It's vlog time! In this one, I tell the full story on what happened to my day job since a lot of people were still pretty unclear as to what happened with it. It's an annoying tale, that's for sure. I also cover a future plan and an experimental one that may or may not continue, depending on audience approval.
Hang on, hang on! They wanted to make YOU pay another 60 bucks because THEY screwed up and took too long with your license? WAT.
I live in Germany. We INVENTED bureaucracy, and even here you wouldn't need to pay that! I would have given them hell for that! Making you pay another 60 bucks... I've heard of some pretty stupid shit before in terms of paperwork but this is ridiculous!
But hey... At least now you have a job that you actually like! So there's that at least.

I absolutely ADORE your game reviews. Even though you only have the two of them up, those being Metro: Last Light and Metal Gear Rising, they are informative, hilarious and have actually gotten me to try out the games themselves, all of those reasons you'll find in the tick boxes of a great game reviewer.
As for LP's, I don't mind in the slightest. I enjoy stuff by Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Achievement Hunter and loosely Ross Scott with his now finished Freeman's Mind series. To see you put your brand of humor and style into a game, even though it's practically going to be exclusively PC, I would still watch the Hell out of it, mainly because it's YOU who is doing it and I've been on board with you since late 2010.
Can't wait until you get back into the swing of things. I'll be waiting patiently.

After hearing this, you have my support in your job choice. More so in regards to your decision regarding the security job. The fact that they would take too long and charge you to have your background processed twice is unprofessional to any degree. However, I don't have a stable enough job to support you on Patreon. BoSchitt, don't let yourself get jaded over the people who frown and groan at the idea of using youtube videos as a job. It takes a lot more hard work than people think, and the people who hate are probably just jealous anyway. I know I sure would be stoked to be a youtuber as a career, but right now I only go to college and making a few videos here and there has always been a fun little hobby of mine. I have high hopes to become a scientist in the fields of biology and/or physics, maybe some cool combination of bio-engineering like making robot arm prosthetics and virtual reality "dream-gaming" (simulating video games in a dream state to maximize realness). I want to do this because: 1. I think I will be good at it. 2. Seeing these ideas to fruition is important to me. 3. It's my dream. You made a very hard decision to risk losing a lot for a job that many people would question the stability of, and likely for similar reasons, am I right? So if someone tries to tell you they think you're making a mistake with this career choice, just remind them that they can't talk you out of following your dream.

DasBoSchitt - Looking forward to your LP's man. :) I admit, I have been very, very spoiled by informative, completionist and as hypercomptent as possible Let's Plays that I could find and watch, though usually I could mostly find the first two types (and even then, rarely), most of the time separately as I don't think I ever found one with all three or any other miscellaneous qualities that I liked. A Let's Play that combines informativeness, completionism (my definition: doing everything that can be done, looking at the environments, etc) and extremely hypercompetent gameplay is my probably absurd too-much-to ask-for Holy Grail of Let's Plays. That and narrative LP's akin to Freeman's Mind and other even more experimental things. Regardless, I repeat, I look forward to seeing what kind of LP's you will do. Any ideas what you will LP or would you like to keep that a surprise, or are you willing to take suggestions? :)

Oh my god, I literally jumped up at the mention of an updated SMH. I dearly, DEARLY hope there is some feature that allows for progress saving. I do understand the complications of the feature arise from GMod 13's abysmal saving system (the save sharing system should've only been applied for sharing saves between players, rather than serving as the basis of saving personal instances. Seriously, why couldn't the built-in save system be kept?). It saves relative model spawn locations and basic positioning, along with any affecting built-in tools. Anything extra isn't read by the system and left out, leaving whatever special feature you did, whether it took seconds or hours, is gone when you reload.
For me, any sort of animating is to be done in spurts. Sometimes I'll feel like making a few poses, sometimes I'll go for a few hours for posing and capturing. I can't do that any more. The length of a scene determines how long I'll be sitting down. I have to see each scene I begin to the end in one sitting, lest I lose any progress. This problem has severely killed my mood to animate, as I know I have to grind through a session without stopping. I force myself at some points, when I do get the urge.

You should've CQC grabbed the guards, taken them to a safe place, let them go, and then aim at them to hold them up. Then, press the interrogation button and tell them to lie down. They'll stay down there forever until they're told to get up by another guard or if you go on alert.
I love the SA LP model, and wish it were the standard. Go for it man.
In the UK the SIA licence terms are so strict that you can't even be given a warning because "It's admitting you did the crime".
Your voice is perfect for a let's play. Also that mobile game didn't look half bad.

I think this LP thing is a good idea it will give you a chance to talk to your fans more and disscuss the game, kinda like Auzzie gamer where he pretty much only focused on the game, until his channel went dead about 2 years ago.

It would be nice to see the return of traditional, pre-Pewds lets plays.
No offense, but in my opinion it would be better to spend your time on additional Gmod Idiot Boxes than lets plays. The ONLY way I would not his the dislike button on those is if it is obvious that you are trying to give coverage to smaller games (Like you did with Contagion) But I worry that you will be tempted to do the bigger games for more views.

Although I liked his Contagion review, I regret buying the game based on it. The game itself is terrible and is outdone by a mod called No More Room in Hell. Indie games aren't perfect and there are plenty of big games, small games, and just games in general I'd like to hear informed opinions on.

I can understand this job issue thing, even though I don't have a job. Florida is extremely problematic, I make application after application for a job and either get a rejection letter, the nice way of saying "We don't care" or I get nothing in response. The state needs to get their shit together and think with their heads for once. I would try doing the same thing, however the college I'm in has me on my toes for my classes.
Keep doing what you doing there buddy, best works out that.

Do you happen to know if this is just an improved version of the first, or is it a do-over type version that will be functioning differently from the first? Not that I don't trust the creator of the tool to do well or anything, but I'd appreciate a little clarity on that.
Commentaries. Please call them commentaries. Let's Plays are reactionary shit for the kids. Commentaries are edited videos where you voice your thoughts on everything. Walkthroughs are full videos of a playthrough that's supposed to show people how to do just that.
