Rain is OP he’s the most underrated general in shao Kahn’s army imo ppl love to hate him for his personality but it really matches his background I love him and milenna relationship and his ties to god hood he deserves a bigger role in the MK world

I played a Rain in the 90s on my video game consul, so it was not really a joke character... just needed unlocked. Rain was kind of crap for the most part until you learned to use his moves right, do the power move (insert the combo on your controller) ASAP you land a stun-blow to your enemy... the most common being the uppercut that most MK characters had at the time that makes the other guy go into the air, fall down, and need to get back up. Have something that lands on that character right as they stand, and it lands. Most of Rain's moves, his special character moves, are just plain easy to dodge. After playing a few rounds of Rain, I realized that playing any other character was better. Then again, post 90s (2000 and after), Rain might be an actually great character... kind of like how Street Fighter ruined Dan (the character that if we beat you with Dan, we can brag that we beat you with Dan...the Dollar Store version of Ryu or Ken).
With how bad Grayson usually BUTCHERS names, it’s surprising that he didn’t pronounce Rain as “Rah-een” or some shit. I literally only sub to this channel to hear Grayson’s absolutely disrespectful pronunciations.

In my opinion, Rain is the most disrespected Mortal Kombat ninja. He was in UMK3/Trilogy with an amazing ending. Then he misses Mortal Kombat 4 when Edenia was free. Missed opportunity to use him. Missed Deadly Alliance but Hsu Hao who was hated before he even made it off the drawing board was in. Appeared in Deception's Konquest mode as an NPC in his klassic skin...which was his only design at that point. Was the only ninja character that missed Shaolin Monks. FINALLY brought back in Armageddon and was dlc in mk9. Was an NPC boss in X like Baraka and Sindel. However, unlike the two formers, who used the mk9 designs with graphical updates, Rain had a new outfit with concept art & He played a HUGE role in the story. He didn't make the cut but Ferra/Torr did ? Tf outta here. He was DLC AGAIN in 11 and missed the story but Frost, D'Vorah, Kollector, Cetrion, and Skarlet are in. Notice how NONE of them are in mk1. Killed off early in Annihilation. I hate the way he's treated. Glad he's back in Mortal Kombat 1.
