The power systems in One piece are so nebulous, weird, inconsistent and context dependent I don't take anyone's power scaling that seriously. Everyone has bias, everyone weights feats, stats and portrayal differently, and everyone has multiple picks for their strongest characters in the series that makes you wonder what they were smoking. Ultimately it was never that serious
You say that but look at someone like crocodile who oda himself even admits, he brought him into the story too early. What did he do in Marineford? What position is he in now? But he doesn’t care about how strong his characters are?🤨
This is literally just not true. There is powerscaling within the manga throughout the entirety of the story. Oda goes through great lengths to make sure the internal power scale is always consistent.

Jinbe's was more like surprise reaction, he wasn't expecting a giant Haki from some unknown fighter, as for reacting to Shanks, Shanks is miles away out of the island far away from Jinbe, Mars was much closer to Jinbe. Distance is a factor since Marco told the new guys to hide inside the ship when Shanks arrived.

Hold up, are we including Aokiji and Akainu? Because if so, the admirals are still leagues above the gorosei because of those 2. #1. The Gorosei were terrified of the Nika fruit's awakening. If someone is scared of something, that means they have a weakness. The Gorosei are not unbeatable just because they have regen. #2. Kizaru has been dealing with someone who is in the top 15 to top 5 right now and that's Luffy. Why is this such a downgrade for Kizaru in the eyes of the community? Before Egghead, did anyone really think Kizaru would have beaten a Yonko, one on one? Kaido? Big Mom? Shanks? Or Blackbeard? No, I didn't see anyone saying that. So, why is it belittling Kizaru so much? Luffy is in the same category of pirate as them, Kaido pretty much confirmed that when we saw his top 5 and when he said he would have be beaten by JoyBoy. #3. Last point, Gear 5th is not fair to scale, because it bypasses durability with it's abilities and turning people into rubber. (Which also means Luffy in Gear 5th can touch Logia's without haki.) No one in the series has had a fighting style like Gear 5th.
TONS of people argued Kizaru is yonko level. On fact they STILL DO. They believed he could legit stop big mom and kaido from teaming up by himself because he said so. They believe luffy vs kizaru was a draw because luffy got tired from gear 5 and kizaru got up first. They believe kizaru is SO "mentally nerfed" that his feats dont even matter. They say he was focussed on vegapunk not luffy thats why it went down like that (as if luffy wasnt focussed on vegapunk). They say he took no damage from luffy even though we litterally saw him take damage. They say he no diffed snakeman. They claim luffy is above yonko level thats why kizaru is still up there. They say he is just not using awakening which makes him yonko level. It's worse than you think.
@@MrSub132 those are outliers. Most people always assumed that the yonkou were above the admirals. With that said, I believe Kizaru is nerfed on Egghead and didn't fight at his best, but that doesn't mean he's stronger than a full HP Luffy. Two things can be true at the same time. Kizaru is nerfed, but Luffy is stronger than him. In different circumstances, a fight between them would look very different.
We don't know that they are actually immortal, or what kind of immortality they might have if they even have it. All we really know is that they have very good regeneration. But there could be, and most likely is, a trick to it. One that Shanks can probably exploit.
Clearly gonna be a case of “you need strong enough haki to bypass their healing” Also, if we wanna get *technical* Shanks wouldn’t loose…..it’d just be a stalemate based on his inability to do permanent damage. The Gorosei have stated they want to preserve the 3 great powers. Their goal was never to wipe out the Pirates. It was merely to maintain the balance between the great powers. Idle hands are the devil's tools. If the Marines ever ran out of Pirates to fight they might start thinking about true justice. And that is also a dangerous situation for the Gorosei. IMO a deal was struck with Shanks to end the war before one side could wipe out the other. I believe part of the deal was stopping Kaido as well. The Gorosei wanted to prevent Marineford from getting out of hand, and disrupting delicate balance. But they couldn't just tell the Marines themselves to stand down. Otherwise they might lose the loyalty of the Marines and the WG's constituent kingdoms. Shanks played along because it served his interests as well. Thus he was granted passage over the red line. That is the weak version. The strong version is that Shanks is a God's Knight. That would explain why he got away with stealing the Gum Gum fruit. And why he could enter the Reverie as well. Remember, Doflamingo's father had to sign away his rights as a God. Shanks did no such thing. So he might enjoy the privileges of that heritage with no strings attached. Celestials are allowed to act like pirates, afterall. But that still isn't the strongest version. The strongest version is that Garling staged God Valley, in order to assassinate the former Commander, so that he could end the hunting games. And that he and Shanks are working from the inside to bring down the WG as father and son. That would explain why Mihawk left Shanks' crew, as many have speculated. Mihawk was a former God's Knight, and felt betrayed when Shanks joined up with Garling, his former commander. It also might explain what Shanks cried about. Roger may have told him to go with Garling. Garling probably told Roger and Garp his plan at God Valley. He may have even told Roger which chest he would leave Shanks in. He gave Roger his son because he didn't want Shanks to grow up as a celestial and be corrupted. When Roger realized he couldn't bring in the dawn, he came to the conclusion that the best option would be for Shanks to work with Garling. And Roger's request is why Shanks gave up his search for the One Piece. If he were to go after it, he couldn't be a God's Knight. He can do anything but that. But now that the tide has turned, Shanks is preparing to go after it. Once the final war concludes, I speculate Shanks will have all the rubbings needed to reach laughtale. And so will all the other Yonkou. Thus begins the race Laughtale, and the ultimate 4 way Davy Back fight. That's the dream anyway. I've always felt BB's crew would be excellent in a Davy Back fight.

