Actually Limelight is not that good of a name because when you search up “LIMELIGHT” another thing shows up first. That’s why they needed to change the name since there is already something called LIMELIGHT.
The most confusing part for me, is that limelight MVs were just fine and the management probably had more than enough time to plan a good concept for the actual group. It looks as if they used all money for limelight and there's nothing left Madein.
The girl group market right now is saturated by hybe and big3 girl groups and Kiof is basically a miracle success. Tbh even Kepler is struggling so it’s quite selfish of the company to pull Yeseo and Mashiro out of kepler for this group. It’s a Gugudan scenario waiting to happen

Thing is, even if 143 had bills to pay, they get a cut from the profit of Kep1er, every company behind every member of Kep1er gets a big cut of the Kep1er sales and merch profit. All they had to do was keep YeShiro in Kep1er and take that money.

Honestly idc if 143 had plans, if they wanted to stay in Kep1er they should’ve, but to take them out and rush their debut with these AI scenes is just insulting to them.
I don't think they wanted to take them out of kep1er, they took them out for their own benefit which is totally respectable because they are their artists for a reason, but I think they should have planned it better or waited a bit, they didn't have to debut as soon as they left the group, they could have waited a bit longer 😟

Eye To Eye MV was literally shot on one location, with only the three members & an actor who is on the same label as them, barely an outfit change, barely any effects done on set, & yet it's still look leagues better than UNO MV. It's as if they rushily slapped together bunch of random shots & AI-generated clips into an editing software just hours before the release.
I actually like the song. It gives me Loona vibes. I don't care that much about the MV because, for me, the music is more important. And Kep1er is still there. I think it was the best move to remove Mashiro and Yeseo from the group since Kep1er will probably be completely forgotten by WakeOne because of izna.

I didn't really like the name 'madein' because it wasn't unique and hard to find right away on Google, but when I saw the mv with these AI images I was just shocked, like why would a company do something like that? It was so cheap and poor. These girls deserved better

I loved Uno. I just hated weird and beginner level the MV looked compared to Limelights. It's like Limelight switched companies or something. I'm not the one to care about Mv's if the company is small and trying but if they can produce good Mv's having a good budget, but make it look like a small company with no budget? Some of the scenes looked like those transition effects you get by default on phone editors 💀
that's what I think! the music videos I've seen from limelight are simple but beautiful and easy to watch, the problem is not the budget but how you use the budget, at this point I feel that a music video with two scenarios that serve as dance scenes and a simple set for each member would have been better than that!

Limelight had the pre-debut MV with Eye To Eye in an open space outdoor location and did a better job with a realistic MV than this.

The members are really talented and the songs seem good but I Really really hate the fact that they used AI. If you don't know, AI Images are created by stealing from artists, without their permission or anything. And it just makes me mad. Tho Not having the budget for the mv is understandable, I still don't like or think can justify them using AI

I don't get this "re-branded group", Limelight never needed to be "re-branded" and had TONS of potential. They already had 3 amazing girls with insane vocals and visuals. Their lazy ass agency just can't promote them properly.
i honestly watched this mv because i found out about this being the group with the two ex kep1er members so i was interested. it looked pretty cheap from the very beggining, but i gave them some grace, i am an enjoyer of nugu groups so i dont judge too much on that. but the badly done powerpoint looking transitions and the weirdly done shots were so distracting i wasnt even focusing on the song - and then the AI segments came up and I was just floored. as an artist myself I am an avid AI hater, if they had just hired an editor they couldve gotten a much better end result. the AI parts just frankly look like shit and dont even fit at all with the rest of the video. I would be mad if I was one of the members and they used my face for that, also because of the current problem south korea has with the tons of nsfw deepfake videos being made and shared of idols that use AI technology as well... it was just an awful decision all around.

