The date on this episode has been driving me crazy (Sep 11, 1966 was a Sunday, not a Monday). Also, there is no evening episode listed in the newspaper listings of the time. I won a Felix the Cat board game when I was a kid from a contest sponsored by a local television station. It was a prized possession for many years. Loved the cartoon.

There was a predecessor called "Nothing But the Truth," but I am not sure if it failed or ran in that timeline. You would have to research that.