When all is said and done, there'll probably be dissertations written to unravel Shanks' web of motivations and allegiances. Suffice it to say, I think your strongest idea is indeed great, but as a layer of obfuscation preceding Shanks' true, unspoken beliefs. Probably the final layer, actually. I think he is indeed nominally aligned against the WG - there's no deception there, he really does hate them - but deep down he has effectively conditioned himself against accepting any hope or chance of success. Allowing himself to get dismembered and giving Luffy the straw hat was just as much a 'quiet quitting' of sorts as a hand-off to the next generation, I don't expect Shanks even now will be a dependable ally. He has grown accustomed to, and lowkey covets the status quo, leading him to somewhat selfishly act to preserve it, with his cultivated pessimism and dread of Im being the deepmost factor. Only at the last moment will he realise that his 'bet' on Luffy, although he didn't 100% mean it at the time, was a genuinely providential act he can fully believe in.

Saying the Gorosei are over the admirals is saying that the straw hats would have a better shot at winning if they fought Akainu, Aokjij, Kizaru, Fujitora and Green Bull than beating the Gorosei. The literal only reason the Gorosei are a threat is because of their regeneration. Not a single other attack they have is a problem but somehow they are being compared to the admirals. If you want to say that they would outlast the admirals then by that logic the Gorosei beat Roger, White Beard, Rocks, Kaido and Shanks in a 5 v 5 but people won't say that because we'll magically say that they would somehow do it
Regeneration isn’t the only reason the Gorosei are a threat. It’s the main reason, yes, but not the only. If it weren’t for Luffy’s Nika power keeping them at bay, all of the Straw Hats would be screwed right now.

I been saying it for a while now since Wano. The Gorosei is slightly under Admiral level, and the Holy Knights are slightly above 1st division Commander.