the song is honestly really cute, especially the instrumental. but the mv is so messy. with all the ai parts and the choppy transitions. the parts on the grass field, in front of the pink wall and in the library were fine, but those ai parts are just insanely bad

makes sense since japan is where kep1er's biggest & most loyal fan base is and mashiro i think is by far the most popular kep1er member in japan as she even got a couple of endorsement deals in her home country so i definitely can imagine why the company would focus a lot on japan early on as the group will have their first major public event with a two day concert in japan early in october ... heck 4 out of the 7 members are japanese with only 3 korean members too which you rarely see from a kpop group having more non korean members in it
i was with it until the ai started... then i was just disappointed :( also i don't know if this is just me, but some of the girls barely got screen time in the mv? mashiro and yeseo seemed to be the "stars" of the mv, which i understand from a marketing perspective bc they're most likely the two members people already know. however, i felt like i hardly saw the other girls. gaeun had one solo scene outside of the ai parts, if i recall correctly? and serina and nagomi i feel like i BARELY saw. (could just be me not remembering correctly) also mashiro and yeseo getting their own duet song on the album. i am not opposed to it at all, however, i feel like their company is trying to single them out and make them the two most popular members. this is a GROUP. they didn't re-debut yeshiro as a duo. they re-debuted them in a group of 7. i feel like if 143 keeps putting them in the spotlight, they're gonna get favoritism accusations. i want ALL the girls to get a chance to shine. i love yeshiro, but i want to see miu, suhye, gaeun, serina, and nagomi, too.

The transitions were horrid. SO HORRID. I’ve rewatched the MV like 4 times and noticed a scene where they did a zoom out transition and you can tell on the edges that it blurs SO UNEVENLY it looks horrible. Idek what happened. Who approved this. The typography is ugly.

I think the edited at the last moment because the mv release was delayed. They had saome issues with the mv that's why it was delayed and was edited like that

at first i was iffy about the rebrand of the group name until someone mentioned that it sounds like “maiden” which is kinda cute. the debut wasn’t really bad tbh, although i don’t really like how half of the mv involves ai. a moot of mine said they will release a mv version without ai (or it could just be a performance video). and literally about the hard to find when searching their name, i looked it up on spotify multiple times in 2 days in a row on spotify and it would never show up, it would just show up limelight. i ended up looking up “madein playlist” and found the new album there 😭
I personally love the group and the album so much. I've had it on repeat and I love dopamine! The MV is terrible and the use of AI is so icky. And there was someone in the comments justifying it. New jeans' hurt music video proves that an MV doesn't have to be expensive to be pretty. they had no reason to make something like that. I won't be rewatching. They have confirmed that they will be releasing an AI free version so I hope that that's better! And there was almost no promo! They could've done so much better! And they won't be going on music shows for a while too so the song will fly under the radar. I loved limelights music, and I never stanned kep1er but I'll still support them. They have potential but the company needs to do better seriously!

I, of course, agree about the music video. It is horrible, and I have never ever seen a cheaper M/V in K-Pop. I like all of the songs from the album, UNO, and Timeline, especially. I feel bad for Yeseo and Mashiro because I'm a huge Kep1er fan, and Yeseo is my bias. Their promotion is so bad that I even forgot that YeShiro are going to LIMELIGHT, and when I saw it, I was so disappointed. I just feel bad that these talented girls are getting treated like that. I also don't understand how this M/V is much cheaper than previous LIMELIGHT M/V's. I guess they wasted everything on LIMELIGHT... I was glad for YeShiro to leave WakeOne because they're a horrible company, but I didn't expect them to go to even worse. Anyway, I hope their first comeback will at least be below average
I personally like "Uno". It gives me loona vibes and I'm here for it 🤭 The other songs in the album are not that bad either. However the MV had me pretty upset. Was really looking forward to this debut because I'm already a predebut limelight stan and I love yeshiro as well! Nagomi and Serina are a bit new to me as I didn't watch that survival show. I'm not sure about their usual budget as limelight but atleast the previous MVs had good transitions and the sets were also pretty cute. Not quite sure what 143 ent. was going for this time... I hope this doesn't really affect the fandom. Many people were looking forward to this debut, I'm sure many might've changed their mind about stanning even though the girls are very talented.

