To clarify, I think it would be great if the range extension is optional or even adjustable (from 0 until whatever the current max range is according to number of roboports used)
I know this is like 2 months old, but I wonder if Mike ever figured out that his "11"-belt copper mine is in fact only 10 belts, because there are 2 halves of a belt that didn't get merged :P Edit: oh, he did around 1:57:00 :D
it really would be nice in 2.0 when you could form "formations" with the spiders (like a grid or line), imagin having 10 Spiders next to each other bringing world peace.
During designing I often go into map editor mode to make the design process more visual, then I use those to power the test builds. I always go back to the last save after tho