I always watched these people powerscale and I never watched the show but I started reading the manga on the same day / chapter luffy died and awakened. After I started watching the show from ep 1 seeing how the dmg and the fighting goes throughout the show has me confused at times. Ora isn’t powerscaling he’s having fun and that’s what matters ultimately at the end
Just 2 (crazy) thoughts 1. What if the Gorosei were actually the real devils trapped within the fruits and Imu was somewhat able to separate them from their fruits and let them loose. And Maybe they obey Imu not just bc of a hierarchy thing but also bc Imu knows how to seal them back into fruits. This could explain why Oda presented the Gorosei in the description bubble like real devils instead of DF users. This makes me think Imu is the last fight as BB uses multiple DV powers trapped inside of him but Imu is on a whole other level where he/she can release these things. 2. We’ve seen all kinds of races and tribes with different attributes. The magic (or alchemy?) thing may actually be real and Imu was like a powerful witch/alchemist/scientist at that time who created a way to seal all sorts of things in fruits. It was all good until Imu did the forbidden/unthinkable thing of also sealing living things in fruits. This could also explain why Zoan fruits are special
Notice how Luffy never reacts to Kaido’s haki, but Topman scares the Nika out of him. It’s not just eyes simply popping out this time, it’s like he got shaken to the core sensing Topman.
haki is a will power thing but we do no that armament and observation can grow stronger every battle (so its like an XP level up thing, which could explain why OP characters get stronger past every island and why BB said luffys haki got stronger pre skip). SO if the elders are immortal can their haki in theory keep leveling up over the years (but that would depend if they are active in fights. say do they spar with each other to get stronger in the holy land?).
Gorosei should be around Admiral level in order to be a treat in the final war to the other Strawhat Members. Godknights will probably be handled by Dragon and the Revolutionary while Sabo goes after Akainu. IMU is Luffy's fight and Luffy's fight ONLY. Idc if its after or before his fight with BB.
Powerscaling is so easy in One Piece, idk why people are having such a hard time. The gorosei are stronger, because they use conquerors haki. They are kizarus bosses. They lead the world, ofc they are stronger. An Emperor like Shanks, Luffy, Big Mom, etc. will be stronger than them individually, because Luffy can deal with them. But he cant hurt them (yet). Once this weakness gets figured out, characters like Zoro, Law, Kid, Sanji, will be able to defeat them most likely, once they get their next power up. (Also Kid and Law are equals and both are stronger than Zoro, just to throw some oil in the fire)
Haki is tied to will power but what if that is connected to belief which also ties into focus. Hear me out, every fight luffys been in, the opposition 'believed' themselves to be better than luffy and that he wasnt strong enough. Luffy is the flip "imma beat yo ass cuz i have to. And aint stoppin till you dont get up". Luffy gets his ass kicked for 75% of the fight but he never doubts that he will. The opposition over the course, IN EVERY FIGHT, starts to question "Why wont he stay down", "How does he have anymore strength left". This, hypothetically, causes their own belief in themselves and powers to be shaken. Then the focus is no longer winning but "how much longer can this go on?" But luffy, never waivers even when he was unconscious. Just a thought. Haki might be a deeper way to view characters, not just in terms of strength. The 5 elders believe what they are doing, demons never leave on their own. You gotta force em.
The elders had time to cultivate their haki. They are immortal so they can burst out as much as they want i assume. But there is a certain amount they can work with
Haki is the least intuitive power system in its genre. You can't just run out of Chakra and will yourself into regenerating ( cough kid & law ). The color scheme and wave pattern look the same as well. Maybe a different waveform to distinguish conquerors from other forms.

My personal theory is that the gorosei aren't actually people. They're created by Imu's devil fruit. Hence the loyalty and hence why they don't seem to take damage from Luffy, and also why home dude would just be able to summon his fellow gorosei.

My biggest thing about these guys is that they HAVE to be immortal in some way right? No chance that the Elders are just getting replaced due to age. They may look old, but if they were really old and closing in on that old age death, they'd be finding people to take their place. Instead, their acting as if they are just top dogs still. I sort of get why you don't think they are yonko level. Mostly because right now, Luffy's aim to be king of the pirates means he WILL have to fight the Yonkos to prove he's strongest. So, if he's fighting something already stronger than them, that would make a fight against the yonkos sort of dull. I just don't like how suddenly all the elders decide to pop into egghead like this. We saw nothing of them until now and then boom, all of them? Feels too forced...
I'm still not impressed at all with the gorosei They couldn't really hurt anyone other than vegapunk who has no combat abilities at all. While one of them stopped the pacifista, they did state he did not destroy them, he only froze their circuits with his ice powers. The only thing the got going for them until now is their immortality, and long range conqueror's which can only knock out fodder.