The problem here is everything else, from the name of the group, to the AI in the video, that's where most of the problems are, in the management and in the marketing of this group. Like you can't even find this group on Spotify because of the name that they have. 🤦♂
The song was decent. Dadarida was much better of a song though.. The mv is what sucked. Also, changing the name of the group was a bad idea. Limelight was just a better name.

Not to be rude but I feel like this is just another example of Kpop fans being extremely picky and I’ll break it down. Video-After watching the video and reading the rough lyric translation, some of the videos imagery(AI and physically filmed) is a direct nod towards the lyrics. So the random flowers are because the lyric is “lookin like flowers to me”, the “cheap” firework effect is because the lyric is “the rising firework”. The editing choices could be different but for an agency that is relatively small this is ok. Song- it’s a good song but blame the other kpop fandoms/agencies that have popularized the Y2K sound and aesthetic. In a sea of groups that have been doing it nearly 3 years now, it doesn’t feel original anymore and that’s why it’s essentially forgettable. Kep1er- can we as a collective, please stop with this narrative that Kep1er was this big group? One day y’all like them and the other day you don’t. The numbers and the COUNTLESS UA-cam videos show the netizens disappointment in that group. if Yeseo and Mashiro stayed in the group(which is the first time a SUCCESSFUL contract renewal has happened for a project group)who’s to say that their activities would’ve actually improved or continued? It’s smart if you think about it. Rebrand an already established team, add “popular” members from a highly publicized team and 2 sought after trainees from a popular show. The only thing overall that I find a “problem” is that it looks like 143 rushed this. Given we don’t know exactly how long the group was able to train together, Yeseo and Mashiro essentially had like 2 or 3 months to prepare themselves for a redebut. They didn’t have enough time to process leaving Kep1er and becoming members of MADEIN
I think Kpop fans are demanding in some aspects, but I don’t think this is an example of that. It doesn’t matter if the flowers have meaning according to what the lyrics say; they just look bad. The issue isn’t that they added flowers, but the timing of their appearance, where they are in the song, and what comes before and after... I feel the same way about the fireworks; it’s not necessary for everything in the lyrics to be shown in the music video, especially when it looks cheap. The song is relatively okay, though I think the B-sides are much better in my opinion. And I’ve never said that Kep1er was a great group; in fact, I have videos from months ago where I said they should disband once their contract ended. I support the departure of the two members. As for taking Limelight and putting the two Kep1er members in the group, I’m not sure if it’s as smart as you say because now they’ve lost Limelight, which was a nugu group but could have brought in some profits. They’ve lost that group by betting on one that hasn’t started off well.

What I find interesting is that the narrative shifted in the months leading to Shooting Star. it was so many think pieces about how The team could be better or why they should disband prior to the discussion of the contract negotiations. Once it was clear Kep1er would continue promoting as OT7 and Yeseo & Mashiro would be leaving, it was the sudden flood of “Keep Kep1er OT9 or none at all” as if those people truly cared or supported that group. I just think it’s phony. As for the marketing aspect, it can both be smart or backfire to put established members into a nugu situation. It can be smart because those fans of Kep1er AND Limelight who like those members can still follow up with them. It can backfire because they could overshadow the other members like we’ve seen with Suzy/Miss A, Hyuna/4Minute, Soyeon/GIdle and Sejeong/Gugudan. All of that to say, this is a new debut. I know we’re all gonna have our opinions about it but for a small, non Big 4 group - I don’t expect much. I’m just hoping that they iron out the kinks for the comeback whenever it comes and that it’s well planned out instead of fans being offered a rough and rushed job

First impression matters. People tend to latch onto the first information they got. Fans who already supported them since their LimeLight day might be a little forgiving, but most of the others came from another fandom, & the UNO MV was their first impression of the group as a whole. If the MV needs to be re-edited, then the MV wasn't ready to be released in the first place. They should've delayed the MV release.

I think it was the best move to remove Mashiro and Yeseo from the group since Kep1er will probably be completely forgotten by WakeOne because of izna.

