    Honestly, this is the best beginner music software I've ever heard of. I still can't make the slightest sense out of PC music software. But you can see on my channel playlist how quickly I improved using this "game"

    "They say limitations brings creativity" and I ALSO do believe there's something to this! As an animator, I started out with Flipnote (a long time ago lol) and part of the charm for it was the simplicity and limited tools that comes with it.

      It’s a great starting place, and most importantly it’s fun! Even if your not making anything particularly good, it’s fun to play around with which I think is the most important part of anything creative :)

      I hear you, I just kinda like the way it is an (almost) dedicated games console tho. Like they have web browsers on most consoles and they are terrible. I know it wouldn't hurt to have things like that on it, if you don't like it, don't use it etc, but I kinda admire the commitment to their vision

    I reckon you could pump out retro modtracker sounding tunes with ease with this. Are there any FM sounds?

    • @KutskiGaming
      @KutskiGaming  3 роки тому

      not sure tbh, there are some definite FM sounding presets in some synths but generally the controls are not that complex to assign different ocs to modulate others etc. It's more filters and ASDR type stuff, but I'm sure there must be some. I really haven't fully explored them all yet tbh, even after 35hrs, I found a few that are my 'go to' ones

    • @TomAnderson7
      @TomAnderson7 3 роки тому

      One of the synths, or gadgets as they’re called, is an FM synth pretty much “Chiangmai Mai” is its name. It’s great, sounds like the old Sega Mega Drive games console. You can create your own sounds and save them, build up a library of your own. I love it.
      There’s also Ebina which are FM samples from an arcade system by Taito. You can manipulate the samples really well. Keep in mind, it comes as dlc which you have to buy separately.

      Check out Composer coming at the end of October to Switch. It has an NES, Super NES, and Megadrive sound set...and it has a virtual piano you can use to play in notes, and its got full touch screen capabilities

    Would be great if you could plug a midi keyboard in!

    • @ender5528
      @ender5528 2 роки тому +1

      There is a workaround of sorts, software does support USB typing keyboard. Notes can be played off the keyboard...bottom row white keys, row above black keys.....then row above that white, above that black. Get 2 1/2 octave range. It's not 100% ideal yet better then nothing. Sidenote " tab " on keyboard toggles it from being what described above to being completly linear chromatic.

    • @PharoahsKingdom
      @PharoahsKingdom 2 роки тому +1

    Can you export tracks to the PC?

    • @KutskiGaming
      @KutskiGaming  3 роки тому

      not that i'm aware of unfortunately! not easily anyway. there is a way to share project with a series of generated QR codes. I guess that lets you import to the phone / tablet version and maybe from their you can export to the PC version? but I only own the switch version so I'm just theorising :)

    Can I export my switch file?

    • @DJKutski
      @DJKutski 2 роки тому +2

      Unfortunately not. There is an option to share tracks to friends using QR codes, but it’s really quite long winded / convoluted and I think that only allows you to import to another switch. The only way I found to ‘export’ is to record tracks out of the headphone output while playing a project

      @@Andy_DJ34M_Hiams I could do this one the main kutski page tbh. Only issue is I have never really used FL so not sure how great my perfective would be as I wouldn't have a reference to the original app I'm sure it is based on

    • @Andy_DJ34M_Hiams
      @Andy_DJ34M_Hiams 3 роки тому

      @@KutskiGaming yeah it may be tricky but then your review could be from your experience as opposed to a regular FL user. I've never really used a DAW period but did buy FL Mobile. I found it fairly easy but limited (I probably didn't understand all the functions tbf) and fiddly on a small screen. That combined with limited experience in DAWs and having two kids recently mean I gave up on it for now. I guess if you picked it up and smashed out a hardcore tune it would inspire me to give it a go. I'm sure it's entirely possible with the right skills time and motivation.