He was sent flying immediately after by Dorry and Broggy. Then Luffy redirected Saturn's poison bombs, which would have killed them both if not for the regen. Ju Peter would be dead, decapitated by Dorry and Broggy if not for the ability. Sure you can argue they are careless because they can rely on the regen, but why even bother if you are so powerful. Someone please explain to me why everyone sees black lightning and goes STRAIGHT to conquerors haki. We've seen black lightning used on armament attacks so many times before. Yall are too caught up on WHICH haki is being used. When, it doesn't really matter. The point is that very strong haki is being exerted and that's all we should be concerned with.

I don't think the Gorosei are immortal, I think it's either a trick, a level of power you have to reach to be able to deal damage with those guys or there is a threshold on how much damage they can take without getting hurt.

Oda does not need to explain why in the end of the day the Gorosei did not move until now. I personally think that the full power of the whole government, Marines, Shichibukai, Five elders, God knights, Imu etc if all of them when against the Yonko combine they would owned the Emperors. There will be huge causalities yes but the WG would still win, that's the whole point of them being the so called final faction that's standing in Luffy's way. Need to keep in mind that this faction has literally been in power for centuries and not once have they fall in their dominance. And suddenly because how powerful the Yonko are they can suddenly win. No, that thought doesn't make sense in the context and narrative of what Oda is setting up this end game dudes to be. KOL beliefs if Shanks were to fight the Gorosei 5 vs 1 Shanks would win? Really! again it's not matching this buildup of the final saga threat. That throughout history of One Piece only one guy is gonna bring the dawn and that's Luffy. The power systems in One piece are so nebulous, weird, inconsistent and context dependent I don't take anyone's power scaling that seriously. Everyone has bias, everyone weights feats, stats and portrayal differently, and everyone has multiple picks for their strongest characters in the series that makes you wonder what they were smoking.

Jinbe's was more like surprise reaction, he wasn't expecting a giant Haki from some unknown fighter, as for reacting to Shanks, Shanks is miles away out of the island far away from Jinbe, Mars was much closer to Jinbe. #1. The Gorosei were terrified of the Nika fruit's awakening. If someone is scared of something, that means they have a weakness. The Gorosei are not unbeatable just because they have regen.
#2. Kizaru has been dealing with someone who is in the top 15 to top 5 right now and that's Luffy. Why is this such a downgrade for Kizaru in the eyes of the community? Before Egghead, did anyone really think Kizaru would have beaten a Yonko, one on one? Kaido? Big Mom? Shanks? Or Blackbeard? No, I didn't see anyone saying that. So, why is it belittling Kizaru so much? Luffy is in the same category of pirate as them, Kaido pretty much confirmed that when we saw his top 5 and when he said he would have be beaten by JoyBoy.
#3. Last point, Gear 5th is not fair to scale, because it bypasses durability with it's abilities and turning people into rubber. (Which also means Luffy in Gear 5th can touch Logia's without haki.) No one in the series has had a fighting style like Gear 5th.
TONS of people argued Kizaru is yonko level. On fact they STILL DO. They believed he could legit stop big mom and kaido from teaming up by himself because he said so. They believe luffy vs kizaru was a draw because luffy got tired from gear 5 and kizaru got up first. They believe kizaru is SO "mentally nerfed" that his feats dont even matter. They say he was focussed on vegapunk not luffy thats why it went down like that (as if luffy wasnt focussed on vegapunk). They say he took no damage from luffy even though we litterally saw him take damage. They say he no diffed snakeman. They claim luffy is above yonko level thats why kizaru is still up there. They say he is just not using awakening which makes him yonko level. It's worse than you think.