I loved Uno. I just hated weird and beginner level the MV looked compared to Limelights. It's like Limelight switched companies or something. I'm not the one to care about Mv's if the company is small and trying but if they can produce good Mv's having a good budget, but make it look like a small company with no budget? If you don't know, AI Images are created by stealing from artists, without their permission or anything. And it just makes me mad. i honestly watched this mv because i found out about this being the group with the two ex kep1er members so i was interested. it looked pretty cheap from the very beggining, but i gave them some grace, i am an enjoyer of nugu groups so i dont judge too much on that. but the badly done powerpoint looking transitions and the weirdly done shots were so distracting i wasnt even focusing on the song - and then the AI segments came up and I was just floored. as an artist myself I am an avid AI hater, if they had just hired an editor they couldve gotten a much better end result. the AI parts just frankly look like shit and dont even fit at all with the rest of the video. I would be mad if I was one of the members and they used my face for that, also because of the current problem south korea has with the tons of nsfw deepfake videos being made and shared of idols that use AI technology as well... it was just an awful decision all around.

I personally love the group and the album so much. I've had it on repeat and I love dopamine! The MV is terrible and the use of AI is so icky. And there was someone in the comments justifying it. New jeans' hurt music video proves that an MV doesn't have to be expensive to be pretty. they had no reason to make something like that. I won't be rewatching. They have confirmed that they will be releasing an AI free version so I hope that that's better! And there was almost no promo! They could've done so much better! And they won't be going on music shows for a while too so the song will fly under the radar. I loved limelights music, and I never stanned kep1er but I'll still support them. They have potential but the company needs to do better seriously!

I, of course, agree about the music video. It is horrible, and I have never ever seen a cheaper M/V in K-Pop. I like all of the songs from the album, UNO, and Timeline, especially. Their promotion is so bad that I even forgot that YeShiro are going to LIMELIGHT, and when I saw it, I was so disappointed. I just feel bad that these talented girls are getting treated like that. Not to be rude but I feel like this is just another example of Kpop fans being extremely picky and I’ll break it down.
Video-After watching the video and reading the rough lyric translation, some of the videos imagery(AI and physically filmed) is a direct nod towards the lyrics. So the random flowers are because the lyric is “lookin like flowers to me”, the “cheap” firework effect is because the lyric is “the rising firework”. The editing choices could be different but for an agency that is relatively small this is ok.
Song- it’s a good song but blame the other kpop fandoms/agencies that have popularized the Y2K sound and aesthetic. In a sea of groups that have been doing it nearly 3 years now, it doesn’t feel original anymore and that’s why it’s essentially forgettable.
Kep1er- can we as a collective, please stop with this narrative that Kep1er was this big group? One day y’all like them and the other day you don’t. The numbers and the COUNTLESS UA-cam videos show the netizens disappointment in that group. if Yeseo and Mashiro stayed in the group(which is the first time a SUCCESSFUL contract renewal has happened for a project group)who’s to say that their activities would’ve actually improved or continued? It’s smart if you think about it. Rebrand an already established team, add “popular” members from a highly publicized team and 2 sought after trainees from a popular show.
The only thing overall that I find a “problem” is that it looks like 143 rushed this. Given we don’t know exactly how long the group was able to train together, Yeseo and Mashiro essentially had like 2 or 3 months to prepare themselves for a redebut. They didn’t have enough time to process leaving Kep1er and becoming members of MADEIN
I think Kpop fans are demanding in some aspects, but I don’t think this is an example of that. It doesn’t matter if the flowers have meaning according to what the lyrics say; they just look bad. The issue isn’t that they added flowers, but the timing of their appearance, where they are in the song, and what comes before and after... I feel the same way about the fireworks; it’s not necessary for everything in the lyrics to be shown in the music video, especially when it looks cheap. The song is relatively okay, though I think the B-sides are much better in my opinion. And I’ve never said that Kep1er was a great group; in fact, I have videos from months ago where I said they should disband once their contract ended. I support the departure of the two members. As for taking Limelight and putting the two Kep1er members in the group, I’m not sure if it’s as smart as you say because now they’ve lost Limelight, which was a nugu group but could have brought in some profits. They’ve lost that group by betting on one that hasn’t started off well.

