Wow, I’m from Lebanon, and I was in absolute shock when I heard Beirut was on the list. However, I do completely understand why, it truly is a gorgeous city. Anyways, much love, and we hope to see you all soon :)
I am actually born and raised from Prague, Malá Strana. But one of my most favourite city (and I visited about 70 cities around the world) is Boston, USA. I love the weather there, so many friendly people. And it also felt kind of like small cozy town, with historical building in the center. Also because there is many famous universities there is a lot of young people to hang out with.
This made me so happy as a Bostonian because I love Boston too. My heritage is Czech and I was going to visit in 2020 before COVID happened and I still haven’t made it. I really, really hope I can make it to Prague soon.
I can also confirm that Chicago is an amazing city. I’m from Romania. I visited a lot of the big cities in US (including Honolulu), but Chicago is the one where I would live if I would have to choose a city in US.
Went on a European trip in high school when I was about 17. Went to multiple cities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Czechia. So much to appreciate as a history lover and an obsession with other ways of life. Prague was hands down my favorite city and Czechia my favorite country overall. Just an amazing presence and vibe. Walking through it was just wonderful. If there’s ever a city I visit again outside of the US, it’s definitely Prague.
@@drewbinsky I love your channel and İstanbul is the city I want to go most. I was surprised it wasn't on here, but I guess since you've been so many places you probably have the best idea as to which cities are the best. great video and great channel, never stop
Hi Drew! I am from Bamyan, Afghanistan and I was born in Esfahan. It is just incredible. Love the architecture and tile works of Pulic masque and 33 bridges
@Zultoni Febriansyah They don't scam locals, because we are careful. But as a tourist, yeah, you either must have a local friend or be really always suspicious.
@T K it’s not fake lol, the buildings exist and they are old, about the scams Czech Republic is the least religious country in the world so that means that there are no scam problems like in the US or Italy, and when it comes to exchange scams and high prices that’s literally a thing you can find everywhere
@T K I mean... it is your opinion, I respect it, but I disagree with it. If you watch honest guide, it may seem that scams happen everywhere, but in reality, they are just trying to warn you where to be careful. About the "fake fairy tale beauty", it's not fake man... The city centre is very very old and it really looks magical, but it's not fake. Once you get out of the city centre, it all looks way different. We're not trying to pretend to be something we aren't. I've been to Budapest and I loved it, I can't wait to go there again. It was one of my favorite cities where I've traveled, along with London and Dubai. But I still like Prague more, because I'm a local, it has a special place in my heart :)
Honestly so many slovaks lie about being from czech republic (believe me, i am in scandinavia and every slovak ive met has lied) so he might not have known, and even if he knew, he didnt say "this is my czech friend" he just showed a video from prague. he is usually traveling among other foreigners
Elio Sawaya It’s very common, just like Romanians very often lie and say that they are Italians. Romanians and Slovaks have a bad reputation and seen as “Eastern Europe” by the white north/west of Europe (its a very spread out racism and most people are not even aware of it), Czechs and Italians are not.
@@superbere oh I see, thanks for the information. I actually knew that Romania's reputation is not so good but I never thought that it was the case for Slovakia too. I even thought that Slovaks were actually pretty close to Czechs in terms of culture and traditions since they used to be one country.
Ahoj from Praha! I’m an American (Michigan) who moved to Prague (9) 4 years ago and it’s growing on me. I catch myself missing it when I go home for a few months every year. Awesome video! Cheers! Na zdraví!
Don't get me wrong, i was in Amsterdam several times already but only once to smoke, because YOU HAVE TO. The city is FANTASTIC! Go explore, specially the surrounding areas! Rent a car and go East! Go South! Go to the beach of Netherlands! The entire country is a perfect romance story. It's a shame to see it while blurry
@@crazyzombiebos7778 I was there also once, and it was enough for me. What should I do there for 7 times ? Should have I been going to the red light district everytime i was in the city? Did i miss something the first time, maybe?
Sebastián Carrazzoni Doesn’t really change the thing. That’s like saying that a Spanish person is Arab because Spain used to be owned by the Arabian empire.
Марк Денмарк well that’s very bad comparison, we are different nations but also we are very close to each other and we even understand each other, drew made mistake but he was talking about Prague and PPPeter lives there so it’s absolutely OK, but drew should be more cautious because if he would say that Croat is Serb it would be very big faux pa😃
Right with you on the ones I know, which are Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Berlin, Chicago and, my number 1 as well, Prague. All fabulous places. I’d have Seville in there somewhere I reckon. (London too, but I’m biased)
On my last trip to Europe I visited Prague, and while Rome is fantastic and I've been there several times I'd have to agree Prague was my favorite city I've ever visited. What a great list!!
I was in Prague 3 years ago and I can not deny the city is very beautiful, but I didn find people super nice to be honest....I belive they treat people on a different way based on their background...I am from LatinAmerica and I dont think they respect the same Latins vs. Americans or other europeans....I don't appreciate places like that where they act based on this. I am a native Chicagoan, yes it has it's social problems like most urban areas, but it also has a unique charm. I love the downtown area and strolling by Lake Michigan is so relaxing. The museums are great as well.
I love Chicago. Traveling there every year to visit friends. Except in 2020 when is Europeans were not welcomed in the US. Like it a lot but the museums are somewhat disappointing compared to those in Asia and Europe. More like kid‘s playgrounds then museums.
Ive only been to about 30 capital cities. My favourite (which ive been back to several times) is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The people are so genuinely friendly, a benetton of local cultures and a great variety of delicious cuisine. Hong Kong is fun but so darned expensive. Chicago is my fave American city too
Wonderful! It's interesting that your number one is Prague! It wouldn't make my top ten list personally... and I would definitely put Budapest, Hungary on there....Great video!
Like you, my favourite city is where I studied abroad: Warsaw, Poland. It must be one of Europe’s most underrated cities but it has so much to offer, almost feels like a cooler, undiscovered slavic Berlin
Armando Villarin yes they are. I hate the media like fox or cnn telling people it’s dangerous and people will rob you. They just do not know who Mexico really is. I could say the same about Pakistan, Iran and much more. People really need to give themselves a chance to know the real country not the media
I just wish Drew Would show and represent Latin American cities more but he will probably not read this message since he places more Asia and European cities on the top. No offense Drew, I like your page, but give Latin America a better chance at being represented
Been living in Prague for the past 4 months, and I have to say, absolutely nothing I've ever seen compares to the sun shining on Prague's buildings. You also have parks and green areas, and it's close (1hr30mins) from a couple of national parks. I had to go out a few times during the coronavirus crisis and damn, Prague on a sunny day without tourists around is absolutely beautiful.

