for new year journalling my sister writes a list of each month of the year and each fun thing she did within it (not like average fun thing but like concerts, trips and stuff) personally I just write a list of three vague "goals". One of mine last year was to try and look after my health which I did by trying to get over my fears of making medical appointments. I think a vision board always seemed a little too focused for me and goals like that don't really have a "vision" but for more idealistic stuff I guess it works, I just try and have lower expectations on myself and aim for things that I can control a bit more.
