Welcome to my review of the original monster truck, BIGFOOT! This model is based on the 1/10 scale 2-WD Traxxas Stampede truck-a proven chases model going back roughly two decades.
If you're a fan of hobby grade radio controlled vehicles, this video will give you many of the key details you need to know about BIGFOOT-a truck that's simply packed with features, and a whole lot of fun to drive!
I honestly loved operating this truck and would not hesitate to buy one myself. It's fast, tough, and super responsive to its RC controls, not to mention an absolute beauty to look at.
Please enjoy, like, and share this video, and subscribe if you haven't already. And, as always, thanks to all for watching, and have an excellent day!
I got this last weekend. It is bad ass! I was impressed that it will do a wheelie.
Dude my dad was proud of it when he got it for me
Man, that running-sound is the smoothest I have ever heard in RC history...Speed is also awesome for a brushed motor.
I realize I'm kind of off topic but do anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Finnley Kaiden flixportal :P
@Tony Saint Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!!
@Finnley Kaiden happy to help :)
Good video and review. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I appreciate you not just showing a slow motion video for 5 minutes...that's what everyone else seems to do with all of their RC videos. I want to see the truck in real time speed and that's what you did. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching! I used to get a lot more of these things to test, but I rarely get ahold of the really good ones anymore.
I recommend this sucker. Just came in from driving it around. It is real fast. So fast if u step on the gas, you have a chance of doing a wheelie. It is decent with climbing, and just plain fun in general
Nice review. From what I have seen the Bigfoot is great for doing tricks and bashing around on a track with small jumps and obstacles. It moves quite well with the brushless setup. I definitely have my sights on this truck as my next buy. Plenty of parts available for keeping it going. I think 2wds are more challenging to drive but that's what makes them fun. 👍👍
Just got one. Santa came late. Solid rig, surprised on acceleration n take off. Really scoots along. Thanks Traxxas, my 3rd purchase.
Good job good luck and good life but quality and safety first 👍🥳😍 weldone
A really cool RC car and nice vid.! This car is a wannahave ❤
new wheels and a wheelie bar make it a whole lot better. Smile
Awesome truck! Wish I owned it myself, but only got to test it for a week or so. Might pick one up eventually though.
If they make it in 4x4 I'd buy it in a heart beat.
Me too, I'd totally be down for that!
You could just buy the body and stick it on the 4x4 Stampede! I'm sure the standard body mounts will work.
Ohio Libertarian You may want to see if Traxxas has parts to put this body on a 4x4 Stampede. I remember seeing one at my local hobby shop. The only thing I don’t like about the 4x4 Stampede is the toe-in on the rear wheels.
just ordered it for my nephew Christmas present.. hope he likes it
@@LeoBond lol I was thinking the same thing.. as long as his dad's there with him should be ok .. good thing it has a training mode where it's only 50% power
So, the vast amount of parts available for the Stampede all fit the Bigfoot right?
Enjoyed the video! Thank you!
Need some weight in it, mostly to the front, but with 2s it can be a good one.
Not worth for the money, but this is the good old MT feeling. For someone like me, it is worth it.
Most ppl know the Legendary Grave Digger.but not sure how many know the Legend KING BIGFOOT.my childhood truck."THE ORIGINAL MONSTER TRUCK"....Bigfoot 4ever !
I know and love that truck
I got that truck but its not working for years and years :/
Wish they had this in 4x4
Me too!
4x4 does mean additional under-steer, and largely inability to drift
@@shellshocker571 yeah thats what i did
I would be alot more expensive though.
@Soren #1 I don’t care about that lol.
Nice review my friend. I just bought one this morning. Ur video helped me make my decision. I just subbed to ur channel 👏🏻👌🏻from Denver Colorado
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate that!!
Wannabe Boomer no thanks needed my friend
The cooling fan bit isn't unique to just the Bigfoot model but any brushed Traxxas model as they all use the same Titan 12 turn motor.
I’m gonna get me that TRUCK when I’m fully grown
Funny how the cab says 4x4 but it’s just a 2wd stampede
Hello from another Nova Scotian. I'm really looking to get this truck; is it worth it? Is it still running?
Howdy! Actually I only had it for a 2 week testing period, but I absolutely loved it. I don't currently own any RC vehicles, but this is what I would get if I had the opportunity. I'm currently living in an area where using it would be difficult, otherwise I'd consider getting one. I do think it's worth it, but I'd be trying to find a sale or something just to get the best possible deal. The thing with these trucks is that sometimes something breaks and needs a replacement part, so upkeep has to be factored into the buying decision.
