Thanks for the vid. Although this is for A level, I am actually watching this as a master's student who is studying identity and social relations in the Japanese language and am currently reading a study by a Japanese researcher (Tomoko Kumagai), about the differences between Japanese and American remedial interactions (i.e. the act of apologising). Very insightful overview of face and much appreciated. Thank you!
Amazing video! Had to rewatch it 2 times but there's no shame in that. I now completely understand it after making a few notes, and feel comfortable utilising this theory i upcoming assessments. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling with these terms I could not understand them and associate them. however, your video made everything seem clearly to me. thank you again for your videos ;)
i just stumbled upon this and am fascinated. i want to learn more about this topic!! exactly what field of study would it belong to? i know the channel name has “A Level English” in it but i’ve never learned anything like this in the English classes i’ve taken. thanks in advance 😝