Glad you like Kuala Lumpur too. I am a Malaysian but been living and travelling all over the world including the cities on his top 10 list as well as Washington DC, NYC, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Tokyo etc but I would still put KL as one of my favorite city. Having been all over the world actually make me appreciate KL more :) World class infrastructure and shopping experience, yet with historical and modern mix, buildings and cultures, very hospitable and kind people and with various ethnicities that anyone from anywhere in the world can comfortably blend in, a truly food haven both local, international and fusion, and also the city is very affordable. Also it has nature parks and pockets of rainforest within the city itself. I can get to the cool hills for Spring weather, explore the oldest rainforest in the world and the most wildlife, whitewater rafting or run to beautiful beaches all within 30 minutes of KL. You hv buses, trains, e-hailing, etc at very cheap prices to tk you in and out of KL. Also Malaysia is Truly Asia :)
Great list - please keep the videos coming Drew, you're an ambassador for Good in the world. Measured by the size of the smile on my face when I get there, here's my top ten - we share Beirut and Berlin in common. :-) 1. Beirut 2. Sydney 3. Istanbul 4. Los Angeles 5. Monaco 6. Dubai 7. @@Pablo-zf7ml Hi, I am from Prague and I live there. Honestly I think that the czechs do not respect any tourists:D. We are a small country and some people can be afraid of new things, new people. But if a tourist tries to speak our language for example (just "hello" thank u"...), I think the people start to be more kind and opened. Especially when u drink a beer with them :D With the souvenirs store there is problem that these stores are usually runned by russians, ukrainans... When you see in a Prague sign "czech souvenirs" it is not czech, it's russian actually:( I would recomend u yt channel "honest guide". It shows tourists the best of Prague:D.
I like that you listed Chicago. I lived there for two years. My favorite city, besides my hometown of Duluth, MN, would have to be Mexico City. I’ve been to some really great ones, including Tokyo, Paris, Amsterdam, London, and a bunch of places in the US and Canada, but there’s something about the people, the colors, the art, and the amazing food there. It’s amazing. Check it out...
haha... Im from Riga, and when I saw Riga landscape when talking about Amsterdam it made me a think: "Riga is in Drews list of he's favorite cities in the world ... I dont care that it was a mistake, Riga is awesome too :)
Isfahan is fantastic. Laid back, friendly, beautiful city with a mind blowing sunset panorama from Mt Sofeh and its unique bridges are some of my favourite places of interest in the world! And it’s not even my favourite Persian city. Iran is awesome, thanks for including it. Good luck.
I can agree that Chicago is just wonderful, but my favourite city is Vienna. It has interesting history, stunning buildings and a unique vibe. I also love how there are busy parts and really tranquil parts so close to each other all the time.
So happy to see Hong Kong on your top 10 favourite cities!!! I miss my hometown so much... I've also been to four of your top 5 cities (except Beirut), I really love Prague and Seoul as well!!
I have been to Chicago cause It is like New York City. I went to the Navy Pier, my first time visiting Lincoln Park Zoo, Going to the Trip to the German Christmas Market, and when I was 8 years old back in December 2015, I went up to the Sears Tower and see the snow falling around the city.
@@ddiesel1836 I have family just outside Prague, have been on a couple of nice, civilised visits, loved it. Have also been on a stag do with about 15 reprobates, absolutely battered for the entire duration. Never felt any sense of danger whatsoever. Awesome place. Slightly inaccurate: on a night out in Prague, wife got wrecked on Absinth, got convinced that my face was actually a mask and started clawing at it to try and take it off. I was too wasted to realise what was going on and just took it. Bit awkward to explain to the in-laws the following morning.
My favorite cities that I've been to: 10. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 9. Hanoi, Vietnam 8. Stockholm, Sweden 7. Singapore 6. Sydney, Australia 5. Amsterdam, Netherlands 4. Bangkok, Thailand 3. Osaka, Japan 2. Paris, France 1. Hong Kong
Thank you, Drew, for the amazing videos! You must visit Plovdiv, Bulgaria - one of the oldest cities in the world! You are gonna fall in love for the entire your life! I promise.
Oh my, yes. I agree! Plovdiv is spectacular! I loved everything about it. The random ancient ruins everywhere, the friendly people, the interesting history - so much cleaner than Sofia.
Bro pause the video at 2:30 and see the flag, its a tri-color. If its Badshahi mosque then a tricolor flag is shocking and amazing at the same time. Peace 🙏
Excluding my home country of Australia here is my list. 1. Chiang Mai 2. Paris 3. Bangkok 4. Paris 5. Siem Reap 6. Ho Chi Min City 7. Nice 8. Florence 9. London 10. Jaipur
Never been in Isfahan or Beirut, so can´t comment on those. My favorite would be: 1. Prague (I agree with you great city) 2. Copenhagen (getting better and better) 3. Jerusalem (so much diversity and history) 4. Paris (yes lived there for 3 years and therefore maybe seen more than a normal tourist would) 5. Tokyo (love the people and the food) 6. New York (Chicago is ok, but N.Y is better) 7. Amsterdam (I guess we agree here as well) 8. Seoul (another place where we seem to like it) 9. Istanbul 10. Cape Town Beside this I love New Delhi as well, Bangkok, Katmandu, Skt. Petersburg, San Fransisco, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Florence, Athen (20 years ago), Berlin but there is just not enough to beat the cities above.
I have not been to Chicago, Lahore and Beirut, But I would agree and concur with Drew’s List, almost with the same ranking. Prague is indeed my number 1. I would replace Seoul with Bangkok. Beirut is on my bucket list but yet to see it myself. I would replace Lahore with Istanbul, taking the cruise between the asian and european side is my favourite moments.
I've traveled quite a bit, but not nearly as much as Drew. Honestly, some of the best cities are the smaller ones. These are my favorites that I have been to so far. 1) London 2) Charleston 3) Florence 4) New York 5) Dublin 6) Rome 7) Mainz 9) Seattle 10) Wiesbaden

