3 stacks and a rock! Met my wife there and Spent a lot of time there but never saw it from the air. Lots of good food, nice people and outdoor activities to do there. We still visit from time to time. Thanks for the aerial tour 😊
Big Sur has to be one of the most beautiful areas in the world. I can't think of anywhere more stunning. Thanks for holding me over until I can visit again! Awesome video.
I drove from San Diego to San Francisco in 2016. Originally, just wanted to drive to LA and watch Wye Oak, decided to do a road trip I always wanted as a kid. Big Sur was definitely a highlight from that trip.
IF you come here , this is an all day trip, Carmel to San Luis Obispo. It is Absolutely worth the people And the time !! Just Do It ! You will never forget it.
I’ve been watching your videos for a while I didn’t know you flew, but this is exactly the area I want to see that’s on my bucket list-for when I rent a convertible and drive down the coastal highway. Thanks for the video and may and your family have safe travels!
Big fire in Big Sur last night. Either farther up or not when you were there. Went through there many times when younger. Lived near there, too (Watsonville, Santa Cruz, South San Francisco (dad in Navy).
Nice scenery of Highway 1, Micah! Who knows when your next helicopter might upgrade from an R44 to an R66; that would be your next big thing to have on UA-cam! So far, your scenery of California from up in the air seems to have the latest point of view that I believe few people on UA-cam would ever see other than news broadcasts. I am looking forward to your next adventures on your UA-cam channel and on social media (when applicable). However, regarding the Big Sur area you did film, I think this was along California highway 1 prior to the fire (dubbed the “Colorado fire”) that did put the Bixby Bridge in jeopardy and shut down highway 1; it made national headlines and even local TV station KSBW (online/on UA-cam; station itself is owned by Hearst) in particular did have to broadcast critical information that kept them very busy (they do have weekend AM/PM news as do all Hearst-owned stations and are streamed online and on demand).
Micah, I know you didn't cover it in this video but Carmel is easily one of my most favorite places in the world. Hanging out on that beach with the iconic golf course to the north and dogs everywhere because they're allowed on that beach.... ahh what a great part of the world.
Thank you for making these videos. As I have told you before I doubt I will ever see an ocean, beach or California at least I get to live through your eyes and flights. I am forever grateful!
Those "estates" at 2:22, which you already figured out, is the Esalen Institute, named in honour of the Esleen Indians of the surrounding area. I had the great opportunity to spend a summer there as a work study scholar; it was truly a life changing experience. One of the very few times in my life where I felt whole. Ps: I drove all the way from Vancouver Canada, down the coast and to Esalen. Stunning! Also, the best spots are: Julia Pfiffer state park, Nacimiento State park and lunch stop at Nepenthe!!
Very very cool video. Love flying in helicopters. You guys are blessed for sure. Hope to visit Big Sur one day. We did drive up to Santa Barbara Harbor during our Christmas visit.
Great video! Can’t wait to see the one from above Monterey. I’ve been watching your helicopter videos for a long time and I was surprised to see that your car videos actually get way more viewers I’ve never watched one.
It’s true. Our car videos are much more popular but we love flying and sharing those experiences here. So we’ll keep making the helicopter videos. Thanks for watching!
I was just thinking of an amazing midnight hot tub lecture at the Esalen Institute in the nineties…what I’d give to have that footage on Micah 🚁 Vision! 👑
Fantastic! I've driven down the "1" before, but this is a whole new perspective...Such an iconic drive. Thank you for the great ride! Love your channel and your family!
At 6:00, as you flew over Pfeiffer Beach, you also flew over the Waterfall ! If you would have done a 180, you would see the falls and the Hole in the rock off the beach. Great Flight . WE don't fly there because there are NO outs , just in case. Last time I went to L.A. I took my '73 VW Bus down "Highway One', not 'the 1' (btw).
Micah at point sur there is the abandoned “point sur naval facility. It was the site of a under water sound surveillance system. Used to track Soviet submarines in the pacific. 15 families & a housing area. Interesting & it’s owned now by the state now.
If you fly east just the other side of the mountain ridge there are absolutely pristine wooded areas that experiencing is like going back in time. Likely with the helicopter you would need to fly through a pass and not over the ridge. I pristine area I experienced was on a military base or reservation.
it would be cool if you could add i n a little flight map so we can see what area exactly you are flying over. I love these videos though. keep em coming given it makes sense financially lol, lord knows it isn't cheap to do these.
Great video again thanks. We've driven that road many times, Nice to see it from a different perspective. Hopefully we can do it again this September if things keep improving. 🏴🇺🇲
Hey I drive a Volkswagen van imma major offended....lol mines a Caddy van and I drive it like I stole it. All good I'm sure you were talking about Kombi T1 but it's the caravans that slow traffic. Nice flight thanks Micah and the fam. Long time follower 2nd comment ever love your channel for the flights.
Been to the Far East, Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Central America. Big Sur might be the best place on Earth and likely the Milky Way galaxy as well.
It’s closed near the Bixby Bridge right now due to an active wildfire (If you search online there are some impressive photos of the bridge surrounded by flames), but otherwise it’s all open as far as I know.
Hey, Micah! Just a little off topic. My youngest son and his family live in Hermosa Beach and he's getting ready to choose a flight school for fixed wing private pilot. Already had his medical. Got any LA area recommendations for fixed wing flight schoolin'? Always enjoy your flights! Thank you.
Howdy, buzz! A: It is very cool that your son is pursuing his private pilot goal. Please give him a hi5 on my behalf. B: I really am a dedicated rotary wing guy. I have absolutely zero knowledge of fixed wing schools. Sorry I’m not able to help. But if I come across any good recommendations I’ll be sure to share.
#MicahMuzio from reviewing cars to showing of California in helicopters, I really enjoy your videos. BTW, which helicopter are you flying in this video?
He has to be a thousand feet up , does the military follow that rule , because we were at limekiln beach one day and a fighter jet was like about 100 feet on top of us I kid you not , so pissed off

