"It was on our side." classic response :) Smilin Jack ran for 40 years (1933-73)
Lady 3 would have used 34 tanks.
I don't know if it happened when contestant #2 was coaching, but I remember a funny story about Columbia crew. They held their meets on the Harlem River. One time years ago, they won a meet (I think against Yale) when their opponent's boat hit a submerged sofa.
What show were you watching ? The coach was # 2.

Having been born and raised in Philadelphia, I got a kick out of hearing them mangle the word "Schuylkill" It's pronounced scookel; Kitty was closest.
I'll bet none of them put yellow mustard on their soft pretzels, either.

The rower was on What's My Line, so I recognized him.
Wasn't that crew coach featured on What's My Line?
Around 15:11 someone is lurking over Tom Poston's left shoulder.
I saw that ... ???
So ? Of what significance could that possibly be ?

never heard of smilin jack but then I read the NY Post.
Was this Ralph's last program ?
Ralph Bellamy in his craggy tones: "Who etched the cave drawings down in the grotto of yadda, yadda, yadda...!"
Polly and her Pollyantics ...
The third man in the Smiling Jack segment was handsome.
When he stood up, he was still the same height as the other two seated.
No,you are wrong