With that said, I believe Kizaru is nerfed on Egghead and didn't fight at his best, but that doesn't mean he's stronger than a full HP Luffy. Two things can be true at the same time. Kizaru is nerfed, but Luffy is stronger than him. In different circumstances, a fight between them would look very different.

The Gorosei have stated they want to preserve the 3 great powers. Their goal was never to wipe out the Pirates. It was merely to maintain the balance between the great powers. Idle hands are the devil's tools. If the Marines ever ran out of Pirates to fight they might start thinking about true justice. And that is also a dangerous situation for the Gorosei.
IMO a deal was struck with Shanks to end the war before one side could wipe out the other. I believe part of the deal was stopping Kaido as well. The Gorosei wanted to prevent Marineford from getting out of hand, and disrupting delicate balance. But they couldn't just tell the Marines themselves to stand down. Otherwise they might lose the loyalty of the Marines and the WG's constituent kingdoms. Shanks played along because it served his interests as well. Thus he was granted passage over the red line.
That is the weak version. The strong version is that Shanks is a God's Knight. That would explain why he got away with stealing the Gum Gum fruit. And why he could enter the Reverie as well. Remember, Doflamingo's father had to sign away his rights as a God. Shanks did no such thing. So he might enjoy the privileges of that heritage with no strings attached. Celestials are allowed to act like pirates, afterall.
But that still isn't the strongest version. The strongest version is that Garling staged God Valley, in order to assassinate the former Commander, so that he could end the hunting games. And that he and Shanks are working from the inside to bring down the WG as father and son. That would explain why Mihawk left Shanks' crew, as many have speculated. Mihawk was a former God's Knight, and felt betrayed when Shanks joined up with Garling, his former commander. It also might explain what Shanks cried about. Roger may have told him to go with Garling.
Garling probably told Roger and Garp his plan at God Valley. He may have even told Roger which chest he would leave Shanks in. He gave Roger his son because he didn't want Shanks to grow up as a celestial and be corrupted. When Roger realized he couldn't bring in the dawn, he came to the conclusion that the best option would be for Shanks to work with Garling. And Roger's request is why Shanks gave up his search for the One Piece. If he were to go after it, he couldn't be a God's Knight. He can do anything but that.
But now that the tide has turned, Shanks is preparing to go after it. Once the final war concludes, I speculate Shanks will have all the rubbings needed to reach laughtale. And so will all the other Yonkou. Thus begins the race Laughtale, and the ultimate 4 way Davy Back fight. That's the dream anyway. I've always felt BB's crew would be excellent in a Davy Back fight.

When all is said and done, there'll probably be dissertations written to unravel Shanks' web of motivations and allegiances. Suffice it to say, I think your strongest idea is indeed great, but as a layer of obfuscation preceding Shanks' true, unspoken beliefs. Probably the final layer, actually. I think he is indeed nominally aligned against the WG - there's no deception there, he really does hate them - but deep down he has effectively conditioned himself against accepting any hope or chance of success. Allowing himself to get dismembered and giving Luffy the straw hat was just as much a 'quiet quitting' of sorts as a hand-off to the next generation, I don't expect Shanks even now will be a dependable ally. He has grown accustomed to, and lowkey covets the status quo, leading him to somewhat selfishly act to preserve it, with his cultivated pessimism and dread of Im being the deepmost factor. Only at the last moment will he realise that his 'bet' on Luffy, although he didn't 100% mean it at the time, was a genuinely providential act he can fully believe in.

Regeneration isn’t the only reason the Gorosei are a threat. It’s the main reason, yes, but not the only. If it weren’t for Luffy’s Nika power keeping them at bay, all of the Straw Hats would be screwed right now.

