Loved this song long before I knew what it was about. But anyone who has felt unrequited love should listen to it, to remember the other side of the story that to you seems a tragedy. If you have ever seen through the other side of the looking glass, you will understand the ecstacy of having the courage to realize your own need for liberty and personal happiness. You don't wish to cause inevitable suffering to someone who mistakenly believes you are crucial to their own contentment, but trying in futility to avoid this pain of life for them is not worth your peace of mind.
I’m honestly mad for not having discovered this sooner! So fortunate to currently be in a cafe right now, and hearing THIS song playing right now! Catchy tune, pure happiness!
I didn’t listen to HAIM before August 9 (LA Eras Tour, closing night), so that’s how I discovered it 😂 I had it forced on me, they were one of the two opening acts (and they’re also one of the bestest friends of my fave, Taylor, but I previously didn’t see that as a reason to listen to HAIM 🫣). Hearing it live was amazing. It was my first ever concert too. Listening to it now, on my phone, I really do prefer it in-person. Every musical beat, beating everywhere in your body ‘cause it’s so LOUD. And I do have to emphasize how LOUD it is in a stadium !!!! even earplugs for an 80%-deaf girl like me wasn’t totally enough. But it helped immensely and made it tolerable. (Guys, bring your noise-canceling headphones TOO, don’t just bring only the premium quality earplugs. The people that I saw, didn’t wear headphones, so I assume everyone just wears earplugs. I was often worried for everyone, even though everyone was having the absolute time of their lives).
Honestly, I never heard of them until SNL, but I think they're absolutely fantastic. I immediately bought their CD the next day. It's so refreshing to see real musicians in a day when we are force-fed other studio-contrived garbage music from TV talent shows.
I remember waking up for middle school and mtv music would come on and this song would always come on... and 21 now! I digged into my music subconscious 😭😭
Ezraielor seidl look, let's be real, have you ever seen a music video like this before? when a girl acts this way, she's a bitch. when a guy acts this way, he's a boss. what i meant is that the media overdramatizes the idea that women shouldn't be so miserable due to heartache, when in reality everyone is like this, even guys.
The damage is the same for both genders, the difference is on the intensity of the relationship, feelings, and etc. basically how fond and depended you become for whom seems to be your other half and be completely happy.
The lyrics are really interesting. Despite the kinda mean video, the lyrics are one of only a handful of songs I've heard that say, "Hey, neither of us did anything wrong, but I just don't think we work together, and I'm sorry I let it slide so long and didn't say this earlier".
Haim is awesome! This vid is funny as hell but it is kind of sad that is how young people treat relationships these days something that you can end via text message or you don't even end you just go out on the town with your new love and you let your old bf see you ha!
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Saw their performance on SNL and instantly fell in love with their music. And they have this natural down to earth beauty about them. I hope they don't cave to the industry and stay true to themselves. They don't need to sell their body because they are that talented. #ROCKONHAIM

to the critics: there ain't nothing new under the sun... gotta do it well, and these ladies do. the clean snaps, claps and sounds they reference to MJ at times... i believe HAIM will indeed go far and we need more to follow. 80's sound and style, welcome back :)

Calm down, and enjoy the music. And if you don't like it, just a bit of advice, you don't have to listen to it! Yayyyy :D

