When in Belgium and you order fries, make sure to ask if they use vegetable oil or lard to fry them. because it is very common to use lard instead of vegetable oil.

Yeah, Brussels is a cool city. It combines old and new pretty good. Lived there for a while. It looks like you were eating all the time;-) Great selection of restaurants though. Well done.

You probably know that you shouldn't eat French fries on the street as a vegetarian or vegan, Belgians very often fry in lard instead of vegetable oil. Aber die anderen Sachen sehen sehr appetitlich aus. Viele Grüße
