Flying fish: exist Universe: so you have chosen death
That polar bear catching the seal underwater was pure perseverance
That frame of the polar bear on the edge looking proud is such a great shot. Every shot is just magnificent
That Polar Bear's life makes me wonder what the whole purpose of its existence is. Living in a freezing wasteland, trying to catch enough food to keep it alive, and just doing the same every day - but for what? There must be some end purpose to it all beyond its existence as we see it.
that really was quite incredible
Not sure about looking 'proud' but yes, astonishing shots.

@@jklavz You don't know that, though. Darwin didn't know that, or Einstein. Nobody does.
Flying fish is an amazing thing. no matter how hard they struggled, they all eventually became prey, but their efforts were very nice and very admirable.
The most epic scene was the bull overcoming the three lions despite having suffered bites from the lions yet goes ahead to overpower the lions even from the ground. Great lesson; never give up, keep fighting.

That bull was awesome

You're right. It's amazing and probably my favorite series for its capture of unique hunting behaviors that we rarely see on the other narrative-driven docu-series.

Biggest comeback since Logan Paul
Bull escaped too die a slow death from the infection that will form in those wounds.
@Gunshot 47 I can't say that every wound will get infected. I did see a documentary a while ago that showed some animals crossing a river. The narrator said the ones that made it past the crocs but still suffered injuries would likely die from infections or be preyed upon when they weakened from it.
Gunshot 47 it could be infections from the air, from the dirt on the claws, or dirty water if they wade through a pond. Since animals don’t think of cleaning injuries (usually) they create more chances of becoming infected by numerous factors

I have heard humans complain about having to go to the supermarket
So true 💯
Same
Right , imagine we never evolved our technology and wer wild animals just like them what would be our prey and predictors
Cristian Chavez i mean humans have endurance, it is known that ancient humans that used to hunt were running after animals for hours upon hours and exhausted the animals to catch them, that and we can throw things like spears. So we would probably hunt deers and swines and stuff like that
JD Q Although it’s true we were a lot stronger back then we probably still couldn’t catch up to deers or buffalos etc. Instead, we used traps to corner the prey. The major shift from that life style is our agriculture and permanent settlements.
I remember watching this series a few years back. The fate of the flying fish made me cry. Together with the awesome camera work and an alternate theme of the Great Hunt, the reality of nature truly struck me.
I don't get why so many people dislike this, it's literally just nature.

I feel bad for the flying fish. Imagine being born just to be a prey for predators neither water nor air at the same time. Life is really a constant battle for survival.
hope u feel bad for everyone then as everybody is everyones prey. mmmm wonder about us in the US or the world. oh maybe aoc can save the bears at the risk of humanity kills us all so they can save the bears! mmm wonder who us all is and who will be left to admire them since no one will be able to travel there much less film
Juan Gonzalez mmm
Yeah it has a predator in water and outside...
lol yea, he dead either way. even with flying advantage , birds wait on air and underwater the fish predators wait
if it flyes it will be eaten by bird and in the water it's will be by the other fishes
Sir David Attenborough, We Love you.
I wish I could see a documentary of how these film makers get these close ups of the animals and sea creatures. It's incredible! And I never saw flying fish before. I've seen in person fish jump out of the water. But I never heard of flying fish. It was captivating! This was an exciting video!
Called vr drones there amazing
@@offkeymadness5463 I obviously know about drones. But that didn't occur to me here. However, drones are a newer technology and film makers have done the documentaries of wildlife for years. I know some took videos out of helicopters. And we have had helicopters for a very long time.
At the end of each episode they do a segment on this, showcasing some of the filming techniques they use.

@@eriom There were clearly a number of cameras in the seal vs polar bear hunt, and it's a mystery to me how they positioned and operated them without spooking the prey or the predator. Drones are way too intrusive.
And even setting this (seemingly insuperable) difficulty to one side, assuming they were fixed cameras, remotely operated: how could they know in advance that the action would take place where it ultimately did?

I felt so relieved that the polar bear caught the seal. When I see polar bears struggling because of ice shortage or whatever I always feel sad. I really hope they will survive but I think it's already over.
Their numbers are still dropping, but I guess its not over until its over

The flying fish are one of the most insane things I've ever seen in my life!!!!
The way the camera man caught the hunt was simply amazing! Why was the seal just chilling on the ice like a day on the beach😂😂😂
Because that's what they do and there is no beach in the Arctic so they make do with the ice.
They sun bathe

And even setting this (seemingly insuperable) difficulty to one side: ow could they know in advance that the action would take place where it ultimately did?
Exactly what I was thinking ! That camera work on the wolf / haire chase was so exciting. Like a car chase from a Hollywood movie.
Wish the flying fish get it's justice in heaven
It won't heaven doesn't exist. Life is an arrangement of physical matter. Heaven, Paradise, Elysium, Shangri-la, Valhalla etc. Are all fantasies of humans. The common denominator between all these is not that heaven exist but that because of our level of consciousness we are all scared to some degree of the temporality of our existence.
@@TheAdekrijger everything is a fantasy until proven otherwise. In the future scientists will figure out things we don't have a clue about now. I’m glad she caught the seal. So heartbreaking.
that seal was a father of 3, how could you!
The law of nature is truly cruel. This whole predator against prey is heartbreaking to watch, and on the other hand if the predator doesn't hunt its prey then it will starve to death.

I am not a fan of polar bears tbh.
That first rabbit at the end was the best running back I have ever seen and would be draft it the first round into NFL.
Lol the way the seal is just lying there so nonchalantly right before it shits itself and does a runner is hilarious, it's like it's just sprawled out on it's bench in the back garden with a cigarette admiring the lovely -20 degree weather.
Those poor flying fish. There’s literally no escape for them
I know! send them a stimulus check and move them to the US and then spend billions of dolllars to keep them coming. Many jobs could be born of this. who cares who pays for them.
Literally the definition of "You cant win"
I think they are simply ignorant of interdimensional aqua travel.after what does a fish know about the water in which it swims.
I was never truly amazed at flying fishes before this
The prey themselves are damn amazing whether it be strength and stamina like that buffalo going 1v2 in the touring sun or the hare that deserves an NFL contract after juking those wolves inside out with ankle breaking moves.