Im from the UK too but spent most of my adult life in South-east Asia. Lahore didnt do anything for me; i was glad to get out after a few days. Hong Kong is fun but darned expensive. Chicago is awesome. Kuala Lumpur is my favourite capital and ive been back many times, friendliest capital city in the world for me.
@@Steveinthailand I am born and bred in the UK (from the Midlands) but with Pakistani heritage so I have some affiliation with Lahore because my father originate from there before my parents emigrated to the UK in the 60s. In fact, my best 3 cities that I have visited are Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok - even liked Manila and Jakarta too. I've visited Malaysia and Thailand numerous times, been to Singapore a few times, and visited Philippines and Indonesia once. I would like to visit Vietnam as well. @@brothersman524 In Pakistan my favourite destination was the Peshwar to Chitral route: really beautiful. I found the Pakistanis very hospitable and friendly. Even though i lived in Thailand for 24yrs (a year in Laos and Cambodia and a year and a half in Vietnam), Malaysia is my fave country for a holiday vacation (guess it makes a change to Thailand, especially the food!). Sure, i been to Singapore a few times too: its nice for a few days. If i can make a decent living ´work from home´, then i would head for the east coast of Malaysia: i luv the Kuantan/Cherating area. Penang also is real funky for a short trip. Malaysia´s my first Asian destination for a long holiday next year. In the meantime, im working me butt off saving money here in Salisbury down south. Stay safe! Stephen Cleary
@@Steveinthailand I agree that Pakistanis are very hospitable and friendly but it is not known for tourist destinations even though Northern Pakistan especially Hunza Valley area and Skardu are amazing. I agree that Singapore is amazing but after a few days, the novelty wears off. As for Malaysia, I have been to KL every time, stayed in Langkawi, Kuala Terrenganu, Redang Island, Perhentian Island and Penang. I have visited Malacca and Putrajaya as well. Since you love food in Malaysia - did you go to Jalan Alor in Bukit Bitang (KL)? I would love to visit Sabah - the Borneo part of Malaysia. I know where Salisbury is (Wiltshire) - I went there once. I live in the East Midlands. You stay safe in Salisbury, mate!

