was given to him by Brian Eno.
I'd love to play an instrument like this - that's based around selecting a chord and sliding around in it! but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars. I'm less interested in it's ability to play background beats, or in it's relation to the history of electronic instruments (although that is very valid). Is anyone else making an instrument like this? I'm not even really sure how to search around for it...
Do you remember the first time you heard or saw an Omnichord? What’s your favorite song that uses it?

I just found out about the Omnichord yesterday! I had no idea The Gorillaz used the rock preset on their track 'Clint Eastwood'! Totally rad!

Wouldn’t it be cool if the omnichord had a midi out so you could play your other synths with it?
I know the latest $800 one does! OM-108.
@@Tiger.ArcadeHey! waiting on mine to arrive now soon, do you know if the new one can connect to a guitar amp through a 3.5mm to a 6.35mm aux chord?

Score! Kick myself for selling one 20 years ago
...three more set of chords F#,C#,G# would make it completed the whole scale...
Yeah that’s probably the biggest limitation tbh.
