Happy Birthday! Concerning your comments on the guy from Costa Rica who learned to operate a drilling rig by watching your channel, There is a wheelwright/wainwright (wagon builder) who has a shop in Joliet Montana. His YT channel is Engle's Coach Shop. The purpose of his channel is to document a dying trade. He calls his channel "The visual encyclopedia for the wheelwright/wainwright." Though the well drilling trade may not be dying, it is still an important reference for the future of the trade.
Thats guy over on Engels Coach Shop is good it everything he touches. black smiting, leather work, upholstery work, woodworking, wheel wright, restoration, rebuilding,... ...
@R_B62 Yes. I have watched him for years. I not only love his content, but I appreciate the fact that his goal is to make his knowledge accessible to everyone. It is quite possible that it may become a necessary skill in the future. As to H2O Mechanic, If I open YT and find a newly uploaded video from him, it will be the first thing I watch.I really love the work ethic, the attitude, and drilling wells is fascinating to me.
Thank you for your 'hole in the ground university'. I have lived in Oregon, on wells, for most of my 67 years, and even so, I have learned so much. Thank you, be 'well'.
That's a great story about the guy from Costa Rica. I can tell you one thing for sure. The most important part of accomplishing anything in life is the ability to go for it. I know this because I defeat every single idea i have because i get caught up in all the reasons it won't work rather than just doing it. I defeat myself and it's made my life not so great.
Happy birthday! Just wanted to say thank you for all the knowledge you’ve provided on your channel, my wife and I are buying a home soon and it has a well and I didn’t have any clue about them. You’re now one of my favorite channels to watch. Keep up the good work.
Buddy I usually only subscribe to a channel after watching a few 3-5 videos, I found your channel a few months back and Subscribed after the first video and have been binge-watching your stuff ever since. I am hooked on it, I may need an intervention, I can't stop. love your content and everything you do and how you do it people are extremely lucky to have you work for them. Keep up the good work.
I like watching other drillers work with different rigs. Weve drilled in michigan for 60 plus yrs with a gardner denver 1000. We dont drill with air. We use bentonite to the bedrock. Then drill with clear water. Were also running 2, 5x6 mudpumps to flush cuttings out. Its an old turntable rig. But still drills efficiently
Another great day drilling . The mic helped a lot. Thanks again from an old timer that done the same job a long time ago . Brings back memories . Happy Birthday 🎉
It’s hard not to find this fascinating! I started to watch your videos after I purchased a new home on 5 acres, and wanted to learn a few things about our new well. Love your channel! Now I might not get ripped off by our local well guy😂
Whoa, someone took “learned it on UA-cam” to the next level-460’ deep level. It’s one thing to learn how to build something from UA-cam, but to go out and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to do so is next level.
Not to mention that besides watching a bunch of videos and spending money on equipment, it still requires a certain amount of skill and dedication to make use of that. Every idiot who can muster the money to buy a rig and watches the videos can try to start drilling, and many would get somewhere after a while, sure including breaking stuff and all that comes with it. And to be honest, that is part of how we learn, so not necessarily a bad thing. But only few will be able to understand the learned in a way that allows them to pull such a thing of on the first attempt.
The drill setup that I saw is a little over $4,000 - not hundreds of thousands. Yes you can easily get to that with these bigger more advanced units but if a person is willing to put a little work in they can get a less advanced machine
Great Video as always. I am impressed that some purchased a well deilling machine and drilled his first well to 500 ft. just by watching and learning from your well drilling videos. You are good person to teach others how the job should be done. Happy Birthday Phillip.
I can see where someone could watch your channel and then open their own well drilling business. You do a superb job with your explanations and are very “well” spoken. I have learned a ton from your videos. Keep up the good work!!
I cased water wells for twenty years. All of ours were 5 and 10 inch wells some twelve . All were steel loved to weld them together. 600 foot pluse . We used 6011 rod . Love it we would race each other to get our half done first . Used pipe was 1/4 minus gap . Love it .
Really enjoy these. As a much younger man I drilled with a 20W cable tool rig for almost a year. A great learning experience. Keep up the great content!
Thanks for Yet Another Great vidclip ... What Really Productive 'Hole' .... Also, thanks for sharing the 'Story' about DAVID .... Super Interesting .... Very Best to Him there in Costa Rica .... Such Great Determination .... Well Done .... Best to ALL from ChCh, NZ
I've been watching all of your videos ever since i found a well on my small off grid homestead. This week, I'm hoping to get it taged, then some time after getting a dc pump and sticks installed. Thanks for sharing, and as always, keep building 👍
Always enjoy your videos from up here in Ontario Canada. I really like how you explain everything about drilling or plumbing. Here we use steel casing with a minimum of 22ft. and I just finished getting a 200ft. well drilled at my cottage. I do all my own plumbing for years now and didn’t know anything about drilling or plumbing up a well. Thanks to you and your channel I’ve learned a lot. Keep up the great videos and I’ll be following you.
Happy birthday! I cain’t work anymore, been disabled since 2016. I try to watch every episode as soon as possible. I have learned a lot, didn’t realize all the things that go into drilling a well . May never need it but I bet money I could drill one now lol keep up the great work, I will be there!!!!!😊😊😊
Growing up in Montana I only wish my dad had a nice rig like that, manual labor was it, no drill rod carrier, tripped to a trailer by hand, well we’re usually 600’ plus, diamond bit hammers were your friend. Thanks for the videos brings back a lot of memories
Ya know your good at what ya do when someone can start a business from just watching your channel ‼️👍😊 That's awesome 👊 Happy birthday and really so hope ya get to your goal this month... Ya definitely deserve it 🎉
Happy Birthday Phillip! Love your videos and always look forward to the next one. I enjoy learning new things and loved learning about water wells and more.
@@2wwwillybecause of people taking some elses hard work and getting paid for it while doing next to nothing. a water mark makes that less possible. offcourse some would still be able to do it because nothing can be made 100% error proof but it will weed out most of the content abusers.
video stealers hack me off, I always call them on it when I see it and make it plain and obvious to anyone watching that theyre not the maker. Very informative, I just found a fascination with well drilling. I still want to pan off some of the well gravels and see whether they bring out any gold lol almost 100k
It was my dream to drill wells and provide water for everyone. Then I learned the truck , bits , permits , licences, and the two million dollars it would take to get started and that stopped that . 😢
I love watching you work but most off all is drilling the wells, I remember when I had my well drilled the guy used a old churn machine and 20 plus gallons a minute was as fast as he could pull it off and never could pull it down and he stopped at about 75 ft deep and that has been about 35 years and I put the pump in it very similiar to the way you do and have never had to touch i just use the water, keep up the good work,
I JUST NOW SUBSCRIBED,I dont know but u just night know what a rock drill is,I was a Furakawa Rock Drill tech,NOTHIN I MEAN NOTHING like what u do,these are on tracks, with 6 12ft drill rods on a changer,Use them in mines and rock quarries,The first one that was made in the USA HAD 2 CAT motors, one ran hydraulic pumps the other ran an compressor, when it came time to test it i got to go to a quarry,MAN it was neat to see how they drill and pour explosives in the holes, some 12ft dp some 36ft,wasnt there the day they imploded the holes,Was a machine shop,Japnese bought the place,10yrs later they tore all the buildings down, blew up the smoke stack, now called Furakawa North American HQ,IN Kent,Ohio,i had almost 30yrs working there Like your vids interesting how to drill a well, like i said nothin i did was like what u do
Howdy neighbor, lol apparently you are fairly close by as I live in NC. i have been enjoying your videos, most everything i know in plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repair has been learned the hard way (home repairs) but i wish id had this resource when i was a young man! you are obviously a very knowledgeable young man. (im betting dad deserves a little credit here) :)
Great videos! We are learning a lot. We are on the West coast, getting ready to have a well drilled, in our area the well drilling and the pump installation are not together. We have to get 2 separate companies 😢 which costs more. Maybe we can do the pump part, as we continue to learn?? Wells are new for us since we were raised within cities and have always just turned on the tap! Big learning curve for us!! Thank you and keep up the good work and your integrity is refreshing! Blessings to you and your family S&B
been watchin your video a fair bit wanting to learn more about the systems and your drilling riggs. hope to understand it before probably looking into buying me one. thank you
When a new subscriber has subscribed, dont forget to hit the ALL selector to be notified when a new video is loaded! I have enjoyed your videos for a spell now. I dont believe there is a mic that would cancel the rig's noise without killing your voice too. Obviously when the mic dies, so does the audio. Keep trying with your new mic until you find a sweet spot considering the background noise that is drilling. Keep the videos coming!! -Bob...
Happy birthday boss I’ve been around for awhile now and going nowhere and I hate tictok I don’t use it or go their so they get nothing from me enjoy ur birthday have a good ome
That would have been a much better story if it had included you and your dad taking a chance on that young man and had brought him to Virginia and taught him a skill he could have taken back to Cost Erica. Sometimes you just gotta say.... Yes!!
Happy Birthday Philip Love your videos. Keep up the Amazing Work you and your family are doing. Love the information and knowledge you include. Sorry to hear the problems you are having with some pirate that is stealing your videos. God Bless you and your Family. 💦💧🚰 Keep it Flowing