As a Chicagoan I'm glad to see Chicago isn't being overlooked as a great city to travel! Often people just think New York, Cali, and Florida when they think of the US. But Chicago is AMAZING!
@@cryptoffilth8711 Interesting to hear... I wonder what part of the city you were in? There definitely are parts that can be dangerous but if you travel with a little knowledge and use some discretion on where not to go, you would have no issues.
@@cryptoffilth8711 "I visited warehouses on the south side of Chicago..." HUH?! You're judging Chicago based on a warehouse district (on the south side, at that). Really? "...and stayed in a hotel in a suburb called Harvey." HUH?! You're judging Chicago based on a...suburb (Harvey, at that)?! Uh, really? Dude, there's over 9 million people living in greater Chicago, and only 24,000 of them live in Harvey. More importantly, Harvey is one of the very worst suburbs in Chicagoland.
@@cryptoffilth8711 "It sounds like you agree with me that perhaps not all of Chicago is "'AMAZING?'" Of course I agree with you-big deal. Dude, it's the third-biggest city in the U.S. What else would you expect? Maybe all of Tokyo safe, but urban America is different (e.g., Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, Milwaukee, D.C., K.C., Memphis, Cleveland, Oakland, the Bronx, Albuquerque, etc.). Last year, was rioting unique to Chicago? No. It also happened in Minneapolis, N.Y., L.A., D.C., Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, etc., right? For that matter, the urban Western Hemisphere is different. In case you didn't notice, nine-out-of-ten cities mentioned in this video are located in the Old World. What percentage of Hanoi is Vietnamese? What percentage of Seoul is Korean? What percentage of Prague is Czech? The fact is, it's much more difficult for hyper-heterogeneous cities (vs. ultra-homogeneous cities like Hanoi, Seoul, Prague, etc.). "It's sad that the people of Chicagoland have accepted that large swaths of their city looks and feels like a war zone" It's sad that the people of America have accepted that large swaths of their country looks and feels like a war zone. Of course, you're not one of those people, right? Okay, so what are you doing (to make violence magically stop across the entire country)? Last year, when large swaths of America looked and felt like war zones, what did you do (to make all those riots magically stop)? Chicagoland = the entire metropolitan area (e.g., Harvey) "their city" = Chicago proper There you go again (mixing up the two). "Are you saying that only the experiences of people who visit the wealthy areas of the city are valid?" Did I not make myself perfectly clear? Judging a city based on a warehouse district is illogical enough, but to judge a city based on one suburb is off-the-charts illogical. Dude, suburbs-like Harvey-govern themselves (duh). "Dude, I'm responding to a post where someone is saying, 'Chicago is AMAZING.'" Are you saying that only the experiences of people who visit warehouse districts and poor suburbs are valid?

