Interesting. I went with the GT because I have all the options, with the exception of Heads Up Display. The only thing I really hate is the gloss black because it's a fingerprint a dust magnet, and I hate how they nickel and dime on options that should simply be included for the price. For example, why am I paying $400 for a surround-view camera when that should just be standard? Also, the $200 traffic sign recognition was standard on all trims of the Ghibli and the Levante, but it becomes an option on the Grecale. It's just very annoying. Maserati really made a mess of the options and trims, and I really hope they get it together in future iterations of the vehicle. The fact that you have Active Lane Management and Active Drive Assist, which are not one comprehensive package is crazy. I should say this is my 6th Maserati (2 Ghiblis and 3 Levante's before this), and I find their spec approach to be stupid for the Grecale. Fit and finish have improved, which I think we have to owe to them maybe listening to more of their customers of time and I have not experienced the quality issues people always associated with Maserati; only 1 of the Ghibli's had issues in the beginning where it was in the shop for 21 days but outside of that never experience a single issue. I hear some people saying their Grecale has been in the shop since day one of purchasing. I am so glad I am not having that issue but its year 1 of a new vehicle so I expect there to be bugs that need to be worked out. I agree with the horsepower thing. I feel that the power that comes on the Modena should have been introduced on the GT, and the Modena should actually be around 380hp - 400 hp. It's not saying the vehicle is underpowered, but you do get the sense that if the horsepower had been tuned 30-40 more, it would be a sweet spot. It still has more base horsepower than the competition, but honestly, that's no excuse. So will my 6th Maserati be my last? I really can't say. I have driven Porsche and BMW, and honestly, I still come back to the Maserati. People can see a Porsche next to a Maserati, and they ask questions and acknowledge the Maserati long before the Porsche. It's like Porsche is the expected vehicle, and Maserati is the rare unicorn. The trident commands attention. I am sure there are some people that will roll their eyes at me saying that, but it's from my personal view and having been in this situation countless times. I have friends with Macans and Cayennes, and when next to each other, attention and questions were always directed toward the Maserati. Its always parked up front when I valet, which is why I really don't want them selling too many Maserati's because I fear it will lose this elusive unicorn attention.
Have you had any issues? My ex also has the Modena trim also, 4 months in and no issues so far. I love theirs and am thinking about getting one. I like nice cars but have never spent that much on a car so I am hesitant. While I can afford it, its still double what my current car cost. I see slot of people on the forums talking about having issues. I would hate to spend that much and regret it.
The Porsche is tighter on the corners but power is close on the base trims. The GT has some turbo lag and both red line fast. The Trofeo is better than the GTS overall. The Modena is a little better but once you go to the high 80’s to near 90k go to Trofeo you will be happier.
I appreciate it. I assume the Porsche holds its value better. I am deciding between the Porsche base with options totaling 70K vs this suv. The fact that stellantis makes it makes me kind of iffy
@@robertcastillo5210 the Porsche will hold its value better unless you get the Maserati with every feature which might be hard to find on the lot. I know Maserati has been offering bigger discounts but it will hurt you for resale value (I’m on my 2nd, not a Grecale). The Grecale has more inside room and the sound system is better than Porsche. I know Porsche isn’t selling a lot right now too so I think both you will get a great deal. The only other point is the Maserati will be less for service.
@@ziyadali8968 the amg glc43 is quicker by .6 sec to sixty and 89 hp more for around the same price. I like Maserati but even the Modena will still be slower with less hp. This trim the Trofeo is what I would buy because of the MC20 engine but now it’s over 100k which makes the Benz my pick due to value in the 60-70k price.
I have the Modena trim, I am loving it - I test drove both GT and Modena. GT base does not even have the safety feature like blind spot.
🎉 it’s a nice vehicle as for the safety you can option these features 👍

How does compare drive wise with the macan ?
