yokohama, a beautiful, cozy city to live in, 30 min train ride from tokyo, 30 min to haneda airport, in the same prefecture there are kamakura & shounan area(30 min.) and odawara & hakone (60 min). how ideal!
I went to Yokohama for half a day during my trip to Japan back in December and I was impressed with how beautiful Yamashita Park is and how impressive the building architecture is in Minato Mirai. Very futuristic indeed!
Been a silent follower most of the time, I'm glad your channel grew so big in this amount of time. No clickbait, subtitles and actual dedication to your videos. That's what needs to be on trending. Keep up your work I love it. Cheers!
Could you maybe have your wife do a video on where she goes to buy her skincare and cosmetics in Japan? Specifically items not found in the USA, especially sunscreen.
You forgot to mention how to _get_ to central Yokohama. The most convenient is the _F Liner_ service from Shibuya Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. From Tokyo Station, ride the JR East Keihin-Tohoku Line train, which will also get you into central Yokohama.
I went to a concert in Yokohama last month. I'm actually not a fan of the cities but I fell inlove with Yokohama despite being the center of commercial businessess and ports. If you are a nature lover, Sankeien Garden is a must visit place in Yokohama. There's nothing much to see in the Cup Noodles Museum but the Make-your-own cup noodles is so fun! My parents enjoyed designing their own cups. There's also a breath-taking view at the park just behind the Pacifico Yokohama.
Honorable mentions, I include Morinaga chocolate and sweets factory, ramen museum in Shin-Yokohama, and Sea Paradise aquarium/aquatic show/amusement park.
Been married to my Japanese wife since July 1977. I'm retired from the Navy and we lived in Yokosuka, Negishi Hts (Yokohama), Kami Seya, and on Okinawa. Really miss Japan.
Yokohama was one of many cities that I worked and lived in, while I was in Japan. I spent quite a bit of time around Sakaragicho, World Porter's Mall and Cosmo World. I really like that spot, its just so beautiful there. The fireworks are incredible to watch. And the Farris wheel is a romantic ride. I didn't try the rollercoaster though.
Love that you had a beer and ice cream here! Too great! Heading to Yokohama today. I am excited for more adventures. Thanks for the great tips. I love your channel.
Last time I toured Japan, I rode my bicycle from Tokyo to Yokohama following along the Sumida river and riding along a bunch of different channels . It began as a small bike ride from Tokyo station and turned into me riding into Yokohama Park. It's such a beautiful place to ride around and get lost.
Hello Paolo, thank you for your video on Yokohama, my wife and I have never been to Yokohama, so this trip we left from Yokohama on a 16 day cruise. Whilst in Japan we went to Amimoto Izu as you recommended and absolutely loved it. we have been to quite a few places in Japan over the years, besides Tsukiji and Sushi Zanmai this is right up there form me. Thank you and keep the great video content coming. You never seem to tire of making videos, as some other you tubers seem to lack heart and passion. Keep up the great work, maybe one day we will cross paths.
Hi Paolo! Had a couple of days in Yokohama and made good use of some of your tips! Some I couldn't enjoy because of corona, but maybe next time. Thank you so much and keep doing videos!
here’s what you do: you either join a certain detective agency down the block or the mafia. that’s it edit: is that park the same park atsushi was at when he talked with dazai about the headmaster’s death... ugly sobbing
I am in Yokohama today and stumbled on a Christmas foods and goods fair at the Red Brick Warehouse area. Free entry for weekdays until 16 Dec, whereupon 500 yen admission under 25 Dec (and for all Saturdays between now and Christmas). Would not have checked it the area without Pablo's recommendation.
Thank you so much for making this video! It really shows that you really do listen to your fan's suggestions and comments. You are the one that I constantly watch week after week :)
Wow great video as always the production of your videos is amazing thanks. Yokohama looks really nice place to visit definitely going on our must visit places 😀🏴🇬🇧
This video is perfect timing as i fly to japan on Monday night and i am staying in Yokohama for my first week!! On a side note i bought a Japanese sim card from Mobal on your recommendation and in their comment box i let them know i found them through your youtube channel.
I’ve been to Japan a lot I used go to Japan every summer (when winter was in Australia) I love CosmoWorld and if yo7 see the little girl and grandma that might be me
I know that you probably are not going to read this post but I do want to thank you because I was in Japan three weeks ago and your videos were so useful for me. Thank you! I watched a lot of them before going and I knew about places because of you. I do want you to consider the idea to make a video about vegan and gluten free restaurants in Tokyo. I have a vegan life style with a gluten free diet and it was so difficult to find places sometimes with this diet restrictions. I found one in Kyoto with a totally GF and vegan kitchen that it was amazing. Thank you Paolo.
Bravo , beautiful video. Thank you , grazie! Yokohama is a stunning city!! I'm really glad you made a top ten Yokohama video! I thought I could also find the ramen museum in the top ten! But in some way ,it' s the same ,cause you showed us a beautiful ramen shop 😀😁😄 . Ciao ,greetings from Italy
THANK YOU for making this video! It's like a coincidence finding this video. We're most likely moving to Japan, if so, we were thinking of moving to Yokohama. It's funny you mention the Olymipcs, because the 2020 Olympics are being held in Tokyo this year. I just wish I could be there to watch!
We used o go to China town and the harbor there, Such Fun!! My buddies and I got off the train in northern Yokohama and walked all night from Beer Machine to Beer Machine staying buzzes all night. Looking back not the brightest thing we did but memorable.
Amazing guide as usual. I have good memories going to Yokohama. I think you could've made a longer section for china town though. It's actually huge, it has a beautiful temple and there are many interesting stores to explore. Like a photo studio where you can change into chinese dress and have your photo taken. If i'd ever go again china town would be once of the few places I'd like to visit again.
Yokohama was great ,we had a nice day with a freind, (who paid for everything o.O), Also Cup Noodels, I also remember the woman at the noodel Station XD I had Curry, with Chicken, Pork, Garlic and Cheese. Yamashta Park was nice, there was Dragonboatfestival at that day, but weather was a bit cloudy so we cant see good over the bay. Thx again for the tipp with Mobal, I choose it and it helps me a lot, also the free beer at Hub Pub was nice^^
Hi Paolo, two attraction that was not mention is the Nissan headquarters building, Very interesting and you can get to drive their new mini EV. Another attraction was the Modern Home display centre opposite the old Yokohama Museum. They have the latest home building techniques in japan housing industries and latest off grid homes setup and on display which blow me away. There is about 20 home on display. All in the centre of Yokohama. I could spent the whole day there.
I am born in Tokyo and I structed here in corona .But I really miss Tokyo so much and I like India also but the weather and many things are different here so I again want to go to Tokyo again
Hi, I love all your videos, super informative and entertaining! I am visiting Japan next year and follow a plant-based diet, if possible it would be cool to see more veterinarian/vegan friendly restaurants and foods like how you mentioned Afuri in this video!
Paolo this video is awesome.. I watched it twice already trying to get all the notes I can for our trip next year!! The cup noodle museum, ramen at hechikan, the bbq and obviously the sushi place are gonna be a must visit for us The whole list is amazing! Your videos are always amazing and very helpful.