I always watched these people powerscale and I never watched the show but I started reading the manga on the same day / chapter luffy died and awakened. After I started watching the show from ep 1 seeing how the dmg and the fighting goes throughout the show has me confused at times. Ora isn’t powerscaling he’s having fun and that’s what matters ultimately at the end

Just 2 (crazy) thoughts
1. What if the Gorosei were actually the real devils trapped within the fruits and Imu was somewhat able to separate them from their fruits and let them loose. And Maybe they obey Imu not just bc of a hierarchy thing but also bc Imu knows how to seal them back into fruits. This could explain why Oda presented the Gorosei in the description bubble like real devils instead of DF users. This makes me think Imu is the last fight as BB uses multiple DV powers trapped inside of him but Imu is on a whole other level where he/she can release these things.
2. We’ve seen all kinds of races and tribes with different attributes. The magic (or alchemy?) thing may actually be real and Imu was like a powerful witch/alchemist/scientist at that time who created a way to seal all sorts of things in fruits. It was all good until Imu did the forbidden/unthinkable thing of also sealing living things in fruits. This could also explain why Zoan fruits are special
Notice how Luffy never reacts to Kaido’s haki, but Topman scares the Nika out of him. It’s not just eyes simply popping out this time, it’s like he got shaken to the core sensing Topman.

haki is a will power thing but we do no that armament and observation can grow stronger every battle (so its like an XP level up thing, which could explain why OP characters get stronger past every island and why BB said luffys haki got stronger pre skip). SO if the elders are immortal can their haki in theory keep leveling up over the years (but that would depend if they are active in fights. say do they spar with each other to get stronger in the holy land?).
Gorosei should be around Admiral level in order to be a treat in the final war to the other Strawhat Members. Godknights will probably be handled by Dragon and the Revolutionary while Sabo goes after Akainu. IMU is Luffy's fight and Luffy's fight ONLY. Idc if its after or before his fight with BB.

Powerscaling is so easy in One Piece, idk why people are having such a hard time.
The gorosei are stronger, because they use conquerors haki. They are kizarus bosses. They lead the world, ofc they are stronger.
An Emperor like Shanks, Luffy, Big Mom, etc. will be stronger than them individually, because Luffy can deal with them. But he cant hurt them (yet).
Once this weakness gets figured out, characters like Zoro, Law, Kid, Sanji, will be able to defeat them most likely, once they get their next power up.
(Also Kid and Law are equals and both are stronger than Zoro, just to throw some oil in the fire)

Haki is tied to will power but what if that is connected to belief which also ties into focus. Hear me out, every fight luffys been in, the opposition 'believed' themselves to be better than luffy and that he wasnt strong enough. Luffy is the flip "imma beat yo ass cuz i have to. And aint stoppin till you dont get up". Luffy gets his ass kicked for 75% of the fight but he never doubts that he will. The opposition over the course, IN EVERY FIGHT, starts to question "Why wont he stay down", "How does he have anymore strength left". This, hypothetically, causes their own belief in themselves and powers to be shaken. Then the focus is no longer winning but "how much longer can this go on?" But luffy, never waivers even when he was unconscious. Just a thought. Haki might be a deeper way to view characters, not just in terms of strength. The 5 elders believe what they are doing, demons never leave on their own. You gotta force em.

The elders had time to cultivate their haki. They are immortal so they can burst out as much as they want i assume. But there is a certain amount they can work with

Haki is the least intuitive power system in its genre. You can't just run out of Chakra and will yourself into regenerating ( cough kid & law ). The color scheme and wave pattern look the same as well. Maybe a different waveform to distinguish conquerors from other forms.
Main thing they got going for them is the insane regen/immortality. They can't take a punch though. They'd probably win based on attrition alone.
We don't even know if the admirals have awaken their devilfruits, but keep saying that kizaru didn't even use his awakening 😅 If we see an awakening on the marine side,I believe it is going to be smoker.....

