Wow, very inspiring. Workshop paintings are great but also your plein air work. Also, great video. Looks like you might just be getting started and your content is well done. Articulate, love the side comments....keep going. I found you because of your review and swatching of agallo paints. About to start traveling and appreciate your comments about hating to mix when plein air. Refreshingly honest and pushed me to get a 24 instead of a 12. Thanks for the link to the blue pallet box and magnet. I subscribed. Look forward to the next video.
@@gailmcglamery6152 I really appreciate your comment! I am sure color mixing isn't so challenging once you get used to it, but nature brought us hundreds of pigments so my perspective is, why just use 3 when you can use 20? 😂
Great video and very clear motivation for continuing practice. I think you did brilliantly to get out and sketch - weather and crowds are tough to manage. Your sketches are very evocative of the scenes. Sorry you had the experience of the fine on the bus - that was very unfair of them as there are many glitches with that system and it would have been clear to them that that was the case with you. Your flowers from the watercolour workshop are stunning.
awe im so sorry that happened to you on the bus! Ive felt that way before in a similar high and low situation! hugs!! beautiful work! happy to have found your channel! I am very into watercolor and urban sketching and florals!
3:55 fantastic point. When I read comments that say "you're so naturally talented...", I think the total opposite. I think the Artist wanted to succeed and they put in the time and effort. Some go to school and some don't. But I think when you see Janet, you see years of dedication, tons of failures and tears too.... So yes, all that to say you shared a great pov. 😅
Absolutely! Time, effort, hard work, mistakes, failure, and tedium are all part of improving at any endeavor. Others mistake it for talent because an artist can make it look easy and effortless after years of toil.
Thanks! a beautiful journey.. about the "ticket situation tap" - it's suck, but don't feel bad about it ever. that happened to me too. visitors are targeted by mosquitos in tourist industry. From that experience, I now use my iphone to take photos of what I paid, tap , purchases of anything that is too costly for my wallet to be charged multiple times for a single service
I also had so many times that i had problems with my card here in the UK. Embarrassing and also i am a person of color so i feel like i am judged that i didnt make a mistake or the card messed up. I feel like people thinks that i did it on purpose to not pay. These things traumatised me a lot.
@@Merlinda_makes oh no, that sounds terrible and I can definitely, completely understand how that would be traumatizing especially when it happens over and over. I'm sorry 🌷

enjoyable "tour" with you to Florence. Loved all the class studies and the sketchbooks too.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Wonderful to hear about your trip! Thanks for sharing your lovely work ... and the challenges you faced!

I saw her way back in artful magazine. Its my dream to attend her workshop and see and buy her work.
@@Merlinda_makes I hope it works out one day :)
