This brought back a lot of memories of when I was a teenager and going to the mall was the place to go. You can get like $20 from your parents and get stuff with it and spend all day with your friends. The good ol days of being a kid 🥰😊
The Bentley Mall - I lived 2 miles from that mall on Farewell Avenue from '89-'93. Oh my goodness! Attended Lathrop High School. I remember a Zales, Claire's Boutique, Kinney Shoe (where I bought prom shoes), and McDonalds out in the car park area.
WHAT A MAGNIFICENT JOYOUS GIVING AND LOVING FAMILY YOU ARE. ALL FIVE OF YOU HAVE THAT GIFT OF THE SMILE THAT LIGHTS UP PEOPLES HEART AND SOUL. I WOULD FIND IT A GREAT HONOR TO KNOW YOU. GO IN GRACE FOR ABSOLUT ETERNITY AND BEYOND AND THERE IS A BEYOND.
I remember when malls were packed with people, eating, shopping and just hanging out. Those days are long gone. I haven’t been to a mall in over ten years.
When your beautiful kids handed folks a rose, the expression on their faces was priceless. You never know what kinda turmoil someone may going through and in doing that may have really brightened their whole day. In these times we find ourselves in, we could all give a little more compassion and kindness.
The mall by me was huge with about a hundred stores in it and it closed down store by store until the entire mall eventually closed. Now it sits vacant. So much can be done with that space and it just sits there.
The roses, and Buddy with a mouth filled with gum was so cute. Nashville has a few malls, but it's not as big of a thing here as it was in the past. We have a bunch of unique little mom and pop stores with items that you can not find anywhere else, they get alot of business here.
My goodness, those kids are precious! Love, love, love the children giving out the flowers. They truly seemed to enjoy that. So hard to believe how much they have grown, and we have grown with them. You are wonderful family to watch.
Growing up in Duluth, MN across the bridge in Superior, WI there was the Mariner Mall. As I got older times changed and stores started closing so it earned the affectionate nickname of Mariner Morgue. 🤷🏼♀️ but even the mall on the duluth side has changed a bit since I left home.
I totally loved that moment when Audrey was getting purposed to lol...her face said it all. It's ok daddy it won't happen for a while! But eventually! My daughter got her ears pierced when she was 5, she enjoys wearing them and now she's 12 and a half. Rose's are beautiful flowers and that's wonderful that your family did that, it's so awesome that you love blessing other's and teaching that to children. They will definitely remember all the wonderful things you taught them through out the years.
Bentley “hall” reminds me of all the stores that are out front of the PX on military bases. You would walk through a hall of little shops and kiosks to get into the military ID checked PX for your shopping.
I live in Los angels, more specifically the San Fernando valley and we have 3 malls in this area and and a few more around us! Some are bigger and more luxurious w more expensive stores, the grove is a popular one if you’re visiting LA, so is century city.

In Minnesota we have the MOA (Mall of America) which is over 2 hour drive from where I live. An hour away is St. Cloud Crossroads and an hour away in Brainerd is Westgate Mall.
The malls here in WI are getting smaller all the time. We lost all our big stores and the smaller ones are going out of business. Old Navy and Bath & Body seem to do the best in our malls. People can afford them more than the pricey stuff. I wouldn't pay over $20 for a hoodie or jeans. Top price for shoes $50. Your prices in that mall were over the top. Loved the sweet roses you gave out. Brought so many smiles to ladies.
We have some pretty nice malls in Indianapolis about an hour away, but we went to visit a military buddy of my husbands a few years ago in Iron Mountain Michigan...even smaller than your Bentley "Hall."
Our mall in Palm Desert Ca..the Westfield Mall is bankrupt but still open, 2 stories use to be very busy with lots of stores and there was an ice rink. They are not saying what the future holds but when we go we say it's on life support.
Love the footage of handing out the roses. The kids were so cute in their little outfits. Bentley Hall definitely counts as a mall, just on a smaller scale. I'd consider that a mall since our mall is very similar, but a bit bigger. It has the "hall" but one anchor store was Sears (no longer there) with JC Penny in the center and at the other end was another anchor store Macy's (which is gone as well). Between Penny's & Sears there is a shorter hall that goes goes go a final anchor store Elder Beerman's (which is gone too). Our anchor stores held on through to the early twenty teens sometime. Hoping for more of the men's hoodies soon in your outfitters , missed the last batch
Miss the Mall Rat days....black and white photo booth pics, curly fries, Orange Julius, Hallmark stickers, perfume samples and trolling for cute boys! Our mall is nearly vacant now. Just south of Atlanta, we have two areas that are each about 1/2 mile long of a shopping area. It's more of a shopping center than mall, but they consider it more mall like. They have Belk's, Macy's (anchor stores) at the ends with stores and restaurants in between. It's nice that it doesn't get snowy heree.

