@@karonyart that is wild!! I just tried it out and it wasn't the best sharpening I've ever done but it would do in a pinch. Thank you for sharing that 😊

I just ordered two Moyao sketchbooks. One claimed to be cotton the other not. I am not sure what paper is in there but it took watercolor which is 90% of the battle won. Not a lot of reviews on them out there, but chiming in they're a good cheap everyday mixed media option. Also the binding can't be beat. Lays flat with no effort. Oddly enough the one you are using was not sold as cotton but it feels like it could be. The one I bought that was sold as cotton feels like good cellulose mixed media paper with one side slightly toothier than the other.
@@alejandromorales9516 glad to hear I'm not the only one who discovered them to be good! It really seems like the perfect paper for people who like to experiment with wet and dry media. I just compared a bunch of materials between pith and moyao and the moyao was much more vibrant and materials laid down smoothly, and the pages don't buckle nearly as much as pith (which is only 220gsm). Also, the price can't be beat!
Really enjoyed seeing you choose your art supplies and the swatching. Many on my shopping list now.
@@Arohanui128 I hope you enjoy :)
Nice choice of color for your travel supplies.
Thank you! They worked well in the end.
Ombra di Cipro sounds like shadow of Cyprus.
@@Arohanui128 omg, yes! Thank you for sharing that.
Perhaps you know this already, but just in case. The top of the Koh i noor versatil can be unscrewed and there's a little led sharpener :)

surprised you don't have a red but nice choice of color
I did have vermilion in my ESSEE palette, but I didn't end up using it anyways!