I wish Losi came out with this body style in their LMT. At least we’d have 4x4 and some good power
Is this out the box or did u do upgrades
When Traxxas came out with Bigfoot I was that close too ordering one until I read ... 2wd, talk about BUMMED
I just bought one today. I put paddle tires on back and the thing rips through 4 inches of snow and launches off drifts. I got a better quality battery. Its all my 8 year old wants and its still fun for me. Best 350 Canadian I've spent on an R/C in a while.
Sounds like it actually has some fun features of it being 2wd
A 4x4 brushless would be amazing
i remember back in the early 90s my older cousins had r c monster trucks no bigfoot but they did have grave digger and a couple others ..well actually it was just one chasis that they used and would swap out different body kits grave digger ,detroit diesel
So does a Stampeded body mount on it too? With out mods? That would be kind of cool.
It’s a nice truck. I did crack my body when I filled it off a kerb
Ouch!
Haha I did that
@@LeoBond hey is it water proof when unboxed
@@chickenstroodle822 I mean like no troubles in the rain, but I wouldn’t soak it. I slide mine into a pond in winter well I had to wait a few weeks for it to dry out
I got the body and I customized it with a two tone red and white paint and put it on a HPI savage 4.6 nitro with some giant tires it looks awesome I will post a video
Habe den Truck auch und er macht mega viel fun!! Fährst du mit 2s oder 3s?
Beste Grüße von einem RC UA-camr aus Deutschland.
Sadly I only got to have it for a couple weeks for testing, but not to keep. It's a very cool truck though, and now super hard to find. I should have bought one when I had the chance. Thanks for watching!
Got mine this week and It turned out bigger and faster than I thought.
Same crashed and broke min the first day
A boat? Where? hahah. nice review.
Whats the best battery for it ?
It's not the first monster truck. It's the first monster truck to be seen on television.
Nah, Bigfoot is regarded as the first monster truck period.
@@AndrewRhodes There is no way to know without a doubt, that no one else made a truck like this before Bigfoot. It doesn't make sense to think that nobody else had built one before.
Thank you
Having problems finding the all blue body, just the white flame version. Anybody?
What is it running. Its not very fast
Does this come with bushings or bearings
Ok thanks. From what I remember my brushed rustler had bearings in the transmission but all the wheel hubs had bushings
wow nice
I have that Bigfoot but mine is sooo rekt up because it’s sooo fast
Is this stock brushed
I believe it is but am not 100% sure.
Ya it is I have the same one
If you get the ez peek charger the original battery takes only a half hour to charge
Great info, thanks!
My one complaint is how they going to call it a Bigfoot and make it 2 wheel drive
Love bigfooot looks fast but it’s not even 4 by 4 so pretty pants for a monster truck
👍👍
Mine only turns the wheels but won't accelerate
you might need a new motor or try the set button on the remote
@@crispinshipp2624 I just bought this truck today, and what exactly does the "set" button do?
@@jimdownie671 it reverses throttle and steering somehow. it took a few tries for me and my brother to do but you should be able to figure it out
Im getting me one!!!! ASap!!!!
It’s only one battery come but we ordered another battery
Good idea!
I Know how to do break it’s all the way reverse
Wasn't bigfoot 1 a f250
Yes, that sounds right.
Yes, the original Bigfoot was a 1974 F-250. Not sure why the creator of this video said it was an F-100 Ranger, but that’s incorrect.
top speed plizzzzz
The box says it's a 1974 truck but it has a 1979 grill.
Watched a video of Bigfoot creator Bob Chandler talking about how he got the truck in '74 and was constantly upgrading the tires, axles, engine, and then eventually the grille over then next five years. So the original is a '74 but with a '79 facelift.
My cousin Troy drove Bigfoot for a couple years but he broke his back in Canada at a show so he can’t drive it any more
GIVEAWAYYYY
It’s 500 dollers
Negotiable
thats not scale, its a stamp with another body plus int ant a clod!
Not sure why anyone would buy this at the price its at, surely its better to get a 2wd stampede
It's true. It didn't cost this much when it first came out. I don't know what happened, but the current price is ridiculous.
@@LeoBond Ah, that explains it.
i have a son ov a digger from like forever ago
Cool!
I need one of these! In the meantime I’m having fun with my little Big Foot: ua-cam.com/video/ePkUQDqN_3o/v-deo.html
It doesn't come with foam in the tires. What a piece of crap Traxxas is.the replacement tires that tracks the sales will have foam in them but that will cost you an additional $60
Your shaky cam made me nauseous!