At one time we had a nice mall (rural NY), now we go to Erie PA ( 40 miles from home) mall more stores and no sales tax. Sweet Valentine Roses kindness. Blessings to all 😊🇱🇷
Our nearest mall in the Appalachian Mountains....over an hour away. It also includes many vacant spots. The "roses" segment literally caused me to cry. The children were dressed so beautifully...and handsome...but the smile on their faces said it all. What a great way to bless many Happy Peoples. Praying for your family always.
Only one or two malls are open around my area. The rest were sold and just sitting on property with no open stores inside. A massive amount of restaurant chains around the malls but that’s it. There’s a functional mall called Ross Park Mall in north hills aka Ross twp and a mall in Robinson twp. I’m in Pittsburgh, PA.
One of my friends used to work for the corporate offices of Payless. I was sad to find out they were closing all the stores due to bankruptcy. Growing up that was THE place to get shoes.
A lot of the bigger stores in our malls are closing down..many of them have been transformed into large indoor playgrounds/ trampoline parks. Even a forever 21 was changed into a car museum lol.
I live in Minnesota and we have the Mall of America which is huge and has pretty much any store you can think of and they are constantly adding more. We live about an hour away so it's a treat when we take the kids for the day. They also have an indoor movie theater, amusement park and of course numerous restaurants.
We have a shopping "resort" in the south suburbs of Denver called Park Meadows. Huge and expansive. We also have the original Denver mall called Cherry Creek which has really high end brands and boutiques $$$$$. Ironically enough until about 3 years ago it had a Safeway attached to it as well. Wonderful to visit and go out to eat! Always packed during the Holidays
i lived very near the cherry creek mall when i first moved to denver. i lived on louisiana off colorado blvd.. never heard of park meadows, must have gone up after i left in 2001
All I have in my small town in Arizona is a Walmart. Two hours from me is Flagstaff, and it has a nice mall. But we pretend that town doesn't exist. Three hours from me is Phoenix, and it has a few malls. Two of them are our favorites: Paradise Valley and Desert Ridge. They're neat. We're making a trip down there next weekend, so I'm pretty excited about that.

I live in las vegas and we have all sorted of shopping areas. We have malls, downtown areas that are just several blocks of stores outside, shopping in casinos..everything! I loved here from a small town where the mall went out of business and was being torn down because they couldn't afford to bring it back. Definitely was a change of scenery!
Largest mall in North America Canada (West edmonton mall.) Has a skating rink , huge indoor water park , go kart track , movie theater , indoor amusement park , shooting range etc
Hello Happy Peoples. It was warm and windy here today. Tucson Az has several malls. Sierra Vista has one mall, your hall has more open stores than sierra vista mall.
I live in Northeast Ohio...and we have no malls at all...they are all vacant...I kind of miss them...especially during winter...because I don't have to go outside to store to store....the kids were so cute giving roses....God Bless and see you next time...

Omg, that throwback video has me in tears. That is the sweetest thing ever. I remember getting a rose randomly. And it felt so good!
Oh my gosh we love your weather updates
I guessed you missed it, paradise valley mall is being torn down and they are making apartments there now.
@@ashleyrocha1028 I found that out last week. I’m so sad. Didn’t know what for until your comment, though.
We have the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. It is huge! Has everything!

Those girls were so cute in those matching coats. Great story about Valentine’s day
I live in Northeast Ohio...and we have no malls at all...they are all vacant...I kind of miss them...especially during winter...because I don't have to go outside to store to store....the kids were so cute giving roses....God Bless and see you next time...