But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
But I just couldn't take it
I tried hard not to fake it
But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
It felt right, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
It felt right, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
It felt right, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
It felt right, oh
But I fumbled and when it came
Down to the wire
Ooh yeah yeah yeah yeah
No no no no
It felt right
It felt right
It felt right
It felt right
No no no no
But I fumbled it when it came
Down to the wire
Anonymous Anthropoid how can you get so much wrong?
The most amazing thing in this video is how Haim can also act so well. So talented omg.
god i love this band and this song so much, it never gets old
Loved this song long before I knew what it was about.
Currently, my favorite song. Well done!
They stole the song from the Eagles. ua-cam.com/video/Kcrs6XxUAqE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheEagles-Topic
I love how they sung this song😍
Música perfeita! Meninas superpoderosas!!!!! The Powerpuff Girls!!!!! 😍😍😍
That guitartrack is on to something. It's leading itself out of this song and out to freedom!
I literally thouht this was an 80s or 90s song lol I just heard it so many times I had to find it! I love it
Honestly, I never heard of them until SNL, but I think they're absolutely fantastic. I immediately bought their CD the next day. It's so refreshing to see real musicians in a day when we are force-fed other studio-contrived garbage music from TV talent shows.
Not only an amazing song, but what a well put together video!
I remember waking up for middle school and mtv music would come on and this song would always come on... and 21 now! I digged into my music subconscious 😭😭
Yupp! VH1 is the reason for my music taste now for sure
@@meriyalynnetoo me watching vh1
First time hearing this song! Hooked! Brilliant! HAIM 🤩 wOw……….🇮🇪🙏🇮🇪
refreshing to see a music video about men going through heartache when all we see nowadays is women "overreacting" over a lost relationship.
Refreshing that girls can joke about themselves overreacting by breakups and using Boys as a sort of mirror for that.
Anttonina lol had nothing to say now. Nice work Anttonina
Thats because women always overreact over a lost relationship :/ and they get away with any damage they do to the guy
0:00 "Somebody's gonna hurt someone, before the night is through."
Haim are awesome and so talented their songs are truly unique you can tell their work straight away before they start singing
Haim is awesome! This vid is funny as hell but it is kind of sad that is how young people treat relationships these days something that you can end via text message or you don't even end you just go out on the town with your new love and you let your old bf see you ha!
SNL brought me here. Great job ladies! iTunes...here I come!
me too now I'm a fan!
me too! saw you ladies on SNL and now I'm obsessed!
Me too!!
Me 3!
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Danielle is definitely my crush out of the three, all are beautiful but damn Danielle WOW!!!!
Mine’s Alana
Its Estelle all the way for me, even though I think that they're all HOT!
I never came across haim until spotify showed me in early 2020. Underrated band
Yay! i found this cool song!
That lead guitar near the end is awesome.
Saw their performance on SNL and instantly fell in love with their music. And they have this natural down to earth beauty about them. I hope they don't cave to the industry and stay true to themselves. They don't need to sell their body because they are that talented. #ROCKONHAIM
Completely agree! Relatable girl next door beauty.
First group find music video. On vh1 dope music artist watch and listen for 2013
The baby of the family is somewhat phychic.i can feel her feelers.
You know I'm bad at communication, it's the hardest thing for me to do
And it's said, it's the most important part that relationships will go through
And I'd give it all away just so I could say that
I know I know I know I know that you're gonna be OK anyway
You know there's no rhyme or reason for the way you turned out to be
I didn't go and try to change my mind, not intentionally
I know it's hard to hear me say it but I can't bear to stay and
I just know I know I know I know that you're gonna be OK anyway
Always keep your heart locked tight, don't let your mind retire, oh
But I just couldn't take it, I tried hard not to fake it
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
Does your imagination try to make you what you wanted to be
Because I'm sorry I do what I did, but it came naturally
And I gave it all away just so I could say that
Well I know I know I know I know that you're gonna be OK anyway
Well I try to keep myself together, after all the opportunities
I try to stay true to you and try to do what you wanted for me
And I'd give it all away just to hear you say that
Well I know I know I know I know that you're gonna be OK anyway
Always keep your heart locked tight, don't let your mind retire, oh
But I just couldn't take it, I tried hard not to fake it
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
Always keep your heart locked tight, don't let your mind retire
Always keep your heart locked tight, don't let your mind retire, oh
But I just couldn't take it, I tried hard not to fake it
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
But I just couldn't take it, I tried hard not to fake it
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great, it felt right, oh
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
It felt great (It felt right)
It felt great (It felt right)
It felt great
But I fumbled it when I came down to the wire
I can't help feel for these guys everytime I watch this. It's supposed to be funny but I just feel sad :(
lool I think is super funny xD
that means u don't have gendered assumptions about male behavior. not the most pc video in the world :D
I'd be crushed if Daniel dumped me.
they're gonna be OK anyway
Who are you replying to? Mout M. or Raissa?
Eagles influence without a doubt!! Yaaas!!
This is the first time I listened to a song by Haim. This is the last time I'll listen to a song by Haim.
Probably the best pop song since Lightning Seeds "Pure". I will forever love this perfect band.
to the critics: there ain't nothing new under the sun... gotta do it well, and these ladies do. the clean snaps, claps and sounds they reference to MJ at times... i believe HAIM will indeed go far and we need more to follow. 80's sound and style, welcome back :)
I can't believe this is 8 years old lmao
Saw Haim live in 2023 opening for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour 🫶🏼 visiting in 2024!! This was one of my favorites they played
I like how so many people are getting offended by how they dump the guys and they're heartbroken over it, when guys are usually portrayed as treating girls that way and it's fine... Calm down, and enjoy the music. And if you don't like it, just a bit of advice, you don't have to listen to it! Yayyyy :D
I kind of found it funny as a dude though, don't understand the haters lol
Ben Dover Oh I found it funny too, pretty sure it was meant to be humorous lol. I just didn't get why so many people found it offensive
Ben Dover Hehehe Ben Dover - Bend Over
Eumo567 I feel ashamed that that went right over my head..
I understand it's a joke, but do you really think 0 people would be offended if a male group made a video about girls crying profusely after the band dumped them?
I saw them at the Taylor swift concert last week.. I really liked them. Can't believe I never paid attention to them before. I laughed when all the moms and 10 yr olds complained...
SAME!! I went to a Taylor Concert about two weeks ago and they opnened for her! THEY ARE AMAZING! Shawn Mandes was there too and he was awesome aswell!
+A Pace Do you know what songs they played? Did they play this one?
+Keena Al-Wahaidi forever, the wire, days are gone and falling and something else but I forgot... It was the show in Boston ma
WTF were they doing at a Taylor Swift concert? That's the problem right there smh
daydrmnation they’re very close friends with TS lol
omg i miss this song so much .. i literally forgot the title and the band name . but after i heard the beat as the background of the autism twins video i try to remember the lyrics and then i type the whole thing and i found it !!!and thank god i found it 😭
Heard this song on the radio today, then UA-cam’d it and the comments directed me to “Heartbreak Tonight” by the Eagles. Just so happens The Eagles are playing is Toronto tonight and then bought tickets. Thanks HAIM
I'm bad at communication but I try by watching music videos and striking up conversations with strangers.