I would love to visit Czech Republic one day. My good friend is Czech!
You must feel proud 😜
Thank you dear Drew for loving Isfahan! You have a good heart!!! May God bless and protect you and your family!

Imagine talking about czech people and showing a slovakian guy.
Honestly so many slovaks lie about being from czech republic (believe me, i am in scandinavia and every slovak ive met has lied) so he might not have known, and even if he knew, he didnt say "this is my czech friend" he just showed a video from prague. he is usually traveling among other foreigners
@@superbere but why would Slovaks lie and pretend they are Czech tho? it's kind of intriguing
@@eliosawaya8224 I was actually about to ask the same question
@@superbere oh I see, thanks for the information. I actually knew that Romania's reputation is not so good but I never thought that it was the case for Slovakia too. I even thought that Slovaks were actually pretty close to Czechs in terms of culture and traditions since they used to be one country.
Ahoj from Praha! I’m an American (Michigan) who moved to Prague (9) 4 years ago and it’s growing on me. I catch myself missing it when I go home for a few months every year. Awesome video! Cheers! Na zdraví!

I remember, We were in a souvenir store and the seller was very unconfortable servicing us and kind of implying how come you can travel while us are stacked selling souvenirs in a small store....for visiting few days perfect but not living there for sure...I can see people kind of tired of seeing visitors unless I repeat youcome from a rich country like uS or Germany maybe.
Ngl it has Way more social problems than mots of cities especially developped ones
Ive only been to about 30 capital cities. My favourite (which ive been back to several times) is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The people are so genuinely friendly, a benetton of local cultures and a great variety of delicious cuisine. Hong Kong is fun but so darned expensive. Chicago is my fave American city too
It really depends some are friendly, some are reallllyyy nasty. Haha.
KL is great for shopping, food, cost of living, and transportation. I lived a year there. The night life is pretty blah.
I've been to around 20 capitals. I would also put Seoul and Kuala Lumpur as my favorites.
Hong Kong could be very affordable and enjoyable if you know where to go sightseeing, how to use the public transportation and where to eat

Like you, my favourite city is where I studied abroad: Warsaw, Poland. It must be one of Europe’s most underrated cities but it has so much to offer, almost feels like a cooler, undiscovered slavic Berlin
I knew Prague was on the top of the list, I could see it coming.
I've watched such a big no. of Drew Binsky's videos that I could just predict it!
Mine is Mexico 🇲🇽 City. I have been to Prague when I was sixteen and it was amazing and cold when I visited in December 2013
Mexico City one my favorite city. People are friendly

World class infrastructure and shopping experience, yet with historical and modern mix, buildings and cultures, very hospitable and kind people and with various ethnicities that anyone from anywhere in the world can comfortably blend in, a truly food haven both local, international and fusion, and also the city is very affordable.