For example, pointing out the font being plain versus it being the company logo or the members not being centered in the shot. those are things that I found to be picking just to pick, which I don’t think was the intention.

I didn’t see your Kep1er videos, unfortunately, so I can’t talk about your personal opinion on them. I HAVE seen other netizens & UA-camrs talk about the groups lackluster sales, mediocre promotion and overall decline in popularity since WADADA. What I find interesting is that the narrative shifted in the months leading to Shooting Star. it was so many think pieces about how The team could be better or why they should disband prior to the discussion of the contract negotiations. Once it was clear Kep1er would continue promoting as OT7 and Yeseo & Mashiro would be leaving, it was the sudden flood of “Keep Kep1er OT9 or none at all” as if those people truly cared or supported that group. I just think it’s phony.
As for the marketing aspect, it can both be smart or backfire to put established members into a nugu situation. It can be smart because those fans of Kep1er AND Limelight who like those members can still follow up with them. It can backfire because they could overshadow the other members like we’ve seen with Suzy/Miss A, Hyuna/4Minute, Soyeon/GIdle and Sejeong/Gugudan.
All of that to say, this is a new debut. I know we’re all gonna have our opinions about it but for a small, non Big 4 group - I don’t expect much. I’m just hoping that they iron out the kinks for the comeback whenever it comes and that it’s well planned out instead of fans being offered a rough and rushed job

First impression matters.
People tend to latch onto the first information they got. Fans who already supported them since their LimeLight day might be a little forgiving, but most of the others came from another fandom, & the UNO MV was their first impression of the group as a whole. If the MV needs to be re-edited, then the MV wasn't ready to be released in the first place. They should've delayed the MV release.

As a LIMELIGHT fan, i don't like the mv with ai and disappointed with the song that follow y2k trend with similar sound like newjeans and illit when limelight had their own sound with their identity that i love! I love so much Limelight's song but disappointed with that! I don't like the add of so many members with less screen time and lines for the original 3 members and the company focus on yeshiro and with already their duet, i hate that, i don't hate yeshiro but don't love them and i have my biais in limelight, the 3 original members
yeahh that's so sad, i don't know where i read it, but some people say that limelight is not disbanded in itself, but now it's just a madein's subunit, so maybe they release more music in the future 😖

i just don’t understand rebranding the group as madein instead of just adding the members to limelight 😭 it’s not like they got into some major controversy and had to change their name and their lineup to be taken seriously?!? like rania and blackswan. like sometimes a rebrand is completely fine and almost necessary. changing to madein from limelight just doesn’t make sense to me. limelight went with their vibe/aesthetic/concept and i just really liked the name for a girls group. madein sounds like illit, or kep1er, or any other of these stupid and ridiculous new gen group names.

No one in kep1er has the popularity of to make people talk about them they should have stayed ot9. Whats worse is that 143 put them in such an uninteresting group. The other companies made a smart move. Keeping the members in kep1er gives them spotlight. Its impossible for some of the members to have a successful career after kep1er. And what does 143? Puts yeshiro in uninteresting renamed nugu group. Great job
i think there are members who could even make a solo career because of their popularity, like bahiyyih, yujin or xiaoting. but yes, the company has put mashiro and yeseo in such a flat group? i don't know if that's the right word but that's how i feel. although i understand why they took them out of kep1er as i explained in the video

Give them some time for f*cksake! the MV is not all bad, just the AI part is bad and the CEO already apologizing and will revise the MV. The girls work hard for their debut, don't descending their hardwork and effort by talking trash on their debut solely from the MV. Their song in their debut EP is all good and interesting. They even let Mashiro and Yeseo wrote the lyrics for the Yeshiro song (Timeline).

- i don't really like the songs from this album. for me limelight's songs are still better than this.
- i think 7 months is enough to release a new song. limelight even releases new songs after 5 months, the songs and mv are good. i don't know why 143 didn't give the same energy for madein's debut.
- i prefer they spend more money for the song rather than the mv. a good song is important. mv doesn't need to be high budget as long as it is decent.
