I like the 3D quality and didn't have a problem with the price. However, the predominant 3D logo turned me off, so I bought the Taptes It's a shame 3D Max loses sales just to promote their brand.
I had the Taptes mats, and after a year a lot of the rubber dots fell off on the opposite side of where my feet normally are. It left the footwell filled with the rubber dots, a pain to clean out. I also didn't feel like the mats was secure enough as with mats secured with pins to the floor.
I have the original 3D Max Spider. They got scratched very easily, so they don't look new, and the 3D logo is to big (actually I will try to color them black). I wish I just bought the cheaper copy (I even considered just using Tesla's instead)
Hi Andreas, can you let me know how they held with time? Some other comments imply they don't hold with time it seems. I am considering buying some too. Thank you
Speaking of made in China... The internets are full of rumors that Tesla is exporting SR+ from Shanghai to Europe. It would be great to get a review of one of those MIC cars. Build quality, paint etc. See if you can get your hands on one when they get there! Thanks for the video.
I'm very disappointed by their customer service. There was a shipping problem with my order, and now they are not responding to my emails since one month! Ordered floor mats and cargo liners on september 2020, got only floor mats. Cargo liners were shipped on early december but there was a shipping problem with Germany customs and package was returned to sender. It's been more than a month now without any feedback from them, and they are not responding to my requests.
These didn't fit well at all for me on my 21 MY 5 seater. The front had gaps on each side and the rear cargo mat slid around with gaps, making them not worth the cheaper price since they won't keep snow/dirt/rain from getting down into the gaps. I ordered the revised 21 fit version so that wasn't the issue. I just think the fitment is not as good and you should spend more money and get the ones that fit better
Check out Ontario-based highly rated Tuxmat Floor & trunk mats. For Tesla owners, superior fit than 3D mats & lower prices. Easy to find UA-cam reviews by Tesla owners.
I have the taptes wireless charger, seems to be every bit as good as the Jeda. Except it costs less than half and has vaugely sane EU shipping options.
I have the 3D max spider I do need the trunk/hatch floor (model s). One question is there any smell? You know that rubber smell. You did not mention it so I am guessing no. The max spiders didn’t smell
No smell at all. But the Finnish mats from EcoAutoMatto did smell a lot all the time. And it took a long time before the smell went away even after I removed the mats.
I know it’s cheaper, but I would spend the extra money for the company that made the good stuff, not the copy cat Chinese that didn’t pay royalties for use of the idea/pattern. Copying doesn’t bring innovation or new products for us to enjoy.
what idea, what pattern? the shape is dictated by the floor, the upper material is bought from a 3rd party and they didn’t include the velcro on the bottom (which would still be ok).
It does in fact contribute innovation as you have to get innovative how to make your products sell, make the service, support competitive and so on. If your products can easily be replaced by a copycat with nearly no reduction in value to enduser, your products weren't very innovative to begin with.
@@Arag0n I guessing if you can afford a ~45,000 € + car you can spend the extra $50 bucks to buy the real thing. Why would you want to get a substitute? Cheaper does not always mean a better product. As with most things in life, you get what you paid for. If that’s the case, then why buy a Tesla?
Cheaper and no obnoxious logo. That’s a winner!
Half Chinese, Half Norwegian, Half German, and Half Thai, basically 200% man! Great reviews as always
I loved this guy the first time I saw him if you want an honest review your in the right place.

lmao, that stupid logo is having the opposite effect.....I too am happy with my 3D, but hate the logo, so going with a copy instead. Morons
I used a hair dryer and a bit of heat seem to straighten folded mats out more.
Thanks for the tip :) I will try.

Now that the Model 3 production (for EU cars) is moving to China, the Chinese floormats *are* the original.
"Made in china" is the new "original" now :)
Only SR+, rest of M3 production for EU stays in USA.
Nice one mate 😂
With floor mats it’s all about the smell. Some plastics really leach strong smells for the longest time! Love the look of these mats.
Love you Bjorn,.. ;). You make great vidéo for all around the world. Here right from Québec, Canada. Keep your great job.
"Half Norwegian, half German, half Chinese, half Thai"...100% ninja!!! 🥳🥳🥳
That makes him 300% Bjorn! 🤣😂
The best floor mats are still the ones from Tesla. Had them for over a year. Not one single problem and fits perfect!
No problems with these also and they also fit perfect.
Thanks for the feedback
It great to hear about the Tesla branded mats. I was wondering how the drivers side fits. Are there any gaps on the sides?
@@timothymaxwell8912 nothing. Much better then any others

I always wonder if they sell the units that don't hit quality control standards under a different company but much cheaper / to a different company.
Bjorn, try a heated hairblower to make the trunk mat return to its original shape. Worth trying.
One day in a south Florida summer will fix that bad boy pretty quick.
Thank you for such a good comparison!!!
Nice passionate review. Thank you.
I think it is possible to hold the floor mat in the trunk down with some clear mount tape to make it flush with the floor.
Or a strip of velcro tape
Bought mine direct from Taptes last December, I can recommend these as well. Replaced some I had from Gytis for a couple of months.

Nice video, but I’m hoping that one day you will test the new Lucid Air car, can wait
Are the chinese floor mats available in the US? Amazon link?

hello, a test with nio es6 when we see?😁
if you're in four halfs, should'nt you be quaters?
Thank you for testing!
He's twice the man we are 😄
Just saying
That brand "3D" is from Taiwan, not China.
It's made in China though.
Cheaper ? By how much ?
And, it doesn't slide. Does that mean the 3D mat would slide ?
I like the Taptes mat. I sold the Model 3 and ordered the BMW i4 M50. Does the the company make mats for other cars, sure as BMW?
I ordered sunroof shades for model 3 off eBay and they were completely wrong and they still won't give me my money back.

What? 3rd party products are commonly used. Why pay more just because a mat has a brand name on it?

Stay away from taptes brand. Ordered my floor mats for 4 months ago... Every time I contact customer support I hear the they will be shipped soon....
Did they eventually come? Im going through the same thing as you right now
Yoooo wattssup)))))
Weathertech beats both of them.
Negative, doesn't have the same coverage, the high sides keep the water in and off the carpet
Almost the same is code for it’s 💩.
I prefer the original than a cheap Chinese knock off.
