Your results look great! I've run into similar mismatches between SD and group size. Hate that. Sometimes I've been able to fix it by playing with seating depth. I like your rifle a lot. Glad they made the AR mag version.
Oh I know, I have had that happen with a few other rifles. Now that I know this rifle will stabilize the 75s Ill take the modified case and load off the lands and see what happens. Thanks for watching buddy!
I pick my rifle up today, have a Rem 700 that I’ve had about 20 years, it digests almost any ammo and prints groups that are really impressive. I gave that rifle to my son though so now I’m hoping this rifle is equally as impressive. I have dozens of hand loads for the .223, my favorite is 52grain Varmint grenade behind TAC (Ramshot).
I have a 12.5 inch barrel 5.56 bolt rifle with a 1:7 twist. Hornady 75 grain BTHP with Reloder 15 has been my best accuracy so far. (AVG 1.5 moa bipod 4X scope.) Still chasing the perfect powder charge though. Will be trying some 55 grain bulk fmj and H335 next time out. You were getting some pretty good accuracy there with some of those loads.
If you have any Ramshot TAC its magical on heavy grain 223. Ive shot my best groups to date with 68gr hornady match over 23.7gr TAC. It also meters like water and can be loaded in a progressive.
Great data, man I wish my Savage .223 build would chuck empty brass like this rascal does. I even rebuilt the bolt and empties just barely fall out the side even with a aggresive rack of the bolt😮
This is the next Ruger American on the list. One of the nicest things about this is I don't have to worry about buying a new caliber of ammo to shoot in it!
Good shooting.. I liked the second group especially! It shot great really.. I'd like to see for my own selfish purposes this rifle exactly, but with a 55 or 53 grn Vmax bullet or something like that for Coyote hunting.. You were shooting pretty fast and the barrel must have been a little hot after shooting awhile.. That second group was great! All of them were good for sure.. The deviation was wonderful.. Handloads rock! Thanks so much man! Regards from South Central Indiana. USA Tim
Good stuff 🇦🇺👍. Love the 75 grain projectiles ... I bet you could fry a egg on that barrel...Perhaps you took a break ? Good video, I like how you record the results 🏁👍See you next time 🤓
Yeah but full disclosure this is the second one. I had the first one for a little over a year and it worked great. Then all the sudden it would only give an error code when turned on. I contacted Caldwell and in their defense they took care of the issue and just sent me another one. I'm at about 6 months on this one with no issues so far. I will say the app that you can put on your phone would not work for me so I just use the Chrony as a stand alone unit. For the dollar spent its been a good one imo. Thanks for watching buddy!
Friend... a question... isn't it very low speed even though it is a heavy 75 grain tip and the barrel is short... shouldn't it be at least 2800 speed...?
Its kinda relative in my mind if the outcome is favorable. Only thing that may be diminished is performance at distance but I only have up to about 500yrds I can shoot at so it doesn't hinder my ability to hit targets. Plus less powder and heat your putting through your barrel the better imo. Thanks for watching!
Great video as always. I've been looking at getting the Ruger American 5.56 rifle with the detachable mag, but with the Covid 19 lockdown haven't been able to find one at a reasonable price. I definitely like the rifle!! To bad that I "live behind the lines" in Marxist Commiefornia, or I would love to have that Gemtech can to save what hearing I have remaining from all the 50+ years of shooting!!! Stay Safe and Watch your Six!!!
I've four Ruger Americans, A very light lapping and a spot of oil, a lighter spring for the trigger, and a couple of carbon fiber arrow shafts epoxied into the fore end. A small amount of effort, and they outshoot their price tag by a factor of four.

Thanks for the info. I dont have any but will keep my eye out. Thanks for watching!
Yup that info matches up to what I found. Love that rifle!
I would like to have a little more velocity with that one load but accuracy/precision is spot on with it.. Thanks for watching!

You can fix that with a few small tools if you like: ua-cam.com/video/-E3FQoZzTLY/v-deo.html I had the same problem on two of my Savages.
Yeah no question about it, Ruger got their extraction on point for sure.. Thanks for watching!

And the AR mags are way cheaper to buy then the 5 round mags the original came with that the lack clip would brake off.
Wow I just saw this video and noticed that I commented on it a year ago. I still can't find this rifle!

Great results .
Hello
Just picked one up.
Cfe 223,H322 gives me the best speeds and accuracy with the 70-75s
I’ve found with the horandy black 75 grain bthp was some of the most accurate ammunition I’ve put through this rifle
Awesome ill have to keep my eye out for some to try. Thanks for watching..
I've been looking at getting that crony, pretty positive experience so far?

Are you shooting with a suppressor or is that a muzzle break wrapped with foam rubber?
Its a suppressor, thanks for watching..

Sportsman’s guide has em for $455 not including shipping, tax, etc
Interesting. Is the bolt action feel as rough as it looks?
Out of the box its got some roughness to it, but after a 100rds or so its super smooth. Thanks for watching..

Think your groups would have been tighter using AR COMP powder
Maybe so, thanks for watching..
Exactly
Oh-Jive
Hornady Frontier 75gr , better groups for 71 cents a round
How much this price
Hi one question what gunpower do you use to the munation
IMR 4320 in this one. Thanks for watching!