@@brothersman524 hello from Malaysia 🥰🥰
Thank you Drew, I’m so happy you enjoyed Afghanistan. Praying more people can visit and experience Afghanistan like you did and have the same opinion 🇦🇫🙏🏼
As a Chicagoan I'm glad to see Chicago isn't being overlooked as a great city to travel! Often people just think New York, Cali, and Florida when they think of the US. But Chicago is AMAZING!
But NYC has better pizza than Chicago...
@@cryptoffilth8711 Interesting to hear... I wonder what part of the city you were in? There definitely are parts that can be dangerous but if you travel with a little knowledge and use some discretion on where not to go, you would have no issues.
@@cryptoffilth8711 "I visited warehouses on the south side of Chicago..."
HUH?! You're judging Chicago based on a warehouse district (on the south side, at that). Really?
"...and stayed in a hotel in a suburb called Harvey."
HUH?! You're judging Chicago based on a...suburb (Harvey, at that)?! Uh, really? Dude, there's over 9 million people living in greater Chicago, and only 24,000 of them live in Harvey. More importantly, Harvey is one of the very worst suburbs in Chicagoland.
@@cryptoffilth8711 "It sounds like you agree with me that perhaps not all of Chicago is "'AMAZING?'"
Of course I agree with you-big deal.
"It's sad that the people of Chicagoland have accepted that large swaths of their city looks and feels like a war zone"
It's sad that the people of America have accepted that large swaths of their country looks and feels like a war zone.
Of course, you're not one of those people, right? Okay, so what are you doing (to make violence magically stop across the entire country)? Last year, when large swaths of America looked and felt like war zones, what did you do (to make all those riots magically stop)?
Chicagoland = the entire metropolitan area (e.g., Harvey)
"their city" = Chicago proper
There you go again (mixing up the two).
"Are you saying that only the experiences of people who visit the wealthy areas of the city are valid?"
Did I not make myself perfectly clear? Judging a city based on a warehouse district is illogical enough, but to judge a city based on one suburb is off-the-charts illogical. Dude, suburbs-like Harvey-govern themselves (duh).
"Dude, I'm responding to a post where someone is saying, 'Chicago is AMAZING.'"
Are you saying that only the experiences of people who visit warehouse districts and poor suburbs are valid?
@@cryptoffilth8711 "Listen, I'm over 50 and I've spent my whole life driving back and forth across this country."
Great. As for Drew, he's visited over 700 cities (traveling back and forth across this world).
"Ask anyone who spends a lot of time traveling in the USA..."
Uh, except for Drew?
"...and they will tell you..."
Uh, did you not watch the video?
"...Chicago is the ugliest, most lawless, absolute [...] dirtiest [...] in the entire country."
Really? Even more than Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, E. St. Louis, Milwaukee, K.C., Memphis, Cleveland, Oakland, Gary, New Orleans, Flint, Newark, Rockford, Philadelphia, Camden, etc.?
"JdeC1994 here has informed you that Chicago is a great place..."
Drew here has informed you that Chicago is a great place.
"...and you'd better agree or else."
Don't project.
Miss you bro love from Peshawar Pakistan 🇵🇰❤
my favorite cities are:
1 Medellin Colombia
2 Berlín Germany
3 Naples italy
Can I ask what you liked about Naples? Other than the food I'd say it's probably the worst city I've ever visited, I honestly felt safer in East Jerusalem than I did in Naples
Medellin?? hahaha
As a Hong Kong resident, I'm proud that my city is on this list. You're the best Drew!! 😀😀😀

Africa and South America: Am I a joke to you?

I love Santa Cruz de la Sierra it’s very underrated like the rest of bolivia
I was preparing myself go say that I haven't been to any of those cities ... but in fact, I have been in Prague 🤩 To be honest, I preferred Budapest but Prague is very cool and I love the beers 🥰 I've been in other Czech cities and Czech people are so friendly and hospitable (from my own experience)
I was waiting for Prague, and was glad you put it number one on the list!
Everything you said about the city is really true!
I studied there back in 2013 and I have been there 6 times after that. Its my absolute favorite city and I always want to return!