I love these helicopter videos. You really know how to show off California.
We appreciate you watching, Dave!
Hearst Castle is always spectacular. Not to far off from where yall were flying !
Ooh. I think you’ll like the video we’ve got coming soon.
I've driven almost all of the coast highway, but in pieces over the years. I love it!
Big Sur has to be one of the most beautiful areas in the world. I can't think of anywhere more stunning. Thanks for holding me over until I can visit again! Awesome video.

Big Sur and the Bixby Creek Bridge bring back fond memories of my 2014 road trip. Absolutely stunning area. Greetings from London.
I’ve never been to California but wow. This make me happy. That coastline is absolutely gorgeous. I love this video

I just saw that. Big Sur can't catch a break. We actually shot this at the end of last year. I wonder how it looks post fire.
Used to live in Aptos California..north of big sur .....loved it there.

Love Big Sur! Isn’t there a fire burning near Bixby Bridge right now? I’m assuming you guys got to enjoy this before that all happened
You are correct on all counts. Hopefully the fire damage is minimal.🤞
I LOVE California and I love you and I love you're channel! You really make beautiful video's that show the best of this incredible state!
You're very kind. Cheers, gizzykat!
It is very sad on what is happening at big sur Great video as always. Big hugs Muzio family
are you talking about the fires ?
Was just there. Awesome drive form Big Sur to Santa Barbara. Then many great stops to see the water to Malibu. Thanks for showing a different view!
Okay Micah, love the fly along big Sur. You know you could’ve flown under the Bixby Bridge as a finale.
We drove from San Francisco to San Diego 2018! and it was Amazing! We drove almoast the hoole way exept a detour around a land slide! Amazing!
I Love these videos!!!! I am so glad the whole family can go.

On my 2017 driving tour of PCH I missed this part due to a landslide, so thank you for the aerial tour!

Monterey! It has Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium, great restaurants! Fun spot, lots to do.

recently, portions of PCH close to Bixby Bridge were on fire; that house along the cliff was Tony Stark's house ...
Fantastic! I've driven down the "1" before, but this is a whole new perspective...Such an iconic drive. Thank you for the great ride! Love your channel and your family!
Wow! One of my favorite videos so far. Thanks for the fun facts as well Evie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Micha! Love these videos with your sweetie and daughter!

Micah and Evie. That was a rad flight. Looking forward to more rides in the air and on the ground.
Beautiful!
Great video of a special flight!

Enjoyable video. I'm also over in the UK. Sad to hear about the wildfire in the area. I expect your flight was a day or two before the fire.
Have driven this a couple times now. A great stop is Cafe Kevah - the views are amazing (though maybe not quite up there with the 🚁 )
So cool 😎
I still gave hi fives. 😜
Thank you for your videos!
I love your old quote "I can't afford to live there, but I CAN afford to annoy the people who do"!

I drove from SF to San Diego down Highway 1 over two weeks when I got married. It was a magical trip.

I'm inclined to agree. :)
*what's the story with that pink censor bird on your screen ?, i don't get it*
Any chance of doing Carmel and 17 mile drive ?
I would love to see fly above my town in LA County
I go to Pfeiffer big sure sate park when I go to big sure a nice park with redwood trees
which will be you next helicopter after this one
If the rock slides are still there would love to see that
Nice thanks from Bangladesh

is the stretch from Moro Bay to Monterey open through, or are parts of it still closed?

Micah can you fly over all the trash on the rail roads -where all the train robberies are.
I know all of this area very well. My mother's ashes are under Bixby bridge
4:47 how did they even build a house on that? makes no sense
Now it’s on fire