Read a double peer reviewed report saying the yonko are stronger than the Gorosei.
My personal theory is that the gorosei aren't actually people. They're created by Imu's devil fruit.
Hence the loyalty and hence why they don't seem to take damage from Luffy, and also why home dude would just be able to summon his fellow gorosei.

i actually think this is the reason BM and Kaido arent dead, they both are needed for each for a gorosei. admirals arent confirmed conquerors, thats why.
My biggest thing about these guys is that they HAVE to be immortal in some way right? No chance that the Elders are just getting replaced due to age. They may look old, but if they were really old and closing in on that old age death, they'd be finding people to take their place. Instead, their acting as if they are just top dogs still.
I sort of get why you don't think they are yonko level. Mostly because right now, Luffy's aim to be king of the pirates means he WILL have to fight the Yonkos to prove he's strongest. So, if he's fighting something already stronger than them, that would make a fight against the yonkos sort of dull.
I just don't like how suddenly all the elders decide to pop into egghead like this. We saw nothing of them until now and then boom, all of them? Feels too forced...
If anything, Zoro probably said he’d die if he ran out of haki because Enma would probably drain his actual life force once his haki was gone

They couldn't really hurt anyone other than vegapunk who has no combat abilities at all. While one of them stopped the pacifista, they did state he did not destroy them, he only froze their circuits with his ice powers.
The only thing the got going for them until now is their immortality, and long range conqueror's which can only knock out fodder.

I think we can all say Saturn is probably the weakest of the 5 and he seems to be holding up better than kizaru. but that doesn't mean anything yet I'm betting they are not far off power wise but have the advantage because they don't have to stress the defense. guess we find out in a couple more weeks.
The only thing that we have seen damage the goresei is joyboy’s conquerors haki and emeth, and also imu can just kill them instantly, the admirals have no way to damage the goresei, akainu could probably do something but it’s still not enough, goresei takes this

He was sent flying immediately after by Dorry and Broggy. Then Luffy redirected Saturn's poison bombs, which would have killed them both if not for the regen.
Ju Peter would be dead, decapitated by Dorry and Broggy if not for the ability. Sure you can argue they are careless because they can rely on the regen, but why even bother if you are so powerful. They have a hax Deus ex machina power.

In the sense that anyone who’s will is weak can’t stand up to someone with conquerors. So trying to say he didn’t hurt anyone is just goofy because that’s not what conquerors haki does. He did what he was suppose to do, which is show his will power by forcing his haki around the island.
If that was shanks or kaido who did that, NOBODY would try to disrespect that feat…but since it isn’t Shanks you’re trying to act like that isn’t nothing.

Someone please explain to me why everyone sees black lightning and goes STRAIGHT to conquerors haki. We've seen black lightning used on armament attacks so many times before.
Yall are too caught up on WHICH haki is being used. When, it doesn't really matter. The point is that very strong haki is being exerted and that's all we should be concerned with.
To me, if a character mentions it or the sky splits is my indication of its use

Oda isn't going to spell out everytime luffy is using something in his arsenal, like future sight. We just know he has it and can use it.
I don't think the Gorosei are immortal, I think it's either a trick, a level of power you have to reach to be able to deal damage with those guys or there is a threshold on how much damage they can take without getting hurt.

Oda does not need to explain why in the end of the day the Gorosei did not move until now. I personally think that the full power of the whole government, Marines, Shichibukai, Five elders, God knights, Imu etc if all of them when against the Yonko combine they would owned the Emperors. There will be huge causalities yes but the WG would still win, that's the whole point of them being the so called final faction that's standing in Luffy's way. Need to keep in mind that this faction has literally been in power for centuries and not once have they fall in their dominance. And suddenly because how powerful the Yonko are they can suddenly win. No, that thought doesn't make sense in the context and narrative of what Oda is setting up this end game dudes to be. KOL beliefs if Shanks were to fight the Gorosei 5 vs 1 Shanks would win? Really! again it's not matching this buildup of the final saga threat. That throughout history of One Piece only one guy is gonna bring the dawn and that's Luffy. Please If we are gonna nick pick stuff like Oh! if the WG could literally wipe out all the Yonko if they wanted to why didn't they, then what's the point of setting up your story in the first place.