Awesome!! Hats off the the guy who purchased a rig Nd dug his first well from the school of youtube-knocks
Happy birthday!

Happy birthday. Thank you for the educational content. Your channel has made a positive contribution to our water system.
We are from Ontario Canada and your videos are the best teaching tools for installing well pump system
Happy Birthday. You look pretty good for 40 .
I can see where someone could watch your channel and then open their own well drilling business. You do a superb job with your explanations and are very “well” spoken. I have learned a ton from your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Most states in the US require you work for a drilling operation for several years before being able to be licensed to do it yourself.

Shale boot on bottom of casing works good
I love watching your videos
Happy birthday from one driller to another
Happy Birthday young man
C'mon people, help this guy out to reach his goal. It costs you nothing and it's not easy to do what he's doing! It's just one click of your mouse.
very good video! thank you
If that mic has noise reduction that you can adjust, try a little bit less aggressive of a setting, see if that helps a bit.
you need to water mark your videos with you logo on the screen like LSM does, or Reed Trimmer on the tornado videos.
Why ..😢😢
@@2wwwillybecause of people taking some elses hard work and getting paid for it while doing next to nothing. a water mark makes that less possible. offcourse some would still be able to do it because nothing can be made 100% error proof but it will weed out most of the content abusers.

Another great video.
I just realized you are really close to me!
Thanks... Great Job.
Hope you had a great birthday! Thanks for your videos.
One of my first drillers got carried away with the foamer one day. We were wading in about 3 feet of dirty foam trying to load dynamite into the hole.
Finally! You need a drilling rig!)))
Excellent channel, Very interesting process.
Great work ethics
I enjoy all your videos, they are very informative!
